We came here with another couple to see a Fleetwood Mac tribute band. Neither couple heard of this restaurant but said let's find it and see what both the band and restaurant is like. Each couple bought seats separately and the man who looked up our reservations was able to put two small tables together so we could sit together. All tables were near the band with chairs facing the stage, which was really nice. Three chicken dishes and one salmon dish was ordered and we all really enjoyed our meals. Arley is an excellent server. She appeared to have a few tables around the restaurant but kept coming back to make sure all was good, if we needed anything else and getting our water and sodas refilled (for some reason none of us had any alcohol. The dinners we ordered, chicken and salmon, were delicious. The two members of the band representing Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks were excellent singing both their and Fleetwood Mac songs. There are many of these "candlelight" dinners on the Fever app with tributes to lots of artists from the Beatles, Elvis, Rod Stewart and more. We went on Friday to this dinner concert to see the Led Zeppelin cover band Led Zepheadz. You have to order a meal which includes a table next to the band. We ordered the taco plate which was the least expensive meal, no BBQ on this dinner menu. The band played on time as scheduled at 7pm sharp. They offer beer on tap and other mixed drinks at an additional cost. The venue was perfect and we really enjoyed the evening listening to some great music. Overall it was good, but not worth the price for the amount of meat you get. The Esquite was okay, nothing really special about it. I wish it came on a cob rather than a bowl. I didn't really taste much of the seasoning on the corn which is unfortunate, it could definitely use more of everything. That being said, the corn was crunchy and not soggy which is a plus. Overall I wouldn't recommend this unless you really want corn for some reason, it's pretty basic. The Cowboy Meatballs were good for a bbq place, if you're sharing between two people I would recommend this. They are a good size with a good amount of sauce and flavor. The garlic knot in between was very good as well. Overall it was a good plate, just on the pricey side for frozen meatballs but you're in old town so that's to be expected, I'd order this again. I was the only one in the entire restaurant when I came so take my note for service and ambiance with a grain of salt. I also ordered not really bbq specialty items, so when I return I will order that and hopefully give a better review/score. Although friendly, I wasn't truly impressed with the service and the food was just ok, so I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt. One of my friends said the wings weren't that great and he didn't like the greens. But my other friend liked the greens. I can't comment. We visited on Valentine's Day, hoping for a special and memorable evening. The live band created a fun, lively atmosphere, and we were excited to celebrate there. Unfortunately, we were surprised by a few unexpected charges. We later realized we were billed for hot water, which was never mentioned by our server. In all our dining experiences, we've never been charged for hot water before, so this was confusing. Additionally, an automatic 18% gratuity was added to the bill without any prior notice. While we understand that some restaurants add gratuity on holidays, clearer communication would have made a big difference. We went in feeling happy and excited, but left feeling a bit disappointed. Worst customer service I've experienced ever. Unfortunately, I can't comment on the food because I never got the chance to order, not even a glass of water. We were a party of two, seated in a nearly empty restaurant with about 20 open tables, and waited over 20 minutes without anyone acknowledging us. Meanwhile, a party of three was seated next to us after we arrived, and their drink order was taken almost immediately while we continued to be completely ignored. After waiting more than 20 minutes, we got up and left. I understand restaurants get busy, but that clearly wasn't the case. A simple greeting, an update, or even water would have gone a long way. I had been looking forward to trying this place, but I'll be taking my business elsewhere. The food was okay, but unfortunately the service was very disappointing. Our server, Areli, was extremely slow and never brought us water or drink refills throughout our meal. She messed up our order, we received something completely different from what we had ordered. When we politely let her know about the mistake, she seemed very annoyed instead of trying to make it right. The entire time, she never checked on our table to see if we needed anything. We came to enjoy the show, but it was hard to fully enjoy the experience because we were waiting on drinks and couldn't even get refills. On top of that, no one ever cleared our table, so we had to sit through the entire show with dirty dishes in front of us. We had such a fun Saturday night out with friends visiting from out of town! We arrived around 6:30pm to check in for the live dinner show--an Elvis tribute performance that kicked off at 7pm. The show ran from 7 to 9pm, with a short 15-minute break between sets. The performer was fantastic, covering all the classic Elvis hits. We even got up and danced a little--it was hard not to! As for the food, it was just as impressive. Generous portions and everything was absolutely delicious. We shared bites of brisket, baby back ribs, and pulled pork, and couldn't get enough of the sides--especially the cole slaw, potato salad, and cornbread. It is my first time at Hawg Heaven. I was greeted as soon as I walked in with a smile and hello. It was Friday at 5pm. I wanted to try the 12 hour smoked Beef Brisket. So, I ordered that with sides of BBQ beans and collard greens. The TVs weee on basketball and baseball. It's October so the place is decorated up for Halloween. The Brisket is very tender and pulls apart with the fork. I love the mild Smokey BBQ sauce on them. The BBQ beans were in a similar mild BBQ sauce and were cooked like I like them to still be firm on the out side. The collard greens were great. Cooked how I like them fully cooked but still firm. I am an east coast guy so they brought vinegar for me to sprinkle over them. It was a delicious meal and one of I loved in Pasadena I would be back for regularly. read more

Even though we were the ONLY diners in there (something that would normally concern me, but in the post-Covid days, we were thrilled to have the place to ourselves), it turns out the food was quite good !! My husband ordered a brisket plate, while I ordered their BBQ chicken sandwich. My sandwich came with the BBQ chicken that was smothered in a tangy, but slightly sweet BBQ sauce (how I like it), red onion, tomato, garlic aioli, jack cheese, and I ordered French fries as my side. Everything was delicious. The chicken was tender and flavorful, and the fries were nicely seasoned. My husband loved the brisket and the baked beans. He said it was very tender, and both the beans and brisket had really good flavor. Our waiter, Eric, was very nice and made good recommendations. Hawg Heaven was a real good find... even if we weren't initially looking for it. Oh, there is one thing I would fix. I went into the ladies bathroom and was horrified to see how filthy the bathroom stalls were. They are that shiny metal, and so, all filth shows up really easily. Somebody needs to take a bottle of Windex or ammonia and clean that stuff off. Jeeez. The sink and toilets were clean, but those stall walls need(ed) some major help. Ewwww. read more

We recently worked with the events team to organize our Pasadena High School Reunion, and they exceeded our expectations. Although I didn't have the final RSVP count, the venue comfortably accommodates up to 400 guests, providing plenty of room for everyone. They were incredibly flexible, allowing our DJ to seamlessly plug in and play all the 90's hits, which brought a fun, nostalgic energy to the night. The food and drinks were on point, and the staff was friendly and attentive throughout the event--a special shoutout to Edgar and Eddie for their exceptional service. And the kicker is, they presented us with a bill at the end of the night that charged us gratuity (which was fine) but also tax on everything. When you buy concert tickets, you don't get charged for tax on your way out of the venue. We already felt like we were getting ripped off. Please don't go here and waste your money. read more
