I regret ever signing up with Hawx Pest Control. They have been charging me $40 every month for a "12-month contract" that I was never made aware of. The representative I spoke with misrepresented the service and rushed me to sign something electronically without explaining it was a year-long commitment. I don't see any value in this service and I never knowingly agreed to be locked into a contract. When I asked about stopping the charges, I was told it was a contract -- but I have never received a clear copy of what I supposedly signed. It feels like they are the only ones who know the terms of this so-called agreement. I am requesting that Hawx cancel this contract immediately and stop charging me. Worst Company EVER!!! Its about the money...their treatments take 15 minutes, then they charge you 169.00 . And still bugs and spiders everwhere. I called to complain for the service and was transferred with this supervisor or manager named Monica Echevarria who was the worst manager ever. I tried to talk to her she screamed at me and said "tough luck if you did not like the service, I am going to cancel it and still charge you 199.00,,, while I was just trying to get someone over because I still had spiders and bugs in the front porch I told her I am not authorizing the 199.00 because I want the service, HAWX company went ahead and deducted from my account small amounts of $50., $30, $59. and so on until they deducted the 199. 00 They should be ashamed of themselves,,this was not authorized by me. Disaster company!! Don't get stuck with them! Disastrous customer service. Tried for three months to cancel my account, almost impossible to do this, wait times more than an hour, called twice but told to send in writing cancellation request, then emailed twice at which they told me i'd have to call and speak to representative, called four more times and the representative can't help you it has to be sent to a another department for even longer wait times. During all this was charged another monthly fee. When I called now, they put me on hold and came back to me and told me that since I had not called and only emailed them their request to cancel they would not refund the monthly fee. I asked to speak to the supervisor they said there was none , spoke to Rafael on 827 at 3 PM, no Customer Service ID or last name. The actual technicians that come to treat the yard or the house are good people BUT the company uses every excuse in the book to charge you for subpar service once every 3 months. They require to call everyone you need to schedule because their online portal never works. and they keep charging your credit card even when service has not been provide. you are better off just asking the bugs to not come to your house than using Hawx read more

About a year ago, a young man walked onto my property and talks me into using this company, Hawx. When my granddaughter discovered that I authorized Hawx for outside pesticide, she reminded me that I already have TruGreen doing that and more. I decided to keep it anyway. When the Hawx technician came to do the outside service the first time, he rang the doorbell but I was too slow getting to the door. He left no receipt. When he came the second time, I saw him on camera but he did not ring the doorbell nor notify me that he was on my property and he left no receipt as to what was done. That's about when I tried cancelling Hawx's services. I texted them several times. Whenever I called it was after hours and they do not give options to leave a message. I had my granddaughter to cancel but I kept getting bills. I hadn't seen anyone that I assumed was from Hawx on my property and they don't ring bells or leave receipts to prove that they were actually on the property. I received a bill yesterday from Hawx for $139.80. Today, I called and was on the phone for 26 minutes cancelling the services that I don't even know were done. I now owe $187.90. I feel bamboozled. With Trugreen, I receive a call the day before the technician arrives telling me what is going to be done, the tech rings my doorbell to notify me he is on the property, and that technician leaves me a receipt letting me know what he did. Just a PSA. There is a company called Hawx, which promises better prices and better service than Terminix for pest control and bugs. I would stay as far away from them as possible. I gave it a try because I pointed at a nest to the sales person and said, you could treat that? Even with it being that high? "Yeah, we have extension poles we use that can definitely handle that, how about Tuesday" They claim they will treat wasp and stinging bug nests. Tuesday came and a teenager was at my door like... "how do you expect me to reach that?" I informed him his sales team said they were equipped to do so. I called to cancel the service after since they couldn't actually do what there sales people promised. I was directed to a manager who asked me to give them another attempt. 2 more appointments and escalation with a Manager designating specific staff, and every single one disagreed with the sales guy and their own manager stating they were not equipped to treat a nest higher then arms length of the first floor. I called them and told them I needed to cancel the services because they were not able to complete the work as promised and were in breach of their contract. I verbally rescinded credit card authorization. They wanted to put me on hold to speak with a manager and while on hold they charged my credit card $200. It'll get fixed, but just wanted to give a friendly PSA.... avoid these jokers. They don't deserve your business. read more

Do not use this service!! We were lied to at point of sale, as we agreed to a monthly service charge of $60 and after getting confirmation that someone would come each month to service the home. We were lied to again when we were told someone would come into the house for service, it didn't happen. To my surprise, when I called in month 2 to see if someone was calling, I was told this is a quarterly service and the electronic contract read as much, but somehow, i was now reading a contract that showed checked boxes for quarterly visits. Well played asshole, but that is not what we discussed man to man, and I certainly would not have signed on those terms. I wrote to BBB and Hawx agreed to allow me to terminate but would not refund the $60 for the visit. Now, Hawx is still sending SMS and emails saying we have a balance on our account. Since sending, I have not heard from a representative regarding my designated refund or confirmation regarding the cancellation of service. Have attempted to call to finalize cancellation and cannot get in touch with an agent. Will update review once I can communicate with someone at Hawx. Updating my review as stated. Was finally able to speak with a representative who issued my refund as requested. Their customer service was prompt and efficient once I was able to get someone on the phone. They want me to pay them for bringing bugs into my home, absolutely not! I called to cancel services and they charged me $250 cancellation fee reoccurring. Had this fast talking woman call me as if that was going to change my mind and have a Manager to come into my home for a 3rd in a month to do services. Their state certified pest inspectors did a half assed job resulting in an inside presence of bugs and rodent droppings. I have never seen bugs , rodent droppings before and I am going back to my initial pest control. They have lost their minds- and they can't waive cancellation fees based off these issues. This company is the absolute WORST! They are back at it again with foolishness. After my very ugly fight with them previously for installing termite traps that I needed to ask for or need and then trying to charge me THOUSANDS to cancel, NOW they send me a bill for 120 dollars for services I have not even received. They said you pay monthly, but we don't come out unless you request....WTF kind of service is that? I have to call and ask you to come to provide a service you expect payment for monthly. Then I try to cancel altogether just because I'm so over them. I was still trying to work with them after the termite incident, but now I'm just over them. First, he tells me that I have a cancellation fee of $210.00, then comes back on the line and says oh, and your payments for August/September now come to $300 .....
