Cool event space with cover party bands playing frequently.but beer was lower end craft beer with much tasting like average home brew. Weird attitude of the owner and the employees talking trash about other local businesses. Heard they just went under after making some very questionable business decisions including high interest loans, an unreasonably high lease, and large volume brewing equipment that was way over their needs . Havoc Brewing is located in downtown Pittsboro. My mom and I dined in at West End then came down here to grab a pint and watch football before heading home. They had a good selection of beer, I went with an IPA and mom had the mexican lager. If you do not drink beer they offer other options. Really happy my cousin's introduced me to this spot! Came here after a local basketball game to grab a drink and some food. Very spacious brewery with a nice area for live music, and at the same time they have an array of board games you can also play. The beer menu is pretty extensive so whether you like an IPA or a wheat ale you have options. Currently in the middle of dry January so I stuck with a yuzu mocktail while my cousins had beer and wine. There was also a seafood truck outside so we took advantage of that. Highly recommend!!!! Huge outdoor space with Adirondack chairs and a fire pit. We went for live music and appreciated the large patio space and large indoor space. They had a food truck but if you want pizza you can just grab it from the pizza place down the road, which is what we did. We would DEFINITELY go back here as the area is so cute and this brewery was a great vibe. read more

Nice selection of beers, wine, and ciders, and our party of 9 all reported positively on their selections. Very spacious and open. On this warm evening in January they had the patio doors open, and smoke wafted in from the patio tables. They had live music, a group called Skeleton Crew, that was loud, but played a nice selection really well. Everything about Havoc was pretty nice, but they featured a food truck called Pana's Flavors that took nearly an hour to get food out to patrons. Come for the beer selection and the live music, it's worth the trip. read more

I have watched this company slowly opening up with great anticipation. I used to go to the Roadhouse as this building was in the past. Finally I actually had a chance to sit down and try a flight of their beers. As I did find a few that were to my liking. They also serve wine and Meade ( honey wine, made here in Pittsboro) The place is expand and huge amounts of elbow room. As you walk I. The front door you will see a couch and chairs to your left. Making this a cozy area to enjoy a beer and watch the many TV screens that are around the bar. If you prefer to belly up to the bar, no worries . They are adapted to any size belly you have. Lots of seating inside and outside. I would think off the top of my head. They can accommodate 250 to 300 people. Inside and outside. They have entertainment also. Also listed on there web site is the upcoming events that will take place. They do not serve food. But you can have food catered in or bring your own. I seen people with pizza, and other foods from local restaurants. They have a food truck on hand also. What a great brewery, and addition to Downtown Pittsboro. If you are visiting Pittsboro, make plans to stop by this establishment and get a brew. I am sure they will have one you will enjoy. read more

Very cool new place. As a former brewery manager, and huge craft beer fanatic, I am rarely impressed at the opening of new breweries because they often need some time to get on their game. Far too often, the beer is somewhat of a letdown because the brewers haven't hit their stride. This was not the case with havoc brewing. I tried all six of their house beers, as well as the Mead produce nearby, and they were all very tasty. The space is large and well appointed. The staff was very pleasant and helpful, and even though the lines to get beers appeared to be long, The wait was very short. Being that it was the grand opening, I expected some glitches, but really didn't notice any. A live band was playing outside and helped to create a great atmosphere. All in all, I'm super glad I checked this place out. I highly recommend it. read more

They've changed the old General Store spot, and it's amazing, but ear splitting music is not my thing. The patio is large and inviting. Great fire pit! They always have a food truck or you can bring your own. I love the space but wish they would turn down the volume. That atmosphere is not relaxing for me. read more

Great beer in a super-casual atmosphere. Havoc is very good at doing what they do: they serve great beer in an open and kid-friendly environment. They don't have food of any kind, so BYO if you're hungry. We brought pizza from Elizabeth's and had a couple of beers and a glass of wine. The ambiance is wide-open and industrial: concrete floors with lots of hard surfaces to bounce sound around. At 5:30 on a Friday night many of the big tables were full of families with small children. It's very loud in Havoc, so kids playing just kind of blended in. There was a band playing which was quite good, but the acoustics didn't do them any favors. About the beer: there's a long list and anybody should be able to find something that suits them. I had a porter, and then a stout and both were great: medium-bodied for the genre and not too sweet. A minor niggle is that Havoc has jumped on the tip-inflation bandwagon. The bartender, who had given us our drinks, then the bill, delivered it and asked "do you want to leave 20%, 25%, or 30%?" read more

I'm probably in the minority as I'm reviewing Havoc for my morning latte (I also love the brewery). Great place to sit on my laptop and get work done while having my latte. First I have to speak to their staff. Some of the most amazing bartenders I've ever worked with. They make everyone feel welcome and comfortable while making some of the best coffee drinks I've had. The space is inviting and a great place to get my work done. Even better, my dogs love coming here and hanging out. Whether for beer or coffee, I highly recommend Havoc. read more

Havoc Brewing is a welcome addition to the SoCo complex in Pittsboro. We've been regulars since they opened about a year ago. I like a wide variety of beers and everything I've tried from them has been outstanding. Of note, I can really appreciate the finer touches they have put into the space - for example the dedicated ordering areas with a low top bar so you do not have to fight your way through seating customers to put in your order with the bartender. The owners are seen regularly which is a plus. They have also set up a very nice area for food trucks to park out by the outdoor seating area and they have a very wide variety of trucks visiting every day of the week. Monday night trivia night is a lot of fun with a variety of questions all over the map. Please give them a try and support your local businesses! read more
