The service was amazing. When a fork was dropped he happened to be right there, too. I know that was luck, but it was good overall too. The outside seems like it was very recently repainted. It looks great. The inside design is pretty interesting too. The food was mostly great. The pasta with clam sauce was not warm. It was close to warm, but didn't quite get there. It clearly waited for the other dishes to get out of the oven. The flavor was good, tho. The desserts were yummy. I also love that they serve Arsenal. I ordered my birthday dinner from here and everyone agreed, it was delicious! It was our first experience ordering from Domenicos and won't be the last! We ordered tossed salad (great Italian and ranch dressing!), chicken Enzo, and their penne with vodka sauce. They included 20/25 dinner rolls, also delicious and such a delight to receive! We aren't a family that compliments everything we eat, being Italian, we are picky, but this was very good food and I would recommend those who have the chance to eat here, do so! We had a nice dinner last night but it did start out a bit strange. We had reservations but I realized that we might be as much as twenty minutes late so I send a message about three hours before alerting them. We arrived seventeen minutes late and were told our reservation was cancelled and were put on a wait list. Not a big deal as we were seated within minutes but was off putting that they didn't hold it. The Casserole Combo was nice and spicy the way I like it and the chicken entrees that the rest of our party had were also good. I ate here with 3 friends on a Friday @ 4:30-5pm. We were seated promptly, without a reservation, by a friendly hostess. It's been many years since I ate here once before. From what I recall, they must have renovated the inside (or I'm misremembering). It used to be obnoxiously loud and rather sterile in terms of atmosphere inside. The acoustics were much better this time and the decor was clean and inviting. Our waitress was friendly and promptly took our drink orders and soon after took our food order. Our food was quickly prepared (small pizza, two pasta dishes, and a sandwich) - we all commented on how fast it was served to us. I had a chicken parm with pasta. While the chicken was cooked perfectly and had good flavor, the cheese could have used a bit more bake and the penne pasta was nearly mush - each piece of penne fell apart when attempting to stab it with my fork. Way over cooked. That said; our whole table generally enjoyed our meals but no one was blown away by anything either. (I didn't take any pictures of it because frankly it wasn't photo-worthy. Just run-of-the-mill) All-in-all, this is a nice place to get a decent meal and good service. read more

Every time I come back to this area to visit family and friends, this place is a MUST! The Chicken Parmigiana from this place -- crispy, saucy perfection that should make any italian Nonna proud. And this visit, I dared to try something different and was absolutely not disappointed... the Chicken Enzo -- I think I found Parm's (better) cousin. I regretfully didn't take a picture, but it was also a beautiful dish... I will make sure to capture it during my next visit. BUt both dishes are chef's kiss! I could come here in a regular basis just to eat their Crispy Italian Chicken Club Sandwich. Every ingredient pairs well and is perfectly executed. Even their fries, while basic, are crispy and piping hot. We've been here a few other times to try their different pastas and entrees and I've been pleasantly surprised each time. Service is usually good and the food is very good but everything is too pricey for the portion and the beer is expensive also. I got the same beer at another restaurant for $1.75 cheaper. No reason to raise the price to try and be a yuppy restaurant. Lower or reasonable pricing will get more patronage that will more than make up for the price gouge. read more

We come here every now and then for various items. The Buffalo Hot Wings are really good and moist not overcooked like a lot of places if you ask them not to cook them too much. Food was amazing and bar tender very pleasant, informative and gave excellent recommendations. Prices around $15 for sandwich and fries, but food was amazingly good and worth the price. We met our family for a little reunion before we all departed the Burgh. Food as good. Service outstanding. Artichokes were nicely prepared with a light crust. Appetizer with prosciutto and mozzarella was super tasty. The meat casseroles and The stuffed peppers were amazing. A little bit of heat and the sausage was tender and spicy. Several people have recommended this restaurant to me. The first time we tried it, it was pretty good. Beans and greens had little greens and was just ok. The pizza was very good. This time, Sunday, we tried again and was disappointed with the food. Pizza is tasty but overcooked. The salad was just ok, lettuce was wilted and steak fatty--not fresh tasting. Vongole tasted like sand. Service was fine. We will try again because of the recommendations--they may have just had a bad night in the kitchen. Chicken parmigiana-chicken taste and texture was as expected, it was served with penne - if I wanted long pasta there was a $1.50 up charge. Angel hair pasta came with house red sauce-pasta was typical boxed and sauce a bit bland with many tomato chunks . If I had to pick my "highlight" I'd go with the ranch dressing. We went to Domenico's this evening and requested outside seating. There was a very nice patio area for us to sit at. Wait staff was friendly and somewhat attentive. Restaurant was not all that busy. We ordered an appetizer of garlic and cheese bread. I liked the cheese used, but the bread was not toasted/baked enough and had pools of butter on it also. I ordered pizza for myself with the leftovers to go home from kids. My wife ordered chicken piccata with a side of pasta. The chicken she seems to enjoy but for the money was not a large serving. My wife asked to switch sauce for her pasta. Seems like a simple request. The bill arrived and the different sauce on a small side of pasta was a $3 upgrade. We have lived 2 miles away from Domenico's for the past 2 years, and we FINALLY decided to try it last night. Our server (I believe her name was Kaitlin), was great! The bruschetta was good but a little bland. I prefer more garlic/seasonings and maybe some balsamic vinegar on top. But the pizza, oh man. We had buffalo chicken, one of our favorites. This particular pizza might be our ACTUAL favorite. The pizza had thicker crust and just enough sauce to taste it, but it wasn't messy and dripping all over the place like most buff chick pizzas. Fried Burrata is an interesting idea but doesn't work in the execution as you end up with a heavily breaded exterior and a watery interior that just makes a mess. Veal parm was good but as others have said the red sauce was oddly watery. My wife got a salad with salmon and two ice teas with my food somehow added up to a nearly $100 bill. The service was nice but average and it all adds up to us not planning on going back. read more

