Ok so hear me out. The place is fairly rundown, dirty even and just plain old. That's really the charm of it. The people are friendly, the beer is cheap and cold. This was a very eclectic venue choice for dinner. We wanted a beer and a burger so we stopped in. Pulled into a large parking lot and were greeted with a loud live band. We found a seat and menus were brought over to us. Definitely had to talk loud and get close to listen if you wanted to have a conversation. The restrooms were clean and so was the establishment. The decor was everywhere. So much to take in. Could not get over the amount of deer heads hanging. We got up and danced a little bit really enjoyed watching others enjoy the dance floor. I had a burger and long Island. My husband had a beer and texmex potatoe skins. Nothing note worthy to write home about. Decent food for a decent price. The service sucked ass. Waited 42 minutes for menues that never came. Server "Sarah" only catered to the elderly, who by the way was seated at the same table. " Sarah came to the table 3 times bringing food and drinks only to the elderly. I had to go to the bar to get my daughter a sprite. On top of that the bartender doesn't know the definition of neat" if your over the age of 60 this is the place for you. If your under the age of 60 avoid. We ventured in on a Saturday and my goodness what a friendly and welcoming place! The bartender, Elodia, was delightful and friendly. The vibe was welcoming and the space is clean. The he owner, Marian, was lovely to talk to and I think this is one of the only local bars in the area I will be back to. read more

Is everybody ok over there? There is an overwhelming feeling of "not my turn" when it came to receiving any service. So many servers/bartenders will literally make eye contact with me, just to have them walk away as if I'm not a brand new customer with money in hand ready to patronize. I only go when live music takes me there. Every experience I walk away just feeling like I don't understand how they are so busy. It absolutely CAN'T be because of the service or food. I've tried food twice, I'm big on second chances, I know the business, could just be an off night. But the first time the burger I ordered was gray & the fries were cold, second was a quesadilla & was so bad. No flavor & the veggies were huge, like c'mon, just take the time & dice them. It's disappointment at every turn. How can somewhere be so busy when every server there acts as though every customer is not welcome there? And this was echoed by many others I spoke to there. One couple came & left because after a half hour, no one approached their table to offer anything, and one of them tried walking up to the bar, just to continue being ignored so they left. I found out that the person that was the most outrightly rude to me was actually the owner and she was completely drunk. Soooo only gave an extra star for the band, they were awesome, so points for getting good talent I guess. read more

I ordered an appetizer of buffalo chicken tots as an appetizer and my husband ordered a chicken tender basket. my husband got his and actually finished his and I am still waiting 15 minutes later. Don't order the cod (pollock) dinner. We asked the rude waitress which is it.. cod or pollock, she said it's cod. Wrong It was batter.. when she brought our meal to us we were amazed at the size of the fillets.. until we actually cut into them. ALL BATTER. Very disappointing. Went here last summer. It was like I was in the surface of the sun. Hot, sticky. The poor bartender girl was soaked through you could see things you shouldn't. Be was cold. But that was it. They have ok food. Nothing crazy. I heard they have bands. Never seen one in the times I've gone. read more

Don't have a word to say about the food but the Open Mike is absolutely amazing! Thursday nights head on over to the Hayloft Inn, awesome atmosphere, perfect condenser microphone and PA system that is used to broadcast live on the college radio station: WNMC 90.7FM. All levels of talent are welcomed and even better at the end there's a big jam session where everyone contributes. Didn't order any food, but beer and the waitress and the locals/regulars in general were great. Overall, one of the best Open Mike's I've been too; you will surely have a great time here! read more

I love this place! The staff is super nice and I just love the western feel environment. They recently have had nice changes to the menu and the new a/c units put in make this place a frequent visit of mine. The full bar has multiple kinds of beer on tap and have quite the assortment of mix drink options. This family friendly restaurant has Karaoke on Wednesday's, Open Mic Night on Thursdays and live country music on Fridays and Saturdays. The price is very reasonable and I would 100% recommend the Hayloft-Inn. read more

Food was horrible. Steak sandwich with no steak! Fries were cold. Never come here. Waitress was nice, but everything was bad! Cook was cooking with micro wave. It was so bad I wanted to ask not to pay, usually I dont care that much, but this sandwich was miserable, you cold tell just by looking that the ingredients were old and the fries were reheated in that ild microwave. I love coming to the hayloft on Thursdays for open Mic night but the waitress w brown hair who is always there on Thursdays is a horrible waitress! We watched our drinks sit on the bar for 15mins just about so we got up and grabbed them! I wish I knew her name she is unfriendly and the worst server I've ever had!! Anytime we have gotten food we hear the bell ding and our food sits in the window while she's doing nothing! Not the fault of the kitchen but the waitress who clearly could care less about her job! We really enjoyed playing pool, having dinner and drinks here but the past few times we were ignored completely. We ordered our food and drinks at the bar which is fine but no one asked if we wanted anything. Our waitress left out the door without saying anything and never got our full order. The bartender charged us for food we didn't get and we asked her to take it off our bill and she said we should of "hollered" at her if we needed something. Makes me sad because we want to support small business owners but not at the cost of being treated like this and being loyal customers. There was only 3 people at the bar and two tables! We kindly asked to change the radio station because it was gospel music which we don't mind but thought we would just ask for a change in the pool room but they just turned it up louder.. The food is terrible. Packaged, frozen, canned, etc. I worked in the service industry for quite a while and I can tell when the fryers aren't being cleaned... These aren't. Service is friendly unless you're waited on by the owner who generally seems unhappy to be there. read more

!!! Wet burritos! Jen's secret margarita mix! This place is a dream come true seemingly in the middle of nowhere. I live in Chicago now and cannot find a wet burrito there to save a life, so the promise of that gooey ooeey cheesy hot saucy goodness sent my vacation spirit soaring! This place....We love to come for the Open Mic night on Thursdays, but yesterday may have been our last. The music is great, the food is good, but when you have to beg to get service, it is almost not worth it. This particular waitress seems like she would rather just go home or sit on her phone than give any tables any attention. We have had other great service in the past, but are very hesitant to have to deal with this one again. read more

So my girlfriend and I are new to town and we were recommended here for Wing Night, on a Tuesday. 55 cent wings, you can't really complain, or so you would think. We walked in and sat ourselves at a booth by the fireplace. The place had maybe two other tables. We waited about 5 minutes for our waitress (there was only one waitress and a bartender) to get off of her phone. Our drink order was taken, I had a sierra mist and my wife had a water. Our drinks were delivered about 5 minutes later. The waitress was on her phone again. She dropped off our drinks and took our food order. I ordered 12 hot wings and my wife ordered 10 of the sweet and spicy, We finished our drinks, and sat there for a good 25 minutes. During this time the waitress cleaned off one table and spent the rest of the time on her phone. Finally she brought our food, and went to get us refills. The wings were cold! They were cooked, but cold. My assumption is that they sat in the Kitchen until our waitress was good and ready to get them. She came by and dumped the cups on our table with the bill and left. We finished our drinks and ate some of the cold wings, as we had had it. Our bill was about $16, I left some cash on the table and we left. My advice to this owner would be to get rid of this waitress (Dawn?) or re-train her, because she is by far the worst waitress I have ever had! Rude and she just didn't care. read more
