Pulled over & got out to order. There are many "ad" signs for business in the bus windows, but a couple of the bus windows are actually menu items. There were about a half doz options - a gyro, a cheesesteak, etc. I asked how the cheesesteak was & said "I'm from Philly, don't let me down!" and asked if the green peppers can be separated from the onions. He suggested why don't I try the "Johhny's Italian Dip" and I said OK! I got it with the provolone and he asked if I like gardineira and I said yes, whatever you recommend so he said "F#@k yeah!" and that's what we went with. I get the feeling the owner is quite a character! It came in a really sturdy box, which was great. I took it back to my car to eat. I went around the corner to the gas station and got a huge soda for $.99 and didn't wait to get home sat in their parking lot and ate. It was delicious. Messy and the bread was fairly soggy (esp with the au jus), but it was really really tasty. The gardineira kept my tongue tingling as well. The only thing that stinks is it was a sandwich only -- and not huge -- for $12 (plus tax plus a $1 credit card fee, + $1 tip), so it came to $15 and really I could have eaten 2 of them. But it was so tasty it was worth the experience, just not sure I would do it again with other options (as that is a fairly pricy sandwich for my budget). I chose Drop It Like It's Tot because i love tots and its menu intrigued me. All their dishes have tater tots as the base of the bowl/meal. Several of the menu items really called out to me, but alas I could only eat one, so I chose "the hangover". The hangover has at its base the tots, and it is topped with scrambled eggs, ground sausage, country gravy, colby jack cheese and bacon. I ordered it and I had the food in what felt like a few minutes. When i got it i thought... holy cow this is huge. Take a look at the pics for the dish. I felt it was a bit too much cheese, but man when I started to eat it, I could not argue with the flavor! It was an incredibly hearty meal, and delicious to boot! Loved the meal! They typically have a line, which speaks to how great the food is! You are always greeted with a smile and they are able to get you your food in a jiffy. A few of my favorites from the menu include the catfish po'boy and the jambalaya. The food is always fresh and has great flavor.
