Lined with couches and coffee tables, the rooms provide a comfortable environment for your singing pleasure. There are also multiple microphones in each room, so your group can sign all the romantic duets you want! I booked the VIP room last Friday night for my co-workers. 20 of us packed the room, but the room never felt overly crowded. I went out with my brother and his friends on Friday and we ended up here. This place is pretty awesome if you just want to sing. They apparently update their songs every month and there are a tonnnn to choose from. We even dragged out the Chinese binder to attempt to sing those (that had an interesting effect). You're allowed to bring your own food and drinks, and they don't seem to care if you bring your own alcohol, so long as you don't get too insane. Some of the music videos are pretty hilarious, and you can tell it's definitely from Asia. I think the medium room was something around $30 an hour, so if you bring a group of friends, you're good to go! The group I was with got prettyyyy drunk and very, very loud, but they left us alone. The owner seems to be a pretty nice soul, and they can apparently record the singing that goes on in there (I shudder to think about that CD...). Last words: The sign outside the door changes colors. What a great time we had at this place, private and fun. I watched as they sanitized everything over and over multiple times, I felt safe and the price was worth it. I love this place! I went here a month or so ago with a group of friends and loved it! Getting a private room and comfortable seating made this place a plus. The owners were very nice and accommodating. I really wish they had a bigger selection of music though. And the song book was harder to navigate and some of the songs weren't instrumental which made it less fun to sing to. On random nights we want to go karaoke, we ended up staying in Hayward and this is where we go. Located a little bit outside of Downtown Hayward, next to a Pho shop, and some Korean restaurant is this karaoke studio. There's plenty of parking, but late nights there are always groups of people outside. The studio has it's own bars, so they don't really want you to bring your own drinks. Not that it has been enforced, but for sure noted on the door. Also, to use your credit card, minimum of $20. Just FYI warning. The customer service was alright. He did his job getting you a room duh. Pricing: About $30/hr for small group. The room: The room we were in itself had the worst echo. Also, I don't know about anyone else, but half the songs that were provided weren't even the same beat, and didn't have the audio voice with it either. The older songs were cool to sing, but the newer songs is like wth kind of beat is this. The whole YouTube enable thing is seriously just a Chromecast. Kinda pricy for $30/hr and you're singing with just a mic and Chromecast. I'm just saying... They did give us a CD recording which I will never listen to, because I don't think I can sing. Lol... soo.... but still kinda dope I guess. I gave it a 3 stars just because, meh the system, the sound, and the music wasn't all available. Recorded in a CD to take home. Best karaoke experience I have ever had. The parking lot is huge so there shouldn't be a huge worry about parking. They have private rooms for all size and you can bring food in. Have fun and sing on good people. He might be a little off-putting to newcomers, but once you are a regular he is super friendly. ASK THE DUDE ABOUT CHANGING THE MUSIC SETTINGS, we got in there and everything was in Korean, he quickly came in and changed it to English (obvi helpful). This is a Korean owned Karaoke joint. They have private rooms that fit up to 20 people and smaller rooms for smaller group. The rooms are clean, equipped with laser lights, one of the back wall has this cool neon artwork and very well kept. The old gentlemen I assume is the owner is super nice and very accommodating. We asked for a large room that could hold up to 20 people. We got there about 9pm on a Saturday right before the place got busy. They have the traditional old school book that has list of songs and numbers. Songs are listed in alphabetical sequence and it's tie to a figure. You enter the figure and it pulls up the song. If you grew up in a family that likes to sing you know what I mean. You'll be spending hella time looking songs. Not very fun. In addition to this they do offer free wifi so you can do away the book. You sign into their wifi and pull karaoke songs on YouTube. Amazing!!!!!! We had a couple of mic hogger. We had so much fun to say the least. read more

Very fun place to sing your guts out. I had a party of 3, arrived on a Saturday night at 10 with no reservation, and got the small room. No wait was a big plus. Song selections are from YouTube. You're given a tablet to search the songs and it helps when you queue everything to utilize your time. We got room #4 and experienced no issues. They gave us a CD at the end which recorded us for the first 16 songs (we ended up staying a little over an hour and sang about 27 songs total). Friendly staff. I'll be back again! read more

