Dishwasher was supposed to be delivered and installed. It wasn't. Company said nobody was home. Not True ! There were no cars but my husband stayed home all day to be there for a delivery. They must have whisper knocked otherwise my dog would have gone crazy. They also didn't call. Who does that? I double checked and have no missed calls. Guess they wanted to start their weekend early. Hays contracted by Costco to deliver dishwasher. Didn't have a sound barrier or plug on the dishwasher. Did some shady things on a brand new dishwasher. I had to exchange it for another one that delayed my use. Don't trust them and avoid them. read more

Ordered a dishwasher from Costco for delivery on Jan 2nd, hays said due to circumstances beyond their control it would be the 3rd before they delivered. Not sure why its beyond their control because Costco showed in in Houston Dec 31st at the loading dock. I told them ok the 3rd is fine but I need to leave for work at 12:30 so please try before then. They called and told me 12:30 they would be there. They showed up at 13:15 so called my wife to come by on her lunch break since I really was running late for work. They took one look at my supply line and said it was crimped on so they couldn't install I need a plumber to change the valve. Builder put on one of those terrible flow tite connectors, not their problem so I said just take the old dishwasher and install what you can leaving the supply line there for the plumber and I'll take care of it. They said they couldn't do that because they need to test it out. So then can you at least take the old unit? Nope can't do anything, so they left the dishwasher in my kitchen and left. So show up a day late, then late on the next day and very unhelpful. At the very least they should have hauled off the old unit. Anyway today I have a professional coming to take care of the job they couldn't do. Called Costco and they are compensating me for the other guy to install it. I understand the valve was an issue and I was willing to pay extra to resolve it. If they cannot fix that I also understand but do everything else at least and leave that to a plumber. But to do nothing and using that as the excuse is unacceptable. read more

Today was our second incredibly pleasing encounter, as we hired Hays Appliance installations to install a new window air conditioner unit in one of our bedrooms, and to relocate the a/c unit that had been in that room to another bedroom in the house. We were *so* impressed by Hays' first job at our house, a huge 220 a/c unit in our living room, that I was so elated that I had called Hays Appliance for this second job. And it went just as well. Hays Appliance Installations did a great job here this afternoon. We upgraded some appliances purchased from COSTCO for our house that was built in 2006. The Samsung slide-in convection oven/air fryer and stovetop fit like a glove and is a huge improvement compared with the basic GE Free Standing oven installed by the builder. Dalton, the installer, removed the existing overhead GE microwave/exhaust and opened the new Samsung purchased from COSTCO. Unfortunately, the new unit was damaged in shipping as Dalton did a visual inspection of the new unit. He took pictures of the damage and will send them to COSTCO so COSTCO can pick up the damaged unit and replace it. Dalton, re-installed the old GE unit so we still have a functioning MW oven until this project is completed. Disappointed in the delay, but offer the following two observations: 1) Hays Appliance Installations are busy. They got here at 1:00 pm, Dalton indicated he had installed 7 units before he got to our house. The damage to the unit is due to shipping and handling along the supply chain. Dalton suggested that we install the old unit without me having to ask. 2) This is our first experience buying appliances from COSTCO or any "Big Box" store. We saved over $600 on the price of the Samsung oven and the process for ordering, shipping, delivery, and installation went surprisingly well. In fact, the delivery arrived nearly 10 days ahead of the original estimated date at the time of ordering online. Hays Appliance Installations could improve response time for answering messages, but the quality of their service outweighs that minor inconvenience. read more

I'm not so sure that the bad reviews apply as a whole. Here's why: Hays contracts for several companies as I understand it... Sears, Costco, etc... not to mention, they have "teams," which means there are sure to be some "bad apples" in the bunch. Such is NOT the case in my experience... I ordered my LG Signature D/W from Costco and received STELLAR installation from the team they sent out. Todd & Tommy were professional, punctual, polite, and quite efficient. They uninstalled the old dishwasher, installed the new one with ease and WITHOUT any causing any damage. I am waiting on the microwave to be delivered and when it is - I will surely request the team that came out to be the installers! Besides - if you have a bad experience (which I hope you don't), don't hesitate to call them... Even the staff that answered the phone to schedule the install was pleasant!! ;-) Great job Hays! read more

