The place checks off all of the boxes. It's got the history being the oldest establishment on the block. It's hard to find a seat where you can't see the water whether in the dining room or out in the Gazebo/deck area. Go to the Gazebo, it's where happy hour is and the party too! The seafood is also the best in a very crowded scene that makes up Murrells Inlet. But it's not just the seafood that's great! Finally, service is the perfect blend of casual but professional. Their perfect combination of everything makes this my favorite establishment in SC north of Charleston.

Make sure you get a reservation to try this great seafood spot a little farther down in Murrells Inlet. A lot of good options from steam pots to sushi to the standard inlet fried options. Everything was delicious. One strike as some "local" craft beers are only available in cans.

Maaaaaan I love this place! I came last weekend and sat upstairs in the gazebo. Unfortunately, my favorite appetizer is no longer on the menu, the crab crostinis. Pleeeaaaase bring them back, they're the item I talk about the most on the menu! I tried 2 new items, the braised short ribs and the seared yellowfin tuna. I liked the tuna, but personally won't get it again. There are better fish options on the menu, like the sea bass or mahi mahi. The braised short ribs were PHENOMENOL. I love short ribs and I will definitely order this again. The sauce was perfect, the meat was tender, and the mashed potatoes were delicious as always. I'm glad I tried the new dishes and found one that I'll be reordering. Service was great, as usual. There was a hiccup in the food delivery, but the server owned up to the mistake and remedies the situation. To me. The way the hiccup was handled made me love this restaurant more and appreciate the service they deliver. My final thoughts, please bring back the crostinis!!

IYKYK! In case you don't.. Hot Fish Club was highly recommended by the locals and their recommendation was spot on!' The food was amazing and our server Jackson was the best. The vibe was great. Definitely will return to experience the vibe in warmer weather.

Hot Fish Club is one of my favorite places to go. We went and had reservations. I over heard one of the workers who said the outdoor spot was now centrally heated. We were led to our table by the hostess and a short time later the waitress came by to get our drink order. We ordered dinner after enjoying our cocktails for a bit. A special shrimp and curry dish for him and the stuffed lobster tails for me. Our dishes came with risotto and asparagus. Both were delicious. If you see me there, stop by and say hello.

Incredible restaurant in Murrel's inlet right on the water! It has a hole in the wall vibe on the outside, and an upscale feel on the inside. And both the food and the views are to die for! We came on a Friday night and it was quite busy. We didn't have a reservation but were able to get a table in about an hour. We sat outside and listened to live music by the water, which was incredible. There's plenty of benches and an outside bar to grab a drink, and a place for littles to play on the playground. We ordered the crab meat dip (not pictured because ), the mahi with crab and grits, and the blackened fish sandwich with green beans. Everything was excellent and we left there stuffed! The wontons served with the crab dip were a fun spin on chips, and there was so much meat in the dip. The mahi with grits were unbelievably excellent. The fish sandwich was a pleasant surprise as well, and a huge portion! They have plenty of drinks available as well, which is great. It is a little on the pricier side, but the portions and the taste of the food is so worth it. Will definitely be back for more!

Food was really done well. Calamari was cooked perfectly and the strips were thick and not chewy at all. The marinara dipping sauce was freshly made and really flavorful. Calamari was plentiful enough to need more to finish it up with the dipping sauce. Crab cakes were stuffed full of lean fresh crab and cooked crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside. Fresh delicious mashed potatoes just "lumpy enough". The seafood pastry puff pot pie was absolutely amazing and was also stuffed full of the "good stuff" and not just filler like some places try to pass off as "seafood" pot pie. We were sitting at the bar so there were the obvious annoyances you encounter...anyone who has had a meal at "the bar" knows the pros and cons associated with doing so. This place is no different. so don't be surprised by that. The ambiance is rustic, old, somewhat vintage, dark lighting seafood vibe, dark wood, worn and well used environment. The food was the star in this establishment. The inlet has A LOT of choices to choose from along the strip. This is a good one. Food was upper level while maintaining the "divey" aspect that is so prevalent in the inlet strip of establishments. Parking was a hat trick so make sure you read the signs and if it says paid parking they really mean it. Pay attention and follow the rules.

Excellent appetizers, great service, beautiful view. Will visit again. Enjoyed the oysters, scallops, and she crab soup.

Enjoyed a delicious meal with fantastic service by Avery at the Hot Fish Club. The Seafood Corn Chowder was delivered nice and hot and had plenty of flavor and seafood throughout each spoonful. The Roasted Pear appetizer hit the spot, while the main entre the Lobster Pot Pie with its flaky puff pastry crust over Chunks of lobster, shrimp & scallops in a white wine cream sauce was a real winner. The pot pie is large enough for 2 people or one very hungry person. We enjoyed the quiet and spacious seating on the enclosed back porch with a view of the inlet. Wil definitely stop back to try some of the many other items on their menu.

Pretty good food. Fried shrimp was not overly breaded. Good chance it was local although you can never be sure any more. Casual ambience, looked like some locals shower up in their pajamas. Sat in the back bar area outdoors, 1 hour + wait for inside dining.

Found my favorite restaurant after years of trial and error of exploring the area while staying in Myrtle. You absolutely must add Hot Fish Club to your list and make it a top priority -- ambiance literally cannot be beat, a boondocks feel with cute, fat cats greeting you in the parking lot and incredibly kind staff. Would return for the service alone, but the food thankfully made the experience even better. Don't skip the lobster pot pie or filet - both were incredible.

I will always give this place Every time we're in the Myrtle Beach area we come twice. The place is a great cross between casual local hang out and upscale casual. We dressed up a bit each night just for fun and felt right at home beside folks in shorts and sandals. This week enjoyed a wide range of choices from the menu. Whether you want a more traditional combo plate, and adventurous entree, soup, or even sushi, you can't go wrong here. Look through the pics to see some of our choices. The staff is always super Southern friendly, the wait staff is attentive and super helpful in making decisions or substitutions.

There's plenty of both inside and outside seating at this Murrell's Inlet waterside establishment. We were outside (which is actually all covered) at the bar which provides great views of the water. Oh yeah, and as one passes through the inside dining on the way to the outdoor bar, be sure to glance to the walls on your right that are covered with dog pictures and photos. Nice! The staff are friendly and helpful. Sam and Erin were working their buttooskies off getting drinks and orders for everyone at the bar and still had time to occasionally stop and chat with the patrons at the bar.
