Two stars might be generous. It gets that because of prices being generally fair. The food was average at best. We ate here twice (once as carryout) during a stay at the resort it is located in. Carryout was three hamburgers. Service was quick enough, food was average at best. Two days later we stopped for dinner. Had a steak (prepared wrong, and with other stuff on the plate that was asked not to be served with the meal), a grilled cheese and soup (no complaint) and soup with a pulled pork sandwich. The waiter started off nice enough, but was a bit rude to one of us when we complained about the steak being overcooked. Because mom ate it all (It was $26, so she didn't waste it), he insinuated that she was lying about it not being good. Service was generally bad though. We seated ourselves as it asked us to, and took them 10 minutes to notice we were in the small restaurant. There was only one other table occupied, and three people working. I had a soda with my meal, took me over 20 minutes to get a refill on my drink, and then he forgot what I was drinking and had to ask again. (remember, he only had 2 tables, 5 total customers) The price wasn't bad though, we had those three meals, a carryout pizza and an order of chicken tenders to go and were out for $85 before the tip. Tables were sticky as they appeared to not have been washed in some time.

Great tasting sandwich, not the usual "bar fare".

14" pizza rocked!!! It tasted as awesome as it smelled. Service wasn't as good as it could have been but the food quality made up for it.

The 1/2 pound burger is topped with Fried Cheese, Fresh Jalapeño, Pulled Pork, Cole Slaw, Haystack Onions, Bourbon BBQ Sauce. The burger was very good with a few caveats. The pulled pork is very average and doesn't add anything to the burger. The fried cheese was very good and did add to thd burger. The bourbon bbq sauce was meh and didn't add much. However the meat itself is excellent and I think a plainer burger would have been better. The fries that came with the burger were very good. I also ordered a Chocolate Shake and it was fantastic. the service was very good and everyone was very friendly. Overall a solid 4 star review. Would I return? Absolutely. Definitely for the shakes and I very much believe a simpler burger would have been better.

The slight cherry tang invthe bbq sauce created a very appetizing taste. The wings were cooked perfectly and I highly enjoyed them. I ordered the Pork Chop dinner ($29). This is a local michigan-raised pork with a cherry apple chutney. The pork chop was excellent and the cherry apple chutney was a great addition. It came with mashed potatoes and a cucumber corn medley. They both were very good. North Peak Brewing makes their own Root Beer. Honestly that why I chose to come here. Thankfully the Root Beer was excellent. The service was friendly, but not very efficient. I think they are short staffed because the bar tender was also my waiter and he was busy bartendering! Overall I still rate this a 5 star review. The Wings, Pork Chop, and Root Beer were all excellent and I would return for any of them. So yes I would Return.

I haven't been here for years, and was so happy to see that the menu still had my favorite Monte Cristo and beer cheese soup! Prices are high because it's Traverse City, so that doesn't bother me and you get the soup for 5 bucks when you add it to a meal! Nice! We started with the calamari - small portion, but it was hot and fresh and plenty for 2 people to share. I also had a small house salad, and added white cheddar for $1 (that was a good suggestion from our server Kylie!). The pesto ranch was great too. I love their main IPA, they do a great job, and it is always on the menu (versus seasonal). I love how this place is laid out, there are lots of wooden booths that feel quiet and private. The only reason for taking off a star is the parking. It's incredible that for a large restaurant, they share a small lot with multiple businesses. Everything else is great and you will appreciate the consistency and the spaciousness of this restaurant!

This place has potential- it's an adorable cozy hometown bar that has all the feels to be the best place in town- but boy did it drop many balls. Pro: 1: Televisions on around the space with the live football game on! Woohoo 2: jukebox where you can select the tunes. 3: they give you a small cup of crayons for kids, "and they weren't the normal red, blue, green, yellow only!" The pros end there sadly. We stopped in at 6:35 on Sunday. The restaurant was busy but not wild. We stood for ten minutes before anyone greeted us- and when we were greeted the woman said oh there's a table there you can take. So if you stop in I am assuming it's seat yourself?! After seating ourselves we sat at our table another ten minutes without menus, without being greeted. My husband and I looked at each other and laughed- maybe we're supposed to order at the bar?! I got up and got menus for our table. After another 5-8 minutes a server came over and took our order. We ordered two pizzas, a burger, nachos, and a wet chicken burrito. The food took forever to arrive- I mean forever!!!! Like I mentioned we sat at 6:50ish, and our food arrived at 8:04! Our kids were pretty over waiting and so were we. The food was very sub par- we won't be returning unfortunately which is a bummer because the bar is adorable. The nachos were gross and felt like a can of dog food had been poured onto tortilla chips. The only redeeming factor was the sour cream and cheese per our kids. The pizza was pretty awful also! And it's pizza- it's not hard to get pizza right. The pizza was so darn greasy. I couldn't eat mine and our kids only had a few bites. Such a bummer. My husband ate his burger but didn't love it. The burrito was eh- nothing to write home about. I was excited and hopeful about it. The chicken inside was a bit off putting to me. It felt like fake chicken bits which totally creeped me out. After we paid our bill we eagerly left. If you're passing through town keep going. There busy be better. My husband and I only came in for a quick easy good meal- after our time here we wish we'd cooked in.
