Didn't buy anything just yet, BUT walking in there was no pressure and the sales lady that walked up to us just introduced herself and let us do our thing until we were ready to talk. She spent the time to talk with us and went through our plans and pointed out several options for couches we were looking at. She even advised of the option of having a design specialist put together something specific for our needs/wants. From experience, furniture stores can be hit or miss when it comes to customer service; but based on this experience we will go back once we are ready to pull the trigger. First impressions are a big thing for me and I felt comfortable here. read more

My couch seat cushions sinking, back cushions NOT EVEN CUSHIONS, so wrinkled from day 1, not filled enough with cottany garbage filler, back of couch never lined up, back seams LOOK AMATEURISH. DO NOT BUY THIS COUCH even tho many reviewers like the style/color. I did too. Serviceman cd not fix issues. Got stuck with this $2600+ overpriced uncomfortable piece from Havertys (I thought was a custom/quality company). The prices are higher than a lot of other furniture stores but then you get what you pay for. The salesman Dan was extremely professional and courteous and gave us our space :). My family and I have been long time customer's of Haverty's. We've been shopping there since 2011. We've always had pleasant experiences there and the sales staff was always willing to negotiate with us. Even when there were no sales they still went above and beyond to get us the best deal. Not anymore. It's not about the customers but their bottom line. We recently purchased a new home and welcomed our first child. Since we shopped at Haverty's for so long we wanted to go there first to purchase our new furniture. The sales associate we had was friendly. But when it came time to negotiate management wasn't interested. It was almost as if we were insulting them asking them to work with us. After a bit of conversation they finally gave us free shipping but refused to budge on anything else. Most Brick and Mortars and online retailers offer free shipping but they acted like it was such a tremendous deal. We reminded them that we were long time customer's and really wanted to work out a deal. They basically told us that we could walk out of the store and they wouldn't care. Apparently they don't care about costumer loyalty or how much money you have spent there so please take caution and shop somewhere else unless you are willing to pay what they want. read more

I bought a couch and swivel chair in October 2022, when delivered both pieces were defective/damaged. They replaced the swivel chair, when replacing the couch they should up with the wrong color. 8 months later I'm still dealing with customer service to resolve. Beware of the white glove delivery service and beware of the customer service after you purchase your furniture. Once they have your money, they don't care and do not follow up at all. I've made countless calls with corporate and store managers. Would not recommend Havertys to purchase high end furniture, the customer service just isn't there. read more

From the purchase experience to the delivery, everything was excellent. I was always kept informed of when the furniture would arrive and it was delivered exactly as promised. So we went in to check it out and this super snotty, obnoxious sales lady followed us around telling us about all the sales and deals, when we obviously didn't want to talk to her (walked away, said no thank you many times, etc). So we started to walk out and she asks me if I found anything I liked, and I said yes but I was looking for my fiancé. I see him, and he gives me the "Let's get out of here" face. We start to leave, and she screeches,"You don't want to SHOW me what you liked?!?" And we once again said "No thank you" and she scoffed at us and rolled her eyes at us. Clearly, when salespeople aggressively go after you so much that they capitalize on very basic human decency to edge their way into making a sale, it makes the entire furniture shopping experience very uncomfortable. First of all, approaching me aggressively and telling me that they are my salesperson and that they will be helping me, makes me want to approach another sales person to do business. Regardless of what their system is. And making an entire furniture sales situation so impossible just makes me want to go to ikea. I don't have the time nor energy to prop up these ancient, uncomfortable and manipulative business practices. I once held Havertys In really high regard, but now I would much rather pay for maybe quality handmade furniture or ikea than deal with this nonsense. read more

We went to the Wesley Chapel location and were there to furnish our living room, master bedroom and kitchen. I'm not sure if we didn't look like we could afford it, but not a single person approached us. They were standing around talking amongst themselves. We walked around the entire store and still not a single person approached us, it wasn't until we reached the front of the store that someone approached us. I informed him that not a single person approached us and he missed out on a sale. We left! read more

This was the WORST experience. 90% of what we purchased (we furnished our entire home with Havertys) either needed to be exchanged, Fix by a tech person, or returned all together. I would be here all day with the headache if I wrote out how many times they sent someone out to fix all the problems... with MULTIPLE visits. Drawers with missing ball bearings. A console delivered 3 times with various issues and the the last visit still needed the tech person to fix the latch Two ottomans (we eventually returned it) ripped fabric and then the fabric was crooked on the 2nd one. It took 8 weeks to get a new one from the ripped one and we had to send it all back anyways. Custom pillows that matched ottoman... we upgraded the stuffing to down. One came with down (that we wanted ) the other with some synthetic stuffing... we were charged for the the down. 5 barstools... they were not fully put together. We could see screws and wood that was not to be seen. Someone came out to fix it MULTIPLE TIMES... forgot parts. Parts were shipped... the parts didn't arrive... we eventually sent them back due to the headache and 6 months after purchasing still trying to "fix" them. Custom chair (we ordered 2) one was damaged on the way to our house... we ended up waiting an additional 8 weeks to get it and I had to call to get it. No one was going to let us know it was ready. All of this does not include all the phone calls and that customer serviced promised to take money off due to all the problems and hassles... but they would give the credit once everything was settled all the open service tickets were completed... they offered me a $50 gift card to their store... they can SHOVE IT! This "offer" was the last straw and I told them to come get the barstools. We went elsewhere and have not had to have anyone come fix them. Take them apart or try and put them back together. Stay FAR away from Havertys! And when the sales person says they have Ethan Allen quality... DO NOT fall for it! Just do yourself a favor and go to Ethan Allen read more

