I had a large yellow jacket nest in the bushes outside of my front door. I saw all the great reviews, and decided to reach out to Pest Czar. I got a message back asking for pictures that I had stated in the quote request that I had. And sent them over. I got a call back from Jennifer attempting to get more info. She said that because she couldn't see the nest in my photos, she couldn't give me a quote. My choices were to either have their technician come out and risk paying upwards of 400.00 for the job, or find the nest myself (which was actually never an option for me personally) and send them a picture so they could give a estimate of a considerably lesser price. That's where our conversation left off, like she was dead serious... She thought it would be a reasonable idea to have me rummage through 3 bushes to find a yellow jacket nest in bushes swarming with yellow jackets. I was sitting on the line listening to her in disbelief like, huh? I then called another company, the guy came out for a free estimate, and then charged me 125.00 for about 10 minutes worth of work, and I haven't seen  yellow jacket in over a month. Recap: I just don't see how she couldn't just have someone come out and take a look. What if a snake had gotten into my home, would I have had to identify the species and sex for a technician to come out? Maybe find the entry point? It just seems as if finding a yellow jacket nest should be left up to experts, and not with the customer. read more

I have had Pest Czar help me with my pest needs for over the last year and have been extra satsfied with their customer service and attention to detail. This was my first time working with Tim and he did an awesome job. Incredibly helpful service - Jonathan was incredibly insightful and helped to educate us on how to continue having success keeping pests at bay. I happily set up a quarterly maintenance plan with Pest Czar to establish a routine where I knew I would stick to having periodic service. Things started out great with Pest Czar. I was told that I'd get a one-time service, with a two-week follow-up, followed by a one-month warranty. Warren came for the initial service in September, and was very helpful. He explored all of the potential problem areas inside and outside the house, and placed the bait and traps accordingly. He came back less than two weeks later as a follow-up, as we still saw evidence of mice. I was told that from that date that I would have a 30-day warranty. But when I contacted Pest Czar less than a month later (i.e., before my warranty was up), Emily (the new customer service rep) told me my warranty had already expired, and that extra service would incur additional cost. Even though I had contacted Pest Czar before the 30 days warranty was up. I was also informed that after November 13, Pest Czar would is no longer servicing DC. In short, things started great, but they didn't fulfill their promise for the 30-day warranty. And they didn't tell me when I initially inquired that their service in DC was about to end. Not a place I would look to again. But of course I can't, because now they don't service DC! read more

Brian is always cheerful and very informative. He walks around the entire house to check for any issues and addresses them immediately if found. When you are in a pest control crisis, Pest Czar treats you right. Megan who answered the phone was very nice and addressed my accomodations and scheduling needs. Their customer service skills are excellent from start to finish. Sasa the owner and technical expert came out the next day and did a free inspection based upon my concerns...He was very kind, patient, courteous and considerate of my time. I was emailed a proposal promptly the next morning with a plan of action with very reasonable pricing. I called their phone number but no one answered but they had my number on their caller id and so Megan called me back like 15 mins later. They are also very responsive to email. They were honest, did not overpromise but did promise to keep at my problem until it is resolved or if the problem worsened. Sasa did the service the next day after the proposal/plan was delivered. I was emailed the prep instructions before the treatment and all my subsequent questions regarding the prep was promptly answered. Sasa came on time and answered all my questions/addressed all my concerns before he started the service. Pet Czar uses mechanisms/technology to let you know what's going at all steps of the process which greatly eases one's anxiety in a anxiety ridden pest situation. you get an email when he's on his way and when he's here; you get an email when he's done and what he did and the chemicals he used with the prices clearly laid out and instructions on what to do to rid the pests and keep them away. We signed up for a service plan with them because dealing with them have been stellar; They take great care in proactively assisting you so that your home can be pest free even if you live in the city or next to a dirty neighbor. I live in a row home in Baltimore and unfortunately had some unwelcome guest due to dirty neighbors: Mice. I was unsure of the root cause before Pest Czar's arrival, so I started placing electrical traps throughout the problem areas of my house until they came. From the very beginning, the staff at Pest Czar were very cooperative, timely in response time, and affordable. I coordinated my service appointments with Erika and Megan and I must say that they were both very friendly and flexible with my schedule. I had separate service appointments performed by both Sasa and Tim for a total of 4 sessions. Sasa performed my initial inspection and my most recent appointment. Tim provided me with two follow-up appointments in between. Both were extremely knowledgeable about mice eradication and instead of just placing random traps throughout my entire house and dipping out, they were very thorough in finding the root cause which ended up being my neighbors. Tim sealed external trouble areas in front and behind my home, placed bait stations (poison) and traps in hard to reach crevices and area hotspot where activity had been noticed such as behind the stove and the basement area behind insulation. While placing the bait stations and traps, both Tim and Sasa took my dog, Pepper into consideration and went out of the way to place traps out of reach of my dog. I really appreciated that. I haven't seen any mice activity in over a month and I owe that to Pest Czar. I'm also doing my part as a responsible homeowner by keeping my place clean and keeping not only the traps Pest Czar set out, but I still have my own traps set as well for extra protection. I also have future quarterly service from this amazing company to look forward to later on. This company also offers a military/veteran discount. Sasa hooked me up once he found out I was a veteran. I honestly don't know how they have such good reviews. I scheduled an inspection for one of my family's properties and received a half-assed inspection. The representative that was sent was sitting outside in the work truck, saw me walk up the steps and into the door of the home-- didn't call or knock -- and almost drove off until I shouted that I was waiting for him. Guess he wanted to swindle me with their "no-show fee charge." When he parked again and came in, the inspection itself was more of a "look around" situation, there was no detailed investigation whatsoever. He didn't tell me anything definite, and continuously told me he would have to "get down there to inspect further" once I paid for a plan or services to really see what was going on. Doesn't this defeat the entire purpose of the complimentary inspection? At the end, the representative asked me did I receive their outlined service plan and detailed fees when I originally scheduled my appointment (via email). I told him no, I never received it. He told me that he would have someone from their office reach out to me the next day with the appropriate information so that services could be started if I wished. It's been A WEEK and I haven't heard anything. I guess this company is discriminatory and picks and chooses who they decide to help at their leisure.
