We felt welcome as soon as we walked up to the house and met Dave. He gave us a tour and showed us to our lovely (and large) room with a view of the vineyard. Dave and Donna have thought of anything you may need. There's a bar, 24-hr access to coffee, tea and water, board games, pool table, a mini indoor golf set, spacious outdoor seating to take in the beauty of the property or have a drink by one of the fire pits, even microwave popcorn! Dave made us a fabulous breakfast each morning and was super friendly as he presented each dish and chatted with us. If you're considering checking this place out, DO IT!!! I stumbled along this place online and we were so happy I did! The innkeeper was very gracious and gave great recommendations on local restaurants and activities. It was September/October so we decided we wanted to take a "leaf peeping" drive and so we followed a map and some road signs for magnificent views of the New England fall foliage. We even went over a few covered bridges, that was a first for us! We did wine tastings at local nearby wineries, including Hopkins, which was our favorite. We bought some souvenir wine glasses and a bottle (or three) of wine and enjoyed it at Lake Waramaug -- the most beautiful autumn setting -- not far from home base at Constitution Oak. Bunnell Farm was nearby and they have a great corn maze. You can also stop for fresh produce, pickles and preserves at Freund Farm along the Leaf Peeping route. This B&B is in a great area with lots of local attractions nearby, including historic Litchfield. We stayed in a room upstairs and it was huge! There were 3 beds so we both had our own bed and then some. The bathroom was in the hallway but we were the only guests so it didn't matter. There was a nice dining room with pastries and coffee waiting for us in the morning and a cozy sitting room to unwind.

Right when I walked in Lorraine greeted me and showed me around, offered me some freshly made brownies and we chatted over the deliciousness. The bathroom attached was amazing. I had a nice soak before dinner and drinks. Lorraine and her husband live there and are amazing hosts. The bed and breakfast is only about 10 minutes away from Bradley Airport and in the quaint town of Suffield. They have a grocery and some restaurants across the street, but little traffic in the neighborhood. It's such a great getaway spot. Breakfast in the morning was also SPECTACULAR. Blueberry pancakes, bacon and eggs, with a fruit salad to start. Lorraine really treats you like family when you stay here. I would be honored to be a guest here again. Thanks so much Lorraine!
