Brutally honest review - took our SUV in on Sunday morning, we had a slow leak in right rear tire…read more Waited a while, Dante (extremely kind and professional) let us know that when our tire was removed, the technician actually ripped a hole through our tire. Dante let us know that they damaged our tire and generously offered to replace it . of course you can't really have a brand new tire and a used tire on the rear of your car which we pointed out. Dante offered to replace both tires at the cost of Mavis . we were so impressed to buy his owning up to the mistake that we offered to pay for one of the tires, and Mavis would pay for the tire that they damaged. We left Mavis with a spare tire on the right rear of the car and we were told to come back Tuesday when our two new tires would arrive. Arrived on Tuesday, and the two tires were put on the back of our SUV, watching the entire process, especially after the technician putting a hole through our tire, we did not feel a lot of confidence in the skills of the technicians in the bay . Left now for the second time, got home and realized that our tire pressure warning light was on because the tire had not been filled to the proper amount. Plus, on our receipt, it stated to come back within 25 miles of driving to have the torque tested. Now we are on Wednesday and it is the third visit to Mavis in four days. Let the gentleman know at the counter that our receipt said to bring it back in within 25 miles and he said he had never heard of that. Showed the receipt on my phone and let him know our tires were low just since yesterday. Got the torque tested, got the air in the tires. In all honesty, if this review were based on Dante and his professionalism, we would give a five star rating, however, the lack of confidence in the technicians is very concerning and for that reason we are giving a three star review. Secondly, what if we were in a position that we could not have paid for that second tire? It was a $449 transaction. We offered to pay for that tire so that our tires matched, but not all customers would be able to do that and that would mean that Mavis would have had to eat the cost of two tires. The establishment is new, nice, clean, however, we personally would not go to this location again . This should've been a one time appointment to check on air leak in a rear tire that probably could've been patched and it turned into three visits, $449 and a decent amount of hassle. We had high hopes for a brand new tire place close to home, but we will not return again .

The service men there actually save us from a fatal accident. Their work and common sense is undeniably unsurpassed. This place is full of totally professional and caring people.

Reasonable price, great owner, and nice location…read more Came in for an oil change and to track down the cause of a recurring stall issue with my Volkswagen Tiguan. The mechanic listened, asked good follow-up questions, made sure he understood the problem before drawing any conclusions, and then diagnosed it cleanly. The part arrived within the window he quoted (2-3 hours), was installed without fuss, and the final bill was reasonable. What stood out as much as the technical work: he flagged a slow coolant leak and a minor oil leak -- this is an older car, so neither was a shock -- but there was no pressure to pile on services. He showed me rough estimates so I'd have them when I'm ready and left the decisions to me. That kind of straightforward, no-upsell approach is rarer than it should be. The waiting area is a genuine plus: free wifi, a table big enough to work at, and a small fridge with complimentary drinks, large TV. My one suggestion would be to add a coffee in the AM. Also, the door to the reception currently reads "B". Might want to avoid any confusion with better signage. That said, I am a big fan of this establishment and will be using them for repairs in the future (apparently sooner than I want :) Bonus: he pointed me to a wonderful Indian place across the street, Biryani, which I'd highly recommend if you have time to kill while your car is being worked on.

Simply the BEST! Better than all the rest!!!…read more I've always wanted to add lockers in my 2nd Gen Tacoma. I was stuck with the conundrum of: - Adding a rear locker? Well, then I should do a re-gear at the same time. - If I re-gear, then I need to do both diffs. - If I'm doing both diffs., I may as well throw a locker in the front, too. It's a costly upgrade and not an easy impulse choice for someone ballin' on a budget, like me. A recent wheeling trip made the decision for me when I blew out the spider gears in the rear. There was a (semi) local company to me here in Washington State that used to have a pretty stellar reputation with gears, diffs. and locker setups but they were "acquired" by a larger conglomerate corp. and their service/support has declined dramatically in recent years. Not gonna mention names, but IYKYK. I've always heard great things about ECGS and had been running their solid bushing in my front diff. for over a decade; they know what they're doing, they do all the "hard" work for you with ready-to-go 3rd Members and clamshells diffs in nearly ANY configuration you could want. Surprisingly, their pricing is very competitive, especially in a post-COVID world of crazy price markups, supply chain issues/excuses - they continue to offer excellent pricing and outstanding support, warranty and customer service. When I was ready to purchase the setup I decided on, I worked with Will in their Sales and Tech dept. and he was amazing! Dude knows his stuff - he educated me on the benefits/advantages and what style locker and gear sets I would need. He was super personable and relatable and provided excellent tech articles and resources to assist me with doing the installation myself, along with some great tips to clean out the axle tube to ensure all the metal chunks were clear before installing the rear diff. (5 cans of brake clean with "toilet brush in a drill" trick worked GREAT, by the way - thanks Will!). The whole team is extremely competent and capable, and Will has been super responsive with me; always taking the time to reply to the random questions, requests, or updates I had along the way, and their after-sales support has been outstanding. ECGS was quick to prepare and ship the new diffs. and provided prepaid shipping labels to get my cores shipped back to them. The process was fool-proof and easy as can be. I would 110% recommend or refer them to ANYONE who needs ANYTHING related to gears, differentials, lockers, parts/service/technical support. They've gained a customer for life and I can't thank Will and Team enough for making a typically stressful and costly experience into something very easy and streamlined for me - plus I will have a much more capable and reliable Taco for many years to come. Cheers to you, Will, Chase and the whole ECGS Team!