You may have your star back. Plus another one. Went for my birthday yesterday and it was the same good time we usually have pretending to be rock stars. We were put in a room with couches instead of the benches (smaller group) but it had a flatscreen tv that I definitely appreciated over the projector screens we've had in other rooms. Here's where the night gets interesting. The cops busted in on us and checked out the drinks we brought.... which was kind of cool? Can't say I've ever had that happen before. Not as big of deal as everyone was originally making it out to be. They just checked ID's and asked if the owner facilitated at all by giving us cups or anything. It looked like they were trying to peg him, but weren't really concerned with us since we were all of age. I gotta say, we all felt pretty bad when we went to pay. I had a special 25% discount that we were going to use that night but felt strange about asking for because of the visit from the police. As we approached the counter, we apologized to the owner. Here's where they get the star back and then some. He was NOT EVEN TRIPPING! ... I mean about us, specifically, that is. He was friendly and courteous regardless of the cop situation which really took us all by surprise. He said he got a ticket, but not to feel bad because other rooms had drinks too. We made some small talk and finally, a friend of mine got the courage to ask for at least our 20% birthday discount. He gave it to us without batting an eyelash or asking for my ID. Truly an amazing experience in GOOD family run customer service. To the officers that constantly come by to write him tickets, I would like to say he really can't tell if anyone is bringing anything in. Please cut him some slack. Hayward Karaoke Studio is unique in that it has a Yelp check-in offer that allows you to receive the first 90 minutes of your session for FREE as a take home souvenir. The question of whether such a CD will be a fun memento of your karaoke adventure or a horrifying example of blackmail material that must be hidden away forever is completely at your discretion however -- I personally believe that what happens in karaoke should stay in karaoke, but hey to each their own. Beyond this unique check in offer, not much else differentiates Hayward Karaoke Studio from other karaoke places I have tried. A small room contains two mics, two couches, flashing lights, and a giant tv where the lyrics and music videos of songs are projected for you to sing from; again, pretty standard for karaoke places. Sure, Hayward Karaoke Studio has all the latest hits as well as the oldies giving you tons of options to choose from when singing, but $60 for a two hour session in a small room that can really only fit two to three people seems a bit steep for a karaoke studio, and for that I probably will croon to some tunes at a different studio with cheaper rates. read more

Look, I know that I may not look like it, but im actually an amazing singer. Artist, if you will. When I jam out in my car I usually get irritated that someone like Alicia Keyes as a record deal when CLEARLY, my version of Girl on Fire is superior. Unfortunately, this has also become a problem when I went out to enjoy the ancient art of Karaoke. Once I take the stage, the Karaoke host of the evening usually cancels everyone else's songs and asks me for an impromptu concert. This makes half the bar mad, the other half absolutely thrilled to get to hear my stellar pipes for another couple of hours. Sometimes a guy just wants to hang out with his friends and not have to be bombarded with screaming fans begging for your autograph and pictures all night long, it gets old quick. Okay, lets be real. I know im not a great singer, I can carry a tune, but it ain't anything to write home about. I've done the normal karaoke in the bars with all sorts of strangers watching and listening, and it can be fun, but once you get into I hate having to wait for what seems like EVER for your name to come back around. Plus, I'm not always in the mood to be outgoing and let people listen to my less-than-mediocre singing. Here you get your own private room with a karaoke database with SO MANY SONGS. When my and my friend go here we have the best time.. seriously. I love hearing so many other groups singing their hearts out when I leave the room.. it makes me smile no matter how awful they are. I had such a good time here! A bunch of my brother's friends and I came here to celebrate his birthday. We were in room 7, which I assume is one of the biggest as there was 15 of us. It came out to being $10 per person for 2 hours. The atmosphere inside was great! Lotsa black lights and whatnot everywhere. Song selection was stacked... Even had tagalog and vietnamese lol. I liked that the binders can be looked at by artist or by song, and that current songs are constantly added on. Parking lot is a bit sketchy, but going with a big group makes it okay. Spell it with me: G-H-E-T-T-O! But strangely endearing :). The staff are friendly and basically let you spend your night however you want to and the freedom is a bonus. The building is spacious with small and large rooms in the back to suit your party size. I've been in the biggest room which fits 20+ people and I've been in the smallest room which fits about 5; the rooms are comfy and well-equipped. I have to give it to them, song selection is always current and updated and they have random Asian songs in there too. They embarrassingly record you while you sing (uploaded on a CD that's free upon checkout -- the first 60 mins only) and the machines and mics work fine. They let you bring in your own alcohol (save money!), drinks and food, which people abuse quite often. You will see drunk people run amuck, smoking outside, acting a fool etc, especially on Fridays and Saturdays. However, the pros outweigh the cons and it's just a cheap place ($5/hr pp for a large group) to get your sing on. Side note: it isn't very "safe-looking," becoming shadier at night so just be aware. They have happy hour occasionally which makes things even cheaper. End your night by popping the CD into your car on the way home and let the lolz begin :) read more

