They did not install the correct size return vent so our heater kept overheating. It would cycle on and off every few minutes and say it was heating when no air was moving. We literally had them come out 4 times before they found out what the issue one. The first 3 times they gaslit us and said that is was our Nest or a draft in an interior wall... I think they have only one good employee because the 4th guy to show up told us he liked to get paid for his overtime and would stick around until he got to the cause of the problem. Also when they finally "fixed" the return vent to a proper sized, they botched the install and had cracks in the ceiling and random screws sticking out in places. So they had to come back again to fix that mistake.

Let's just say that no wipe is flushable. We just had to convince our 2 year old granddaughter of that! I was hoping to just get it serviced, but because of the age and the freon it used, I was informed that they no longer carry that freon due to it was no longer produced and that I might find a company that has it. Found one that was able to give me 2 more years and very much appreciated the honesty the A COOL AIR gave. November 2025 it was time to change it out. Made the appointment, received the estimate after inspection, was informed of the rebates both for SMUD as well as Federal Tax Credits and gave the go ahead. They had it installed in 2 days' time, and let me tell you, this new system? Makes me come to terms that I never really had a real one to begin with!!! I was given options to which one would work best for my unit (I live in a condo) and wasn't swayed one way or the other. Chose one, and I am SO THANKFUL I did! These few days in the 90's so far have given comfortable and cool air throughout my home and including my bedroom which never cooled off or heated up to the rest of the house. The installation was good but... 1. A remote control was placed between a light switch and the door. You need to turn on the light before you use the remote, preferably w/o scraping your knuckles. 2. A pile of trash was left behind. I forgave that since the three men worked hard for more than 8 hours. 3. After they did wiring in my attic, insulation started falling through the kitchen ceiling vent. I pointed it out and the installer vacuumed the vent from below. I said it would be better to blow it, but he said it would be fine. It continues to fall down thru the vent. 4. Old HVAC vents were blocked to keep the warm air in and cold air out, but they left a big one in the old HVAC closet. Also, they capped the gas pipe inside the closet, so there are two holes to the outside. I could have made the closet look finished if they had capped the pipe below the house. 5. The way they inserted the cable ducts through the foundation air vent was poor. Rodents can now enter. 6. Poor oversight and communication. I wanted easy things corrected that would take 20min. "Mark" promised someone would get back to me...they never did. I called/texted about 5 times. Finally he stopped responding. UPDATE: The Yelp review prompted a call from Mark. He asked the foreman Zach to call me and address the problems. Zach called, said someone was in my area and would be by within 30 min. No one showed. No one called or texted. I will take a start off for poor oversight.

My appointment was from 12:00 to 3:00pm and Angel actually came early. He was extremely thorough by checking out our heating system and AC system. He found a few issues and recommended changing out some failing parts which I agreed to. The Freon in both AC units was very low and he charged it back up to normal. Wow! What a difference! While the other guys told me why so many things wouldn't work, Alix the Greiner sales guy, whipped out his measuring tape and started to think of possibilities. Then he brought over Greiner's most senior team members to come up with a game plan. They took out a huge obstacle blocking access to the units that took half a day and all were not only polite, but cheerful. You could feel the great managers of the company through their workers. I was and am blown away by the company's performance and reasonable pricing. Think of a word that is better than "excellent" and you are describing Greiner. Hire them.

They sent Thomas out to take a look, he was very up front about the condition of the unit and advised that there was alot of issues, which we totally get.
