First, this is on base, so you do need base access, but you do not need to have military ID to make a purchase here. Now that the Trusted Traveler program has been reinstated as Honolulu moves into Tier 3, that can make it a little easier for non-military folks to get here if someone can sponsor you in the gate. This place is a more upscale alternative to the kinds of things you might find at the Stadium Swap Meet, ABC Stores, or similar. Great for gifts and home decor, similar to Soha Living. Not quite everything is locally made, but a significant proportion is. They carry a lot of my favorites - Nick Kuchar prints, Coco Moon for baby gifts, Bradley & Lily cards and notebooks, Pura Vida. The prices are what you'd pay anywhere else, and the money goes to support military-affiliated charities. They have some clothing, keiki stuff, holiday decor, jewelry, jams and jellies, kitchen/bar items, gifts. Hours are mostly mornings (9-1 many days), but they are also open Saturdays. They do close during Christmas/New Years, so keep that in mind if you need gifts. Parking is available right out front, and it's never been crowded when I've come.

I knew I needed the attachments and other items to make this lei bag charm. I went to AMA's Dream Shop and I immediately went to Jolene for help. She is amazing! Maybe that's what the AMA stands for?!? She showed me what I needed and went beyond helping me! Jolene literally showed me how to use a crimp bead and how to use the cable wire instead of the plastic string that held the beads together. The service here and attention to the customer is beyond a five star rating. She talked about options and I was floored. I tried hard to remember all the details and knowledge she gave me! Well, I tried my first one and it came out great thanks to Jolene! I'll keep trying! Hopefully, my skills will improve. Just love that Workshop 28 has found a home in Pearlridge Center Mauka side on the second floor which is in the spot formerly occupied by Express so you know that it a lovely and spacious shop. The layout is quite spacious so it's so easy to browse the various merchandise they have which is quite a lot and I'm just so impressed with how creative each various items are. Known for the fun coasters that has makes a great gift to pair of any item, the hats that has built in Mickey ears are just so fun and entertaining but the luggage strap that has the built in TSA lock is super cute and makes searching for your bags easier and secure as well. Pink Box and N.Cat do share the same business as you see the sign on this store as well but it was nice to visit here as they do have slightly different merchandise from the other Kaneohe and Ala Moana location and with lots of free parking making it an easy stop to shop for various reasons...lol! They got great deals to bundle for multiple item purchases so if you're grabbing one for you grab one for someone and the service is very helpful if you're looking for a particular character or item. Been a few years and many miles but they're still the number one florist on Oahu for me. It's staggering the amount of flowers, leis, haku, etc are offered here. Needed some fresh flowers for someone's birthday and I didn't want to play "roses roulette" with the typical less-than-stellar selection at the...ah... neighborhood grocery stores' inventory which is very convenient, but comes at the expense of quality. Ms Emma at Watanabe was absolutely brilliant, kind, patient and helpful with my questions. She engineered a most lovely arrangement complete with 2-dozen South American long stems, baby's breath, and St John's Wort flowers! Not only did they look amazing the day of the event but a week later they were still intact and blossoming slowly. Most other florists the petals start to fall on day 2 or 3. Will be back.
