He was knowledgeable about the entire pineapple-growing process. Not to mention made us laugh We learned so much about how pineapples are planted, grown, and harvested. It was fascinating to hear about the life cycle of a pineapple, the care that goes into growing them, and what makes Maui Gold pineapples so unique and sweet. Of course, the star of the show was the pineapple itself. It was hands down the sweetest, juiciest, and most delicious pineapple I've ever tasted. After trying one, it's hard to go back to grocery store pineapple! The gift shop was also wonderful, with lots of cute souvenirs, gifts, and pineapple-themed items to browse. Road to Hana is a unique experience that involves driving down a long road (most likely from the…read morenorth side of Maui) down to the town of Hana. Along the way there are a variety of attractions like lush rainforests, waterfalls, hiking areas, and beaches. There are many so you'll have to do your research to find the ones you want to stop at. You will usually drive down the road, stop briefly for the attractions, then get back on the road to the next one. There were many windy and narrow roads and the driving isn't for the faint of heart. Some of the bridges are one lane so you'll have to constantly keep an eye out for cars around corners. I personally wouldn't drive at night and you really have to ensure you don't veer onto the other lane. Driving at slow speeds is a must and requires a lot of concentration. One of the other notable attractions that the road has to offer are the plentiful banana bread shops. We went to Aunty Sandy's Banana Bread which was delicious. It was pretty cool and I'm glad I got to check it out but I wouldn't do it again.

We could not have had a group that meshed BETTER than all of us. Our guide Henry clearly knew "the good spots" because we didn't stop anywhere that anyone else was... he made us climb down treacherous "root ladders" and walk through the coldest water up to our necks but his ideas were always SO worth it. We paid and drove in and parked. There was no problem finding a spot. There wasn't a whole lot to see as far as the lavender growing or blooming, but we enjoyed what was available. We stopped in the market store and bought some organic lavender tea, brownies, and candy. I bought a sticker and my DIL also bought a couple of things to bring home for friends. There is seating with umbrellas which we enjoyed. It was another beautiful day in Maui. After the grandkids were finished, we went out to the large field. The adults enjoyed sitting in the grass and kiddos enjoyed rolling around in the soft grass.

We would absolutely do it again. They even have a photographer, so we ended up buying a picture from them (although $40 seems a little overpriced for one photo). Captain Riley explained much of what the islands in the past (before Captain Cook) and to today. The boat (Trilogy VI) was brand new and beautiful. When we arrived on Lana'i we went to a beautiful white sand beach with great snorkeling, and a hike to see some amazing views. The food...! It almost never stopped with breakfast, a big and delicious lunch. Got back on the boat and saw dolphins, flying fish, and other tropical sea life. The crew were amazing from start to finish. Friendly, helpful, and great crew members. The photographer was friendly and knowledgeable about the best shots. They provide the photos electronically via a very reasonable $85 (nice as a keep sake of the photos of the two of us that the photographer placed us in.) Cannot recommend Trilogy enough. They've been around since 1973 and really have it figured out. Our 18 year old son loved it too. It's great for any age.