What an absolutely flaky company. Our delivery and install have been scheduled to occur within hours our the other for weeks. The dishwasher shows up with the delivery people (different company) giving updates and showing up ON-TIME. This company can't even be bothered to provide a single update or have the decency to say if they won't make the scheduled window. They just never showed! No notice. No update. No rescheduling. No consideration. Unprofessional and a complete waste of my time. Only use this install company if you like sitting around watching paint dry. read more

Hays was the contractor assigned by the Sears instalation service. They were on time and completed the installation of two appliances quickly, even though modifications were required. The modifications added a bit to the final price, but it was expected. I would use them again. read more

This company has the most atrocious customer service of any company I've ever dealt with. We ordered a dishwasher through Costco which came with free delivery and installation. The delivery was fine, they showed up on time. Hays was the company doing the installation and they were supposed to be here on Monday. It's now Sunday. No one ever showed up. I've left them voicemails, so has Costco. They're nowhere to be found. They literally disappeared. The voicemail says it's full now. We ended up having to pay $150 for someone else to come out and install the dishwasher. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!! read more

If i could give zero i would. Installed a bosch dbl oven for my client, damaged the oven, damaged a cabinet door, and damaged garage entry door. Spoke to supervisor and he said i have to pay them or they will remove the appliance. Really? You create prob $1,000 in damages and you demand your 140 check upfront or you wont honor your mistake? Thats a $4,000 oven. Do not use them, they will not make good on their mistakes. I have worked with them in the past too. Had attitude issues with them previosuly too. My fault for using them again I suppose. I am a builder and am telling Houston to not use this company. They don't care. read more

they are very unprofessional and are not very customer oriented. I stayed home all day from work to be able to get the dishwasher installed and they didn't show up. When I called them and asked to speak to their Supervisor I was told that they would call me back. That never happened. read more

They are contracted with Sears and I had an appointment with them to install my microwave. I took the day off from work but my installation person never called or showed up. I called up Sears to follow up on my appointment, thinking that perhaps they fell behind due to bad weather. They contacted Hays appliance installation for me, left a voicemail and email, and gave me their direct contact. By that time, Hays was close for the night (5pm) so I figured I'll hear back from them in the morning. Morning came and I heard nothing back so I ended up just calling them myself. Not surprisingly, it went to voicemail. I called Sears again and they left a voicemail for me. Throughout the day I called Hays directly and it just went to voicemail. My boyfriend is on the phone with Sears once again (it's 7:43 pm) trying to get someone else to come install our microwave. I would have been ok if they were to call me to tell me that something happened, like bad weather or short staffed, but they have been absolutely silent on their end. Personally I don't really want to hear from them at this point because they've already demonstrated awful customer service by not following through with a simple phone call. I'm a reasonable person and never leave bad reviews but they have tested my patience and I must speak up about their bad customer service. My advice is to call them up and see how they treat you over the phone before you decide on hiring them to come to your home. Good luck! read more

No call / no showed for an appointment to install my kitchen appliances. What a waste of a Saturday.

Called Hays to reinstall appliances after new cabinet installation. Workers showed up on time, but Keith came in with an attitude. I found out at 8 pm the night before that my sink wouldn't fit until plumbing was reconfigured under sink. No problem since Hays was coming out the next day. But Keith said it was a problem for him. He said he had gone to Home Depot at 6 am to get parts needed to do my reinstall and had he known about plumbing reconfiguration he could have bought what he needed to do it. I don't know what a plumber needs to reconfigure, and my regular plumber sometimes has to go buy parts to complete a job. i wouldn't have been able to tell him what he needs to buy. So he whines and chews me out for 10 minutes for not calling him to tell him there was a problem which I had no clue was a problem. A hissy fit isn't an appropriate response from a grown man. It's rude and disrespectful especially when I'm paying $640 for less than 2 hrs of work. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 is because the guy that did the electrical work was polite and professional. I'm happy with the installation. But it's aggravating to pay a worker to come into my house and demean me. It won't happen again because I won't use Hays again. read more
