Wonderful discovery while running errands in Eagan. The food was incredibly fresh and the bowls are plentiful. Took us a couple of minutes to decide what to get as they have a wide variety of options to pick from. I decided to go with the Volcano Bowl (swapped the jalapeños for edamame). The contrast of textures and flavor profiles was appreciated, while the little kick from the jalapeño sauce kept me going for more. Loved the combo of spicy mayo and sriracha on top, along with the crunchy bits for texture. Staff was very friendly and patient, and walked us through our options and recommendations. We found this spot while in Eagan. To our surprise there are actually multiple locations around the twin cities. The staff was patient and knowledgeable, understanding this was our first time visiting. The bowls were surprisingly large! With a choice of white rice, brown rice, or quinoa prior to the toppings. The Hawaii bowl had chicken, shrimp, and tofu. It was a little strange to have the hot rice and cold toppings, but it all combined well. You can choose any of the veggies/fruits so I opted to add edamame and mango to my bowl as well. The only bummer was the pineapple wasn't really whereas the avocado was partially overripe. We also tried the seaweed salad which was a large portion as well. It all paired nicely with the Hawaiian Sun variety we tried. It was honestly a great change of pace for us. Honestly, Hawaii Poke Bowl in Eagan is some of the best fresh/sushi in the entire city! The ingredients are SO fresh and it's always quick to order. We've dined in, ordered to-go, and ordered via Doordash but found that ordering at the counter is the best option. Both my husband and I choose to build our own poke bowls but it's nice they offer signature bowls in case you may not know what you want to order. I love that they offer mango on their menu - it's my favorite part of sushi so it's awesome they offer that on bowls. Parking is easy and there has never been a real long line when we've visited. I ordered the volcano bowl which is a bowl they put together for you. It had lots of things and had a bit of a Kick with all the spices. I opted out of Sriracha since I saw it had spicy Mayo, jalapeños, and the salad part was mixed in some spicy sauce mix. I ate almost the whole bowl!! The pepper tuna was interesting but good. The salmon was fresh and I had it over brown rice. After I was done, I went up and got some dole whip. The sign for flavors is by the door. I asked for raspberry but was told they only had a couple flavors that evening. I got the pineapple and it was delicious. You get a lot! Good place! I love Hawaii Poke Bowl! My bowls have always been fresh -- you can definitely tell the quality is there. When I first started coming here I would get the Tuna Lovers bowl, but wasn't a huge fan of the peppered tuna in it. Now I just build my own with all the same stuff except I swap the peppered tuna for spicy salmon. Oh, and I usually add shrimp too. Hawaii Poke Bowl is located in Central Park Commons. I recently stayed at a hotel two minutes away from here by car. On Saturday night, hours after I had arrived in town, I decided to drive around Central Park Commons and spotted this place. On Sunday afternoon, I came here for lunch. I parked steps away from the main entrance. Parking is diagonal in front of the eatery. I walked up to the entrance and noticed a huge sign for dole whip. I absolutely LOVE dole whip. I walked in and was mesmerized by a huge grass-like banner on the wall that said, "Enjoy the Freshness." I will! I looked at the menu and the rainbow bowl caught my eye. It had ahi tuna, yellowtail, and salmon, which are proteins that I love. Having edamame, crab salad, and avocado also sealed the deal. A nice man behind the counter asked if I had any questions. I did. I had to ask whether I could get the rainbow bowl with salad instead of rice. He said that I could. If I didn't like any of the ingredients listed, he would be happy to take them out and swap them for others. Nice! I ordered the rainbow bowl with salad. I kept everything in. If you check in on Yelp, you get either a free drink or free dole whip. OMG, the dole whip gods were out in full force! I showed another man the offer on my phone. With one of his gloved hands, he tapped the deal as being redeemed. He asked what dole whip I wanted. I am a swirl girl, Shirl. I went with strawberry and pineapple dole whip twist in a cup. You can also opt for a cone. I was so excited that it was ridiculous! I saw a bottle of jasmine unsweetened green tea in a bottle. I had to get it. I paid using a credit card. My meal was well under $20. It took no time for my meal to be ready. I thanked the man and found a table to sit down