Great example of please do not judge a book by its cover. We have lived in the areas for years and never tried Domenico's until last weekend. Why? No idea other than it was probably mediocre Italian food in my preconceived mind. We went out with some friends who asked us to meet them there. Sure, why not. We got there first and sat at the bar while we waited. The beer selection and cocktail menu impressed us out of the gate and the cocktails were made well and correctly also. Alright, nice start, we thought. Our guests arrived and we were seated. We asked the host as he passed by (who we found out was also the owners son) if we could only have one item what would you suggest. Without hesitation, he said his dad's pork Bolognese. It is only on the menu 3-4 times per year and word gets out and it sells out quickly. They put it over pappardelle (the best choice for Bolognese in my opinion anyway), so I went for it. It was fantastic. Another person at the table got it as well and also loved it. The others got salmon piccata (a big hit) and chicken parmigiana. As apps we got the beans and greens (unique preparation style as they used baby spinach and it was not wilted, but very good) and fried zucchini. Everything ranged from good to great. Pleasantly surprised. 4 stars versus 5 mostly for the service. When we were served, the server was good, she was just scarce, even when the place emptied. Overall, if you are like me and think you know what this place will be even though you have not been there, go and find out for yourself. We will be back! read more

For years this was a favorite Friday night our for dinner. Recently the menu has changed and my favorites dinners are no longer offered or the recipe has changed. LOVED the basil pesto mussels....now the sauce is different and I cannot eat them. Domenico's provided us some really good pie. Every Wednesday, the team and I go to different pizzerias. Domenico's was on our list to try. Atmosphere - We walked in was greeted by the hostess. Bar to the left, restaurant to the right. We sat in the restaurant area. The place was very clean. Service - Sue was our waitress and did an awesome job. While I get a Pep and Cheese pizza as a baseline, we do get one of their specialty pizzas and a pizza to go for those who had to work thru lunch. Sue guided us and provided some excellent suggestions. Food - The pizza was really good. It came out hot. Now depending on your taste, the pizza is a thin crust, NY Style. It has the little air bubbles (my non technical term) of goodness. The crust has a slight chew but did not have any flop which is key for me :) We went with the Pep and Cheese, Stuff Crust, and a Meat Lovers to go. The toppings / Innards - were great. Stuff pizza had peppers, onions, sausage (we topped it with marinara). The Pep and Cheese was really good and had the crispy pepperoni that provided a texture difference. The team back at the office consumed the meat lovers pretty fast but it looked good as well. Over all - I would definitely go here again. This beats any chain pizzeria hands down. read more

First I have to say the wait staff, bartenders are all very friendly and do a great job and do deserve a 5 star rating. The little warm rolls also deserve a 5 star rating. The facility is clean and bright which is great to be able to read the menu. The menu is loaded with lots of choices and maybe we just made bad ones! I ordered the Zucchini Parmesan which I have never had. I was amazed how thin they were able sliced the Zucchini! I have never seen Zucchini sliced that thin and there was so much breading, maybe to kinda make you think you were getting more than you really were. The serving slice was about 3.5" square for $14 or $15, no salad. There was very little cheese on it so I used a lot of grated Parm to give it more taste. Thinking maybe it was me I offered my friend a taste and we were in agreement. She ordered the Pasta Alfredo for $17 that came out in a huge bowl making the small portion look lost, said it was just so, so and wouldn't order it again she also had a side salad $9.50. So will I go back? Who knows there are a lot of places to choose from in the Cranberry area. read more

First time in the Pittsburgh area for a weekend, and needed a place for dinner and not sure what we wanted. Decided to try this restaurant and so glad we did. Like others have said, if you are from NJ or NY you know what a good pizza should taste like. Pizza from Domenico's does not disappoint and it even made my husband want to come back the next day. While being seated another table was having their French onion soup delivered and that looked awesome so I had to try and it was delicious as well.
