    Hawaii Bowl

We found this spot while in Eagan. To our surprise there are actually multiple locations around the twin cities. The staff was patient and knowledgeable, understanding this was our first time visiting. The bowls were surprisingly large! With a choice of white rice, brown rice, or quinoa prior to the toppings. The Hawaii bowl had chicken, shrimp, and tofu. It was a little strange to have the hot rice and cold toppings, but it all combined well. You can choose any of the veggies/fruits so I opted to add edamame and mango to my bowl as well. The only bummer was the pineapple wasn't really whereas the avocado was partially overripe. We also tried the seaweed salad which was a large portion as well. It all paired nicely with the Hawaiian Sun variety we tried. It was honestly a great change of pace for us. We left absolutely stuffed. We intend to try locations closer to home in the future.

Honestly, Hawaii Poke Bowl in Eagan is some of the best fresh/sushi in the entire city! The ingredients are SO fresh and it's always quick to order. We've dined in, ordered to-go, and ordered via Doordash but found that ordering at the counter is the best option. Both my husband and I choose to build our own poke bowls but it's nice they offer signature bowls in case you may not know what you want to order. I love that they offer mango on their menu - it's my favorite part of sushi so it's awesome they offer that on bowls. Parking is easy and there has never been a real long line when we've visited. Overall, a wonderful place to get fresh food for a quick, "fast food" alternative!

I've been to this spot about four times over the last few months. It's consistently delicious! I typically get the dragon bowl. Depending on who is there the service will be great or kinda awful! Besides the possibility of bad service it's always clean and delicious

My favorite poke spot in Minnesota. Lots of options to create your own bowl and they give pretty good portions for $20 or less. Not a lot of people stay and dine each time I've been but the inside is cute and has lots of booths and tables. It's located in a strip with plenty of other food and shopping options, so there's plenty of parking available.

Love love love the bowls here. I always get the mini bowl and it is so much food! This location is always clean and the sitting area is much bigger than other locations. The employees are very friendly.

We wanted something relatively quick for dinner -- but not traditional fast food, and we wanted something close to our hotel. There were numerous options to chose from but when I saw that one was a poke bowl place -- I knew that was it. And I'm glad we went. You can build your own bowl or select from a number of "signature bowls." Being a first timer at this establishment, I opted to go the signature route and order the "Rainbow Bowl." My companion chose the "Tuna Lover's Bowl." Each bowl was filled to capacity starting with a base layer of rice (white or brown), then generous helpings of the fish, other veggies such as edamame, cucumber and avocado, then topped with selected garnishes for texture and flavor. We were well sated by the time we finished. So two thumbs up and a bunch of stars from me. Fresh food, fast food, unique food, tasty food -- and not something I typically see in the upper-Midwest states of Minnesota and Wisconsin.

Still the best Poke Bowl place I've ever been to in Minnesota. The Dragon Bowl has all my favorite proteins and toppings. Love their complimentary lemon water. Highly recommended this place for a healthy lunch.

There are still a lot of places that close around 7pm so it was nice to stumble upon this place that is open a little later with indoor sitting. I ordered the volcano bowl which is a bowl they put together for you. It had lots of things and had a bit of a Kick with all the spices. I opted out of Sriracha since I saw it had spicy Mayo, jalapeños, and the salad part was mixed in some spicy sauce mix. I ate almost the whole bowl!! The pepper tuna was interesting but good. The salmon was fresh and I had it over brown rice. After I was done, I went up and got some dole whip. The sign for flavors is by the door. I asked for raspberry but was told they only had a couple flavors that evening. I got the pineapple and it was delicious. You get a lot! Good place! Next time, I'd probably build my own bowl so I can get some of the toppings that were not present in my choice.

I ordered dinner through DoorDash for myself and a friend and wow!!! They're so beautiful. We both ordered the Tuna Lovers bowl, I got mine with mixed veggies (mostly arugula and lettuce) and she got hers with rice. The ordering is super simple, and you can choose to make your own bowl. I liked this bowl a lot, the only downside for me is that it was a little too spicy that's my own fault though, I'm not very good with spice. But my friend loved hers and didn't notice much heat so take that as you will! I cannot wait to go back and build my own bowl, they have SO many protein options. I highly recommend the crab salad, it was delicious.

I admit, I was skeptical...a Minnesota Hawaii Poke Bowl? Glad to admit I was WRONG! Fresh raw & cooked seafood today rocked my midwestern heart (and tummy). My cooked eel in my 2-scooper bowl was better than some restaurants I've paid more for (don't forget to add their eel sauce-YUM). And the spicy tuna (raw) was refreshingly fresh and perfectly balanced with the rest of my brown rice bowl. My dining parter had the Volcano Bowl which was phenomenal (only I *need* to have eel). I love how each bowl is created according to your taste/whim/wishes. It is a little daunting to walk in & be visually assaulted by ALL the choices (like I was), but listen to your server-she will help you customize your bowl!