I purchased a dining room set from Haverty's and after waiting 7 months it finally arrived. However, the mirror that came with the set was either a used return item or a floor model. There were dents and scratches on the mirror. Now, 8 months after we first ordered it we are still waiting for a replacement and haven't gotten any satisfaction from Haverty's. read more

We were greeted once we walked in by Jennifer. She asked what we were looking for. We advised her of our needs and she allowed us to explore. Jennifer checked in with us many times as we went around the store. Once we made it around the store, Jennifer spoke to us to see what we liked and went over with us options. She was very patient and so helpful with helping us pick out a new living room and master bedroom. Jennifer was so friendly and made us feel welcomed. I went in and picked out a glider for our new baby's nursery. I worked with Morgan, who is absolutely fantastic. She showed me a lot of options and we ended up completely customizing a glider. It was delivered after about three weeks. Scheduling the delivery was a bit of a headache, but ultimately worked out fine. However, when the glider got here, it made a weird noise and we noticed one of the bolts underneath was loose, and another was missing. It was, again, a little bit of a nightmare, not to mention a disappointment, scheduling service for the chair. BUT Morgan completely saved the day. She took care of everything and made sure someone got here ASAP to fix it. Now, it works great. I don't know if I would consider going back if it weren't for her. Got two rooms furnished with haverty's Wesley Chapel. Had to return the twin mattresses because they were to high for my son to climb on. Then I noticed the trundle was very poorly put together and called to return/exchange it. So now I have to clear two whole days to be available for them because they can't do both on the same day. The lady on the phone was short and unfriendly. And the more you buy the more they charge to deliver it; you would think they would lower the delivery fee the more you spend. We purchased our living room from Haverty's. Our designer Rodney put together a beautiful plan and we couldn't be happier with the final result and he took the time to review everything with us, with multiple options. The only issue we had was with the cocktail table, we are on our third attempt at getting one without issues, but that seems to be a manufacturing defect each time. The store and customer service has been stellar in dealing with it. We have a bedroom set on the way and will most likely make additional purchases from them. read more

I was absolutely blown away at the customer service at Haverty's. Shannon the salesman was AMAZING!! He walked us around the entire store gave great information and detail about all the furniture. I was unsure of the decor style I wanted to go and was told they have an interior design service at no cost no strings attached. Rodney the designer as also AMAZING. He came to my home measured the space, took photos, heard my ideas. When we finally met with Rodney to see the design ideas, he NAILED it. I would absolutely NOT recommend going to Havertys to shop for anything. We ordered 4 bar stools from there and after being told it would take 5 weeks before we would get it, something we were fine with, we were informed that they were going to be another week late. Fine. Then they show up but the delivery guy tells us that only 3 were ordered and the 4th would be delivered the next day. I go to the store to arrange a different delivery day, only to find out that only 3 chairs were made and there was no 4th chair! I can deal with people who make mistakes and admit to it. I have no tolerance for people who make up stuff. They gave us some coupon to apologize and I told them I would never be cashing that out. Thank goodness I spent the heavy money at Hudsons in Brandon. HIGH recommendation for that store and all my other purchases will be from there. read more

After checking out the Ashley Furniture next door, we head out and check Haverty's we couldn't have been happier to check Ashley first because we know Haverty's is going to be our last stop. Look for Rich! He's an awesome consultant. Nope! He's no pushy salesman. Actually, I don't think he knew we were going to get a couch that same day. I think he thought we were just looking around. He was really professional and nice to talk to. Even gave us the information about the couches that we liked and his contact information. However, he didn't know we have already decided to buy one that very day! lol We also like how Haverty's has many options that you can choose from with all the different customization and upgrades that you could do. But we never felt overwhelmed because Rich was very helpful with us. read more

We purchased three rooms of furniture from the Wesley Chapel store just over two years ago, and we purchased a Guardsmen insurance policy on the furniture at that time. Our sofa cost a small fortune because we chose custom color fabric. Only a few months after using the sofa, the fabric was pilling horribly. When I called the store, I was told by the rep I spoke to that, "we found out that vendor used fabric that wasn't on the approved list, and we've had a lot of calls about this fabric." They replaced the cushion covers anyway -- and yes, you guessed it -- with the same fabric. When I asked what would happen if it pilled again, I was told, "we'll deal with it when it occurs. Let's not worry about it until it happens." Well, here we are again, and my overpriced sofa is full of pills again, and I'm told by Guardsmen, "we don't cover that." My opinion of the way they operate is less than stellar. How can you possibly sell me a sofa that you let a vendor use inferior fabric on and not stand by that to make it right? read more
