Had a good take-out meal the other night. I was surprised to see the lack of stars since we last visited. I was a little nervous but our food did not disappoint. We had salad, fries, the cosmo, Perogi pizza, cheese curds, Mac and cheese and a Stromboli. The power went out due to a storm but everyone was on it from start to finish. The business was sold and the new owners are missing the mark to meet the quality of the original Haywood's in Muncy. The French fries were cold and were an extremely small portion. They were cold! Two of us ordered the "Willy" and it too was cold but is a "hot" sandwich and lacked any resemblance to what it once was. Also, according to the new owner, since mozzarella cheese is "to expensive" now ~ I had to pay an up charge for a cold ~ not melted piece of cheese on my "hot" sandwich. Neither of us enjoyed our food. I had water to drink and my friend had Pepsi. The bill was $39.00...we will never go back. Food was just ok. It used to be really good but has gone downhill. We went in for lunch midweek. It took more than 40 minutes for our food to come out. There were only two other occupied tables when we came in. The waitress never checked on us through other than when she finally brought our food out. We stopped at Haywood while working in the area. The restaurant is immaculate inside very clean. Our waitress was spot on the service was a 10 out of 10. The food was a 10 out of 10 the Haywood burger is delicious. Lots of flavor and huge almost enough for two meals. You don't find that at a restaurant anymore. lots of wing flavors to choose from the wings are just the right size not too small not too big no gristle. We also tried the peanut butter pie. Showed up around 1:20 for lunch. They close at 2, but there was no issue being seated. Service was attentive and friendly. Hubby had the burger with onion rings. Said it was good, nice and pink inside (Perfect!). Did not come with condiments or lettuce or tomato. He's not sure if it was listed like this on the menu:( He ordered the beer battered fries, which were not over coated. I had the portabella mushroom sandwich. This was a nice size portabella, just a tad bit smaller than the bun. It was stated on the menu that it had guacamole, which was thinly spread on the bun (would have been nice to have more). Haywood's has always been one of my favorite places to go. Every Thursday night during football season our football team would eat here and we always loved it! I loved the apps such as the fried cheese curds and deep fried pickles! The main course I always got was either a burger or chicken tenders/wings. I've had pretty good experiences so far. Mostly stop in for lunch. I've brought my son twice, and we both have had good meals. The brisket sandwich was very tasty and I enjoyed the cheesesteak I got the time before. They have a pretty nice selection of sandwiches. You sould say on the menu that the turkey is chunks of dark meat in all your turkey sandwiches. I have NEVER had any restaurants ever use dark meat in any turkey offering in my life. So many people do not like dark meat. Plus they must have charged me extra for sweet potato fries even though the waitress didn't mention it and gave me that choice as a side. We have been there many time and was always a favorite place to go when in the area but after tonight we will not be back. The menu change and so did the food. The food was barely warm when it came out and cold before it could be finished and tasted like it was out of a can far from what was like fresh home cooked food before. Hmm, I've been to Haywoods a few times for lunch while in the area for work, and have also had cocktails after work hours. All of my experiences have been great. Good food at a good price (think delicious American style bar food). They have a full bar at cheap prices and seem to usually be offering drink specials. The place also seems to never be empty which is a good sign. The only knock I have, which I think I may have listed in my "tip", is that the portions are MASSIVE. There is no way a normal human who consumes a normal amount of food could ever finish any of their plates (I struggle to eat half). I personally think it's a big waste, but some people may think of it as a "positive". The food prices are good, so why in the world wouldn't they cut the portion sizes down by 33%, to normal human sizes, and pocket the extra profit? Regardless of portion size, this is the best spot in Muncy, with Orlando's down the street coming in at second. read more

Awful! Waitstaff is miserable, food was horrible! Order a sandwich that came with fries. The Fries looked like they were refried and refried and refried. The sandwich on the other hand looked like it was good and tasted ok. Little did I know it would revisit my mouth in the middle of the night. Stomach hasn't been the same since! If your waitress is older and Uhm not pretty , watch out she's not cool . We went in as a group of 8 to order drinks while we signed a lease agreement . She became VERY VISABLY annoyed when we said we would order our meal 'after a while'. And then when we did begin ordering appitisers she again was visably annoyed we didn't order entrees YET. On Sunday 12/29/19 my wife and I along with our daughter and son in law had dinner. And I have to say that we didn't have good service at all. And we weren't the only party that did. We overheard a large party speaking with your bar manager about something that they weren't happy with and they requested to speak with Kim. But onto our experience. It took almost 20 minutes for someone just to take our drink order. Then probably another 10 minutes to get our drinks. The waitress claimed that the order didn't print to the bar. So my son in law ordered a grilled cheese and soup, when it came out the grilled cheese was obviously not cooked. You could tell the bun wasn't toasted and the cheese was clearly not even close to being melted. Now I must say we have eaten there plenty of times over the years and is the only time that we remember the service ever being bad. read more

We just came here with 4 friends for dinner. I ordered meat loaf. I wouldn't feed that mess to my dog!! It was disgusting! The gravy was in gross big chunks! So I told the waitress she came back n said we can either take 20% off your bill or charge you for the whole TABLESPOON of mashed potatoes and like 4 bites of corn! So I chose the corn n potatoes. The waitress gave me the totally wrong sandwich, which i didn't like at all, and told me 20 minutes later that she did so. This is probably one of my most favorite places to eat. I'm quite the food snob according to my friends so that may say a lot. Despite a few waitress issues the food has always been delicious. My review is based primarily on the food aspect of this establishment. Although there are a couple crappy waitresses most of them are great at their job. I have two favorites here. I suggest trying the buffalo chicken stix and the Alfredo pasta dish. The brew fries are also great! read more

Reason for a one star. I discovered bones in my turkey sandwich. I told the waitress. She took one back to the kitchen to confirm. She came back to tell me yes it was bones. Then told me sorry then left. After walking past my table 2 or 3 times she realized I stopped eating my sandwich. She the offered a dessert on the house. Listed off a half a dozen pies. I picked one. To have her come back to say they only had one kind of pie. Of course the type I don't like. Personally myself if I was in the waitresses shoe. To be honest, I haven't tried a whole lot on the menu, but with good reason. I go for the cheesesteaks, and sometimes I'll get the wings. Starting with the wings...I think the hottest level is suicide, which isn't all that hot. I'm pretty sure they just add extra hot sauce to the wings. The garlic hot is pretty good, not a whole lot of heat, but I do enjoy the flavor. They really pile the garlic on, and I'm always happy with that. They are cooked well also- overall, very good. The cheesesteaks are amazing. You won't get better cheesesteaks in the area. The rolls are fresh and I'm pretty sure they toast them on the griddle. The american cheese is basically melted into the meat, and it comes with fried onions and mushrooms, served piping hot. Great flavor with a soft roll but still crunchy from being toasted. The cheesesteaks are served with fresh thick cut fries. Sometimes they aren't fried far enough, but usually they're good, and sometimes they're perfect. For $10, most people usually get two meals. The portions are big enough that you can take half the sandwich and fries back and still be stuffed. The service is good, too, they are always refilling our drinks and making sure we have what we need. They're all really friendly, too. I would go there any day! read more

We were in a large party of 25. The room was very warm to the point of being uncomfortable. Several orders messed up. Tell waitress that that's wrong and she pull out her order sheet and tells you that not what you ordered. She wrote it wrong but tells you that you ordered it wrong. This happened to several in the party. They had one waitress for 25 people. read more