It's a little pricey but I felt throughly spoiled here compared to other karaoke joints I've been too. Loving the unintended kitschy quality of sea life and "ducks in flight" black-light posters. A fun time was had listening to my bestie belt out some Nicki Minaj and Lady Gaga. Her dude sang a country jam and an Alice Cooper tune, which blew the roof off our private room. We all cracked up listening to the complimentary cd of the first hour of out "jam" session, hehe. They also have some great classics too!! read more

A few friends planned a KARAOKE night, and made reservations here. Finding the place wasn't too difficult, since the sign is huge! Once we arrived, we called our friends, but they didn't pick up (most likely because they were belting out love songs). We asked the front desk if they saw "a large group of Filipinos" and he quickly directed us to one of the larger rooms down a hallway. Sidenote: They have a TV security monitoring room, so... you're being watched. EEEK! We found our friends, and we quickly sat down. The room itself was clean and neat, with enough lighting. The whale painting in the back was quite disturbing, but that's another story. Cool things: + you can bring FOOD + you can bring YOUR OWN DRINKS + the SONG BINDER is up to date with songs! Most recent adds on the top (added every month, I believe) Slightly uncool things: -remote is in Korean. Took a few tries to figure out how to queue songs -AZN central -kinda sketchy area -a lot of loitering I left somewhat early, but my boyfriend said that everyone paid about $13 (not too shabby for 3 hours of fun). Mind you that you will have to sneak in the beer in your purses or whatnot, but they don't give damn if you do :) The best part is that if you are bilingual like myself...you can choose from the Spanish songs as well. Good times were had in our little Korean brothel like room. I loved that we got our own disco ball and ginormous song binder. My main gripe is that the equipment wasn't working so well (mike and volume kept cutting out) and you really AREN'T allowed to bring food or drinks. I mean you can hide it in your bag initially but the owner will tell you No from the get-go. However.... he does seem to be kind of a push over and won't kick you out if you start boozing. (There are video cameras in each of the rooms.) It's $25 an hour. I recommend a group of 6 or more to get a good deal. I am not a major fan of karaoke but all in fun, 15 loud kids with mexican food from la pinata and alcohol equals to a loud night of fun on the first day of the year!! Came on a Friday night. It's $6/person/hour--at least it was tonight. I'm thinking prices change periodically, since the prices listed in the other reviews posted differ widely. We had a party of 14, and they gave us the VIP room, which is HUGE (complete with lasers, lounge sofas, tables, stage, two televisions.... pretty bomb)! Had a decent song selection...the equipment was a little bit janky but worked well enough. No outside food or drink allowed in here, which is fine because we just came from a dinner. Saw some complaints in the reviews regarding the no alcohol in the studio policy... but to be honest, that's a pretty standard policy I've seen at karaoke places. Just pre-game at your car or somewhere else. Be creative. The staff was pretty friendly. If you don't come to this part of Hayward, just keep in mind that the neighborhood is pretty janky and ghetto. This place is great! OK, it's not super fancy or anything; in fact, it's a little ghetto... However, it deserves 5-stars, because, first and foremost, the owners are awesome! They are very welcoming, friendly, accommodating... They've owned the place for over 2 decades and are the quintessential "mom and pop" of the business world. The song selection was great! We sang in Chinese, English and Spanish, with so many great options that we couldn't get through all the songs we wanted in the 2 hours there even with just 3 of us in the room. We only left because it was super late and some of us had to work in the morn: otherwise, we could have stayed 'til closing and not even realized how much time went by. The prices are fair and simple, too. They don't try to screw you with hidden fees (see review of Music Land KTV in Milpitas). They just offer a very fair price for very good service. They have sodas, juice and water in the lobby for purchase, and those prices are very reasonable too (e.g., $1 for a can of soda or bottle of water). And, as other Yelpers have mentioned, the icing on the cake is that they give you an audio CD of the first 1.5 hours or so of your time there! That made for some great entertainment after our visit :) It's recommended that you call ahead, because it does get busy. Props to them for being super considerate when we had to push back our reservation time, telling us it was no problem and that the room will be ready when we arrive. When we left, around 1 a.m., the owner called people who were waiting for a room to let them know one became available.