I love Hawaii Poke Bowl! My bowls have always been fresh -- you can definitely tell the quality is there. When I first started coming here I would get the Tuna Lovers bowl, but wasn't a huge fan of the peppered tuna in it. Now I just build my own with all the same stuff except I swap the peppered tuna for spicy salmon. Oh, and I usually add shrimp too. This is a great place as a healthier option and perfect in the summer on a hot day! In the fall/winter I also get a bowl of their miso soup that is fairly big and always hot. Highly recommend!

If I'm being honest, I've always been scared of Poke Bowls! I've been diving into sushi and decided to try a "deconstructed sushi roll" (I made that up). I made my own and got spicy tuna, marinated tuna, and krab with white rice, the works, and a spicy meat sauce all topped with furikake, yum yum sauce, and tempura flakes. When I say to you it was life changing I'm not kidding. It also helps that the staff there is so amazing and friendly and gave me pointers for my first time ordering. I also would not order a poke bowl at a standard restaurant, but it tasted so fresh and delicious I'd highly recommend!

Located on the south side, 3rd floor. The first thing I noticed when I walked up was that they were out of so many items!! They had a tv screen with napkins blocking at least 3-4 items saying "sold out." I also noticed their fountain soda was sold out of every flavor except Starry and Pepsi. That's wild to me. This is the Mall of America! Despite being out of so many items, the item I was there for, was still in stock. I couldn't help but notice the counters were very dirty. The front of this place also had a lot of trash around it. The mall does get very busy, but this was not a good look, and there are plenty of food joints around here that looked clean. The girl who took my order was straight to the point, no greeting. Just "what do you want." I ordered a number one. This includes 6 wings a side of your choice and a beverage. Soy garlic seems to be the most popular, so I got that. The food was handed to me fairly quickly. But it was not what I ordered. I like a good bone in wing, and I was given the number 2- boneless wings.... Because I don't mind those, I didn't say anything and just took my food. Do not get the boneless! They are spongy, had dark meat in them and at one point I spit out the wing because it just tasted like old chicken! There was barely any sauce on the wings! The fries were standard. The starry tasted like cleaning chemicals and I did not drink it. May be the stand alone restaurants are better, but this was actually disgusting. I will not be returning to this location. Given the amount of food options, I'd say go ANYWHERE else!

The restaurant was…read moresurprisingly busy for a Wednesday especially given the terrible driving conditions outside. Overall, the experience was full of joy and mostly good food. The staff were kind, and the Hibachi Chef was fairly skilled and entertaining. I've been to Hibachi many times and I will say this chef probably did the least amount of entertainment while cooking, but that didn't compromise the food or experience necessarily. I ordered the Hibachi 5 course Teriyaki chicken and I upgraded to fried rice for an extra charge. Price came out to around $50 which is also quite a bit more money than most other hibachi establishments I've been to. The food in the 5 course was onion soup, salad, shrimp, fried rice with grilled veggies, teriyaki chicken and ice cream. Beginning from first meal to last, the soup was pretty tasty, but far from many more delicious soups I've had at other Hibachi restaurants. I didn't feel the need to finish every last drop to put it that way. Next the salad was a ginger dressing, which to be honest I did not enjoy. Typically I love hibachi ginger salad dressing, but with this one, the gritty ginger separated from the oil and turned into two separate very different liquids with ginger sitting on top of the lettuce and oil pooling at the bottom. Hard pass on the salad dressing on this occasion. Next was the vegetable fried rice. This was delicious and by far my favorite. I of course ate it with Yum Yum sauce which makes everything better. It was buttery, well cooked, and the yum yum gave it the perfect balance between umami fried rice and the creaminess of the sauce. The main course was the Teriyaki chicken and some shrimp. It was a chicken breast and I thought it was well cooked and the teriyaki sauce was tasty, sweet and fairly rich. Once again I dipped it into my yum yum sauce, seriously yum yum on everything is the way to go. The shrimp was delicious and well cooked but it's hardly a part of the meal as you get a couple small bits of it. Lastly was ice cream for dessert. Option's are vanilla, rainbow sherbet, green tea and chocolate and I had the vanilla. It was ok ice cream at best. Tasted like they just took a small scoop out of a Kemps container. It wasn't very creamy and was a bit icy like it got freezer burn, but hey, ice cream is ice cream. Overall my experience at Benihana was enjoyable, but mostly average. I wouldn't gloat by any means, but they did have massive servings and most everything is tasty so those were a plus. For $50 though.... I'd probably rather go get a high quality meal at some fancy bistro.
