Cheap prices. Great variety of baked goods. Friendly staff!! Valerio's Tropical Bakeshop is a cute little bakery tucked inside of Seafood City, and it always seems to be packed with people. Every time I've gone grocery shopping here, there's a crowd gathered around the bakery - which is usually a great sign. I tend to avoid crowds, so I've only stopped in twice so far, but both visits were worth it. The display cases and shelves are loaded with Filipino-style pastries, breads, rolls, and desserts, all looking fresh and tempting. I'm not Filipino, so I can't confidently name everything in the shop, but the variety alone is impressive. From soft breads to sweet treats, there's clearly something for every kind of carb lover. What really stands out is how affordable everything is. You can grab multiple items without feeling guilty about the price, which makes it easy to sample different things. The staff has also been friendly and patient, even when the line is long, which adds to the overall positive experience.

If you're ever in Waipahu, be sure to stop by Valerio's! They're located in Seafood City and to the right a little after you enter. They have a variety of baked goods from bread, pandesals, and desserts. I usually get their ube pandesals and I have to say, those things are dense (in a good way). You're not buying little pillowy air fluffs, but bread that will keep you decently full in the morning. I highly recommend cutting them in half, toasting them and adding butter..yum! They get pretty busy and the area is small, so be patient. Their fridge has a bunch of other desserts and I've been meaning to try them as they all look so good!

So many pastries to choose from at Valerios! Find Valerios within Seafood City Supermarket on Farrington Hwy in the Waipahu Town Center. As you enter the market, it's located to your right just past Jollibee's. You can't miss it as there's usually a line of customers waiting to order or to pay. For items in the showcase, take a number and you'll be called shortly to place your order. My first trip here was with foodies who made the trek to this beloved bakery after dining in town. If you love ube, Valerios is your kind of bakery. Alot of pastry "eye candy" that tempts you to buy everything in sight. Love the staff here, so polite; they address me with ma'am. Free parking is readily available. Go check it out! You will glad you did.

Just look at these choices. Need I say more? Personally, I go for the Balintawak. But everything's so good.

So good! First time at Valerio's and I'm hooked! I tried the Ube Cream Cheese Pandesal I think and wow! It's soft, rich and full of flavor. It kind of reminds me of the pork bun from 85°C Bakery but this one has no pork. Just yummy ube and cream cheese. So good, I wanted more!:)) The staff were super nice and friendly just like their sweet breads. I'm really happy I found this bakery on the island. There are still a lot of things I want to try, so I'll definitely come back. If you love fresh baked goodies this place is a must-try!

I just want to tell them that the pande coco is too sweet. I bought it before and the sweetness was just right. I couldn't return it because that's the only thing that I will do. It cost $6.30. Hopefully the owner will let the baker do it right. Attached here is the proof of purchased. But still I recommended the Valerio's . Date purchased 4/7/26

Inside of Seafood City in the Waipahu Town Center. The second time that I've patronized Valerio's. Plenty of parking and busy as Starbucks has a drive thru directly across, fronting Farrington Highway. Good pricing and they have a ot of Ube filled/glazed pastries. I tried a newer item: Ube Buko ( I think I recalled that correctly ) Empanada. The ube and coconut filling were very good inside of the crisp outer pastry shell. Small bakery on the same side that Jollibee's is situated. A small dining area with public restrooms are in the right corner.

I think I found my new bakery to stop at before parties or treats for the office. I am a little late to the party but for you guys that are late too you have to try it. I don't know the names of everything in the picture but they were all delicious. The ube pastries they have are popular and I heard people grabbing the breads they have on the side counting up all the ones that they were getting for themselves and family members. Next time I'm going to look at their breads too. The prices for the pastries were all under $2, which I haven't seen anywhere else lately. They are located in the Seafood City just to the right of the entrance. I will be back soon I hope you guys give them a try too. You'll have to take a number but all of their staff seem to be fast so you don't wait too long.

We love Valerio's. My 'go to' for pandesal (love their mini size) and snacks (ham & cheese bun, chicken puff pie). Always so much to choose from and priced right. I always buy a bag of pandesal for each of my coworkers during the holidays... they love it & look forward to it every year. Fav so far are the Cheese pandesal, Ube pandesal and Bonete rolls. They're busy and always coming out with new goodies. So, when you get to Valerio's, grab a number & explore through the packaged aisle and dessert display for your next favorite treat.

