You can literally see it on either side of the H-1 freeway going West Or East. These freshly made, warm, fluffy & crisp delicious Malasadas are perfect for any time of the day. Recommended to be eaten right away for best tasting deliciousness of these Malasadas. Service: Stopped by on a Saturday morning, there was no line, just one other customer ahead of me. The ladies working were pleasant, quick and efficient with my order. I ordered 2 with sugar and 2 without sugar. Tips; - Cashless so be sure to have a debit card or credit card on hand. -When visiting Oahu definitely a must stop. Ambience: - No outdoor seating area, order & go. - Outdoor & ample parking. - Enjoy your Malasadas at your car.

It was a Thursday afternoon, and we mingled with the intrepid tourists who drove to Central O'ahu. This malasadamobile is permanently parked in food truck row. You can see it from the freeway. You can see Laverne's, the malasasamobile, Mountain Shave Ice, Thong's Thai, Taste Tea, Dick's Lechon, and ... the blood bank mobile. The truck ladies had to be sweltering but they were still nice. And it's always a happy atmosphere when you're about to get a box full of deep-fried, sugar rolled doughnuts. I stuck with the classic sugar but we also got some cinnamon sugar and stuffed (dobash and haupia) to share.

The cream on top wasn't too sweet n' very light in texture, sorta like a whipped cream. The ensaymada was savory in flavor. The croissant was really good, had an almond paste inside n' on top. I inhaled the ube pandesal but that ule Bulilit bread? MY KRYPTONITE! The ube jam had my skirt flipping. Ube pandesal is a popular Filipino purple yam bread roll, characterized by its soft, fluffy texture, vibrant purple color, and often filled with cheese and ube halaya (purple yam jam). It is made with flour, yeast, sugar, ube powder/extract, and milk, then coated in breadcrumbs and baked. I learned that ube Bulilit bread is a popular Filipino bite-sized, soft bread filled with sweet, purple yam (ube) jam, most commonly sold by Valerio's Tropical Bakeshop. These small, chewy, golden buns are known for their vibrant purple filling and are often enjoyed as a snack or dessert. They offer a subtle, creamy sweetness and are a staple in Filipino bakeries, particularly in Hawaii. This place is not safe. Had I been the one to enter this establishment, I would leave lighter in the wallet and definitely heavier in weight!

I walked in after a heavy meal so that I wouldn't be buying too much for we know how all that works. Ends up with losing money and wasting food!!! However if you go in not starved, you will end up buying one or two baked goods and being happy with them. I tried their azuki bean bread and their coconut cream bread. The first thing I must say is that the bread is soft, not too sweet and good. The cream in the coconut bread is light, fluffy, not overly sweet and the whole thing together was a rather positive experience. I had a few words with the lady behind the counter and she said that they're super busy morning time. Of course, without zippys next door, they got all the baked goods business. I enjoyed their breads and I will definitely return. They probably have been in business for a long time, however this is my first time going and I will return for sure!
