Sometimes there will be 20+ dogs and other times we will be the only ones here. There is a small dog side and a big dog side separated by a fence. The park on the big dog side is definitely muddy so be prepared for a mess in your car and on your dog(s). There is a large walking trail around the park both inside and outside the fence so whether your dog is roaming or on a leash you can enjoy some nice exercise.

Glad to have such a big area to let our girl go off leash. There's only two spots to sit so if that's something you're looking for this isn't a good spot. People are respectful for the most part and pay attention to their dogs. We love it and go just about every weekend!

    The large dog side.

Not a fan. While the park is huge, there's no shade, and only one table to sit at for the humans. Small dog side has some trees.

Love this dog park so much for my dogs. The water bowls are not that great but my pups love how much room they have to run. It's a pretty clean park and it's about 2 acres or more. I love that it's in a nice location and I don't have to worry about my dogs getting out. My son loves running around and meeting new dogs. The location is convenient to the shops around and if your dog is picky bring your own dog bowl for water. We have to bring collapsing water bowls for our dogs. When we leave our dogs are good and tired.

It's big! Plenty of dogs, water & toys! I come here often and find the dogs & owners to be well-behaved and sociable. There are large and small dog sections. Inside are 2 water hoses with bowls and 1 hose outside the entrance (presumably to hose dirt off your pup?). The only design flaw is the lack of trees for shade. Young trees were recently planted, so in 10 years we'll have shade! Lol. There are 2 picnic benches for the humans, which is enough, because who comes here to sit down? Most of us remember to pick up our dog poop with the several dog poop bag dispensers. Reportedly, the park gets real muddy during the rainy season, so I'll wait & see if its true. Did you hear that it's big..,Like 5 acres?

I'm so glad there is a dog park in Lacey! I've been going to this dog park since it's opened. Fist on the big dog side with my Border Collie (who has since passed). She loved the open area. I go on the small dog side now because I have to small dogs. I wish the area was bigger and had trees for shade.. My dog loves the dog park. He is very dog social and likes making new friends. I wish the rules were also inside the park so people sitting on the benches could read them. I have told people food is not allowed in the park, no smoking allowed in the park, your puppy is too young to be in the park.

DO NOT DRINK WATER! obviously not safe for dogs either!!

This is a great off the leash park. Coming from Utah this park is huge in comparison to other parks I've taken my dog to.

Not enough shade for the hot days. Other than that there's lots of space to run and a couple water stations for the dog's.

Great place to take a dog. Plenty of space. I haven't had any issues with other dogs' aggressiveness.

My dog loves this place, but I don't want him to end up getting fleas. A cleaner park would be better.

The grass was still dewy and wet although it was like 4 o'clock in the afternoon. My dogs didn't like that so much (highfalutin dogs!!), but after a while they got over it as they saw I was not going to put them back in the car until they made an attempt to run around. Someone from before left some dog toys in the park so I used a ball tosser and surprisingly they went after it, which they don't do when we are at home. Usually they like me to wait on them hand & foot (what a dog owner does sometimes, right?) There was a frisbee on the ground and a squeaky football which they were uninterested in. The park is fenced and double gated so you don't let stray dogs in or out. Although, the fence is kind of short so I'm sure medium to large dogs could just jump over the fence. The last review said no doo bags but there is a station with bags and a small trash receptacle. I couldn't check it since there was no cell signal for me. Cell signal was kind of sparse depending on where you're at on the island

When I arrived there were no dogs, but I figured my pup could sniff around as a part begal likes to do. Anyway, a nice lady stopped by with her three large dogs, and my pup had a great time running after one, and being chased around. I will go again, when I go to my parents place in the future.

Sophie, our 3 year old doggie, loved zooming through the woodsy areas and just had a great time. We met up with 3 or 4 others, with their dogs well behaved and social as well. It can get a bit muddy as expected, so just be ready to clean off paws later. We had Sophie wear a little windbreaker light jacket, as once you get in to the woods more deeply it does get chilly. There was a muddy creek, but small, and hear a fun little 'bridge' to go over. Not much for squirrels or chipmunks, but we walked around the perimeter and it was well fenced in. There was also a smaller fenced in area, as you entered the main entrance I think, there are several entry ways, for small doggies. Google the directions and then verify. The first google maps took us way out of the way from a Gig Harbor start point, so we think that the address may not be completely accurate on google maps. Once there we parked in a nearby business lot, and walked over to a secured entry. It had 2 gates to go through, both secured and nice, esp for excited pets. We brought along our usual, poo bags, treats to practice recall skills, water bottle, and travel dish. You can spend up to 1-2 hours walking about and meandering through the little internal off trails. The trails are easy around the perimeter, and then more hilly and rustic in the interior towards the little creek.

Open during Covid!…read more Honestly besides not living in gig harbor it's my only complaint I have to pay $6 to cross the bridge. But it was worth it! I honestly loved this dog park it was a little tricky to find for me signs aren't that noticeable. Besides that there's no parking you kinda have to park on the side of the road. You hike up this hill to get to the dog area. It's all nature and they also have down below an area for the dogs to just run and play together! Stella absolutely had a blast also if you scared of snakes beware their there. Also they have water so if you like to bring a gallon and leave it do so! Help the dog park out don't be selfish.