at. Staff are constantly cleaning tables and chairs here. I appreciated it. You can get free water where the cutlery is. Nice! The rainbow bowl was so good. The ingredients were fresh and tasty. I loved every single bite and was sad when it was over. Part of me was even scheming to order a bowl to take on the plane on Tuesday. I didn't have a chance to, but I may do that next time. The jasmine unsweetened green tea was so refreshing. It's exactly how I love it. It was nicely chilled, too. The strawberry and pineapple dole whip twist was incredible! I was beyond ecstatic having it for dessert. It was so creamy even though there's absolutely no cream in it. The flavours were fresh and so good! It's lactose-free, which makes me a happy camper. I stayed here for over an hour having lunch. There is free wifi. When I walked over to the washrooms, one of the staff members asked how my meal was. It was excellent, which made him happy. The women's washroom was clean and cool. It had a sink with a drying hand machine that lights up. I liked it. I had a wonderful experience. It seems crazy to see so many perfect ratings here. This place deserves every single one of them. Dole Whip in the Twin Cities! I know that most people come here for the poke, but I was craving Dole Whip, and was thrilled that there's a place in town that has pineapple Dole Whip every day + another flavor (usually watermelon). A few places in the northern suburbs have rotating flavors, but if you want pineapple, this is where to go. (Not all of the Hawaii Poke Bowl locations carry it, so I made a special trip to Eagan.) It's as good as what you get at the Dole Plantation in Hawaii, which is better than the Disneyworld version. Bright and fresh with lots of pineapple flavor, and smooth and creamy texture. And, I discovered that it freezes well, so the last time I went, I bought 3 cups to put in the freezer. I also got a poke bowl while I was there, and was impressed by all the choices for bases, fish, mix-ins, toppings, and sauces. You can mix and match based on your mood. I got 2 types of proteins, a lot of mix-ins, some crunchy toppings, and stuck with a single sauce. Everything came together really well, and was a very sizeable portion. The store itself is very clean and organized, and the staff was very helpful. Go for Dole Whip, and pick up a poke bowl while you're there! read more

The portions are generous, too--if you want more than one scoop or squirt just say so. The restaurant itself has limited seating--maybe a half dozen booths/tables. The format lends itself to take out anyway. Funny animal videos were playing on the one TV screen. The music was a bit kiddish/annoying. If I had one suggestion for the restaurant it would be to cut down on its use of plastic--bowl lids, utencils, water cups, etc. They do have recycling, but who knows these days where the plastic will actually end up since Asian countries are more selective about what they take. I eat a lot of poke and it showed just this week when I ended up eating thrice at Hawaii Poke. I was visiting Minneapolis and found this location on Yelp. I stopped by for dinner the first night (and lunch the following 2 days) and couldn't have been happier with my decision. Although they offer 4-5 curated bowls, I went with the make your own bowl option on all three occasions. What really makes (or breaks) a poke bowl is the quality/freshness of the ingredients and the variety to go with it. Hawaii Poke gets 5 stars for both. All of their protein (tuna, salmon, yellowtail, shrimp, tofu), fruit (mango and pineapple), vegetables (cherry tomatoes included) and toppings looked and tasted fresh. And they certainly offer the most number of garnish & toppings I have seen at any poke place including coconut flakes and lotus root. They also have a larger selection of sauces and I ended up trying and getting the Japanese citrus which I really enjoyed. I chatted with two of the owners the first day and they were eager to get any feedback once they learnt that I was familiar with poke and had eaten at various other poke concepts. That showed that really care and want to do an ever better job. Lunch lines do get long so I would recommend getting their early or planning as such. I love traditional Hawaiian poke, but this is the bomb. Why hasn't anyone in Hawaii done this yet?? The restaurant was so clean- like sterile-clean. And the decor was fresh, minimalistic, bright, and inviting. On the counter with the condiments, they offered infused icy-cold lemon water with your meal. The staff was good, but obvious they were new and a little green around the collar. There was one guy working the counter that was impeccable and obviously he was the boss-man training the other two.