I went there for the famous Ube cheese pandesal, and I forgot to take a picture before eating! LOL. It was sooo good, sweet and salty and creamy ubelicious! Besides ube cheese pandesal, they have yummy chicken empanadas and other pasties that's a must have and try. This place always have a line so make sure to grab a ticket before getting excited and loose a turn. The cashier with me was friendly but the cashier to the left was a bit in a hurry so it looks like the customers are being rushed to decide what else to buy. My request is that they open a location in town somewhere so that I won't have to drive 30 minutes or so to buy their delicious pastries. It's good but not good enough for me to visit them and drive that far. The other recommendations would be to clean the area so it'll look bigger and nice to look at. I see lots of boxes around.

I first tried Toto's Special ube cheese pan de sal 5 years ago while visiting Oahu, and it is still the best ube pan de sal I've had. I've tried dozens of different ube pan de sals in the mainland and nothing comes close. I've even tried baking my own and failed miserably. This is my must-get treat whenever I visit Oahu! The other baked goods are tasty, too, but the Toto's Special is worth more than 5 stars.

ooh... omg.. Wow! What a surprise to see the glass display with DONUTS!, Run don't walk to Valerios's. hehe. Since when did they have donuts?! per cashier about 2 months ago. I made a stop for ube bread and ended up getting a few donuts, then came back the next week to grab more to share with my coworkers. Valerio's Tropical Bakeshop located in Seafood City on your right next to Jolliebee. Thank goodness for this bakeshop, got all of my favorite Filipino goodies. I try to avoid coming here but its so hard to. My weakness and now that they have donuts, its even more hard to avoid. Lets talk about the donuts, its not just your typical glazed donuts. Its fancy kine donuts, cannoli, twix, tiramisu, chocolate haupia, strawberry cheesecake, black forest, smores, leche flan, banana, and are you ready for this, ultimate Ube Halaya Donut!! I couldn't resist, got me myself the twix donut and ube. This Sunday, will is my Cheat day hehe!! I couldn't wait and ate the twix donut after our lunch, since twix is my favorite candy bar. The donut has twix flavored frosting and a small piece of twix on top. Later that night after dinner, I half ube donut with my other half. My son claimed both Ube donuts, he loved it too! The verdict, Omg that was some good Ube donuts. The donuts are actually really good , the ube donut has ube cream in the middle topped with ube pillows and more ube on the top. I would have to say Ube is my favorite my favorite! During my 2nd visit out to Valerios for more donuts, I called my son to ask if he wanted to try other flavors but he chose the ube again. Ube wins! Not sure if the special donuts are availabe for a limited time, I hope not. I will be back for more sooon. Be sure to pull a number first thing, while waiting grab all the items you need and decide on what goods to get before your number is called.

Most of those in the central area will know about the OG Valerios in Seafood City Waipahu. How they manage to bake some of the best breads and sweets while only charging what they charge if beyond me. Their Banana Langka Napple... $2.50! Zippys Napple...$4.35 (and Zippys is 10x their size, so shouldn't it be cheaper there!?). Most of their pastries in the case are not more than $3.00 with the average cost being around $1.75. I spent $18 on the entire box in my pic and you could feel how warm the Ube Cheese Pandesal was! If you want boring ass "specials" that makes you second guess if you should buy the apple napple or put gas in your car instead, go to Zippys. If you want to have freshly made pastries that won't break the bank, GO TO VALERIOS! And do yourself a favor and get the Ube Cheese Pandesal!

The ube cheesy mamon is too salty, maybe reduce the cheese topping and the mamon is too dry. I'm disappointed with this new item.

Ask the Community - Valerio's Tropical Bakeshop

How many days can ube cheese pandesal be kept in the room temperature?

Don’t leave it at room temperature refrigerate after buying fresh. Warm them in the microwave for 10-15 seconds or so.

Is there a way I can get 80 pcs of the ubae cheese pandesal before the store open like 5:00am?

I think you could ask them and prepay but usually they don't take pre orders. It's pretty pricey too.

Do they take large orders for parties?

Yes they do but you have to let them know exact quantity and plenty of advancement

The first thing I must say is that the bread is soft, not too sweet and good. The cream in the coconut bread is light, fluffy, not overly sweet and the whole thing together was a rather positive experience. I had a few words with the lady behind the counter and she said that they're super busy morning time. Of course, without zippys next door, they got all the baked goods business.
