We discovered this place thanks to all the crazy construction on Dillingham! Because we were stuck in traffic, we noticed this store! So we googled, and unfortunately their hours are 9am to 3pm. We went back the following day to check out this store. They have all kinds of sewing supplies like a rainbow assortment of thread and ribbons. If you want to buy, you have to buy the whole roll. Cash only at this store, but the good thing is that most of their prices are reasonable! Reasonable like some things cheaper than Amazon! We also came back the next day to buy more things. This is where I come to purchase velcro, zipper, thread, needles, and industrial sewing supplies. They have zippers in black and white only and the longest they carry is 25". They are $1/ea and I think cheaper if you buy in bulk. They sell velcro on the roll and also velcro with adhesive. I love that stuff, it makes my job so much easier. I mainly wanted to write a review so I could provide the store hours for other customers because I always go through hoops trying to find their store hours which last I checked, was not on their answering machine or anywhere online. I was looking for a store with a good color selection of thread for my serger. This is DEFINITELY the place!! Prices are excellent for the spool size and quality of thread. It was a little difficult to find the store and another reviewer's directions are wrong. This place is NOT in the same area as Bella's Beads. Going toward town on Dillingham, it's the next driveway past CK Auto Service in a yellowish cream colored building on the right side. Going the other way, it'll be on your left after Dillingham Self Storage. My only caution is do not go there if you're in a rush or expect good service. I stood there waiting while the woman behind the counter had a full conversation with another customer who had already completed her purchase. She finally acknowledged me and was very nice in answering my question, but then again I waited for her to finish the conversation with this same customer when I had another question. I had no other place to be and I really needed thread, so I didn't mind as much. Just don't expect anything special when you go. I would have to say I was a fan, because I'll need to shop here from now on, unless I am informed about an other sewing place that sells stuff for an industrial sewing machine. Located across from HCC on Dillingham. You won't be able to see their shop from the road. So, if you are on Dillingham, going toward town, it's on the right had side, in the drive way where Bella's Bead is in. Coming down the opposite way, I wanna say the next driveway after GBC (the rainbow flags) It's more long then it is wide. I have only been there for INDUSTRIAL SEWING MACHINE items. No home sewing stuff. I am not sure if they even do that? They sell denim thread (in cones), needles, and oil for sure. They really know their stuff when it comes to old school machines; which I have. The owners; an old couple. I assume this because every time I go there, it's just them 2. are nice, and very helpful in trying to help you find what you need. Visited this store about a week ago, 10/7/15. just wanted to add my impressions of the store and the items they carry. I came in here looking for bias tape, but didn't find any. neither did I see piping. oilcloth / oil cloth and PVC coated nylon fabric: the most interesting thing I saw here that I don't see anywhere else, is this fabric that goes by the trade name oilcloth / oil cloth. another name it goes by is called PVC coated nylon fabric. These were offered in bright prints, ala LeSportsac or Tokidoki style prints. They have about a dozen in stock, the swatches of which were kept on a ring behind the counter. for special order, they have bundles of swatches that the owner left on a shelf - each page contained 5 swatches of a design, and there were at least 3 bundles of these swatch pages. these special order options were priced at $12/yard when I asked the clerk. not sure how wide and not sure whether shipping would be added. one could sew bags, totes, and home décor with it since it has plastic coating on one side. the colors and designs were so bright and cheery. sewing notions: items such as cotton twill tape (black or white) are sold as an entire roll. these are priced at $20-$30/roll. couldn't remember how many yards or feet per roll, but I remember one of them was 200 yards. they sell lace on a roll - not a lot of selection. they have shelves and plastic cabinets with safety pins, knotted "frog" fasteners (seen on Chinese coats), buttons, zippers, snaps, hook/eye fasteners, white elastic on a roll. these are not packaged with brand names on them - they're either loose or in a simple clear plastic bag. as others mentioned, shelves and shelves of cone thread in many colors. the picture someone posted is accurate. they carry nylon see-through thread on a cone also. machine presser feet: the picture of sewing machine presser feet in an acrylic display that someone posted appear to be the shank style. no particular brand is mentioned, however, these are generic. if you're thinking of buying presser feet, it would be better to bring in one of yours from your machine and compare the height with what they're selling. read more

I needed to find a slider and a pair of rings to make an adjustable strap for a bag. I went to Fabric Mart, Walmart, Kaimuki Dry Goods, Lowes, and Ben Franklin, but none of these places carried the hardware and some didn't even know what it was. Fortunately, I found this store on Yelp and they had exactly what I was looking for at a reasonable price (it cost less than what I would have paid on-line).