I took my parents for their 44th Anniversary and we all love outdoorsy activities so I knew we'd all enjoy this! We were asked to arrive at 10:30 am for the tour and it lasted until 1-1:30 pm. Arrive with good walking shoes, SPF, light sweater and hat (it can get either a little chilly or hot from the direct sunlight), and well hydrated if possible. We were greeted by our friendly and knowledgeable tourguide, Kate from Maryland! She shared with us so many facts about the locally grown produce from herbs, vegetables, fruits, to the friendly worms, to compost and facts about the Farm and the hardworking staff! It was interactive because we got to sniff the herbs, taste the locally grown lettuce, carry a chicken (as seen in the photo with my mom), and even pick the Cherry coffee! After the 2 hour tour, the last hour takes you back to this beautiful seating area in a garden like setting for your 4 course lunch! Each course, the chef comes out and shares details of each course. First course was a Medley of Greens grown on the farm with Tangerine vinaigrette. It was a generous portion for our party of 3 and tried to eat it throughout. There was spiraled carrots and radish with julienned snap peas. Second course was Pan Seared Ono (their proteins are all locally sourced) with Mamaki Tea and Lemongrass Rice with Bok Choy, Collared Greens and Cabbage. Third course was my favorite! I'm usually a big fan of fish but the chicken was so savory and that rub was delish! It was an Organic, Cage Free Chicken with Coffee Cherry Citrus rub with Caramelized Coffee Honey Hash of Carrots, Parsnips, Rutabaga and Celery Root. The spread was a Turmeric and Parsnip puree. Last course of dessert was the O'o Freshly Brewed Coffee with Milk and Simple Syrup with a Dessert Platter of Fresh sliced Pineapple, Tangerine and Apple with Homemade Chocolate Truffles. Brian was just soo fun, and soo informative. He balanced all our interests absolutely wonderfully, it was just amazing. The kid was thrilled with the his dino costume (Oh my god! the costume, he wore it on the Entire trip except when jumping off the rocks ofcourse), the adult in the other group with all the geological tectonics knowledge that flowed like an uninterrupted volcano from his mouth...non stop, and me with all the native plant life info. The Hala tree amazed me and so did the big red flower- torch ginger, which actually looks like a vibrant staff fit for a king. I would never have learnt about them in detail if not for this trip. All this besides the actual trip to the waterfalls, the encouragement he gave to the other group was astounding (I don't swim myself unfortunately, or the fun would have tripled for me). He supported, guided, advised, and made them have the time of their life with the diving and the swimming. Three cheers to the B.Rex. Hike Maui site itself had useful info for the walk and I brought the water shoes after reading about it on their site, it really worked great out there. Pick up was right on time and the directions were pretty clear, but u could have mentioned near Kahului Park and Ride, I mistook the 8 min drive for 8 min walk, and walked up from my hotel ! Hike Maui arranged for backpacks and that was very useful too. To just it throw it on our shoulders and walk freely. The little snacks were good after the walk. The best part was the passion fruit which was handed out as a parting gift. It was my first time to eat that fruit too. Note: The waterfalls are accessible privately with rental car too. You could explore the area in your own sweet time. But I did notice there were not many signs with specific directions inside the forest. And no labels on the plants. Most places no mobile signals either. That said, you could do it on your own. I cannot say enough about this trip. It is for all ages and a great little Maui to explore comfortably. We had read many people saying rent a car and drive yourself using the app, to that I say not a good idea. My wife and I were both able to enjoy all of the views and all of the sites that were pointed out to us by our amazing driver/guide/new friend Patrick! If you're driving yourself, you're missing out. From the moment we booked this the owner, Dana, was exceptional in her communication and assistance in making sure this was the right tour for us. Patrick did an excellent job of taking care of us customizing our tour and making sure we saw everything we wishes to see and things that we never would've dreamed of seeing! In the past, I've had some challenges with motion sickness and had mentioned this to Dana, and upon arrival, Patrick had actually set up so that I could ride in the front seat if I was worried about the motion sickness issue. While I decided to ride in the back with my wife, it was a very thoughtful way to begin our day. There are too many stops to call them all out, but one that really will be remembered is when Patrick took us to be up close to Rainbow Eucalyptus Trees and picked us fresh strawberry guava's, that we had never had before, but they were wonderful. Patrick also provided some insight for stops that we would've never thought of such as Uncle Russell's Legendary Huli Huli Chicken for an awesome lunch and for amazing Dark Chocolate at the all organic self sustainable cacao farm East Maui Chocolate. Sampling cocoa, roadside stand with amazing banana bread and coffee, black and red sand beaches with a swim in the ocean, and swimming at the base of a waterfall. The stops we made were not overcrowded with large tour groups. While the road is very curvy, Jackie's drove so well not one of us was car sick (and two of us easily get motion sickness). Towels, snacks, bandaids, drinks were all provided. A well planned, comfortable trip. Truly an amazing experience. If you are visiting Maui, this is a must do tour.

We had visited once before back in 2012 and remembered it being a great experience, and it's nice to see how much the farm has upgraded since then. They offer goat and cheese tours that you can sign up for online. This time, we just wandered around the grounds and relaxed while watching the goats and baby kids play in their pen. We also bought a $10 bucket of hay to feed the goats off to the side. We were told they were under a year old, though they were already pretty much adult-sized! They were extremely enthusiastic about the hay, and the bucket was gone in no time. It was such a fun and wholesome experience, for both me and the goats. Definitely a cute stop, and I hope to come back next time and sign up for one of the tours next time in Maui.

We didn't reserve a tour ahead of time, and the next one was not for over an hour, so we decided to just walk around the grounds on our own. We started with the cheese tasting. They offer 2 different options, and we chose the mixed. Between 2 of us, it was plenty. I would say even 3 people could share. We enjoyed most of the cheeses - a few were definitely unique. They have a patio area to sit at, and they just call your name when your tasting is ready. They give you information with the cheeses, so you know what you are trying. The shop had a nice assortment of other gifts, as well as the truffles. The truffles were definitely my favorite. You can just get one if you want, or you can pick out several to make a box to take home. We walked around and saw the area where the babies/young goats played on the surfboards, which is super cute. The adults are all over in different areas, and you will even see them on the roofs of different buildings. The tour would have been nice to learn some history and information, but it is still really nice to go without the tour. It was a fun and peaceful little experience.
