This is a dog park that I frequently visit because of its size. There's always parking and they have a small dog section, big dog section and a mixed dog section. I love that you have that option of mixing or not. There isn't much grass so if it's a rainy day prepare for mud bc there's tons of dirt. Most people seem friendly and have control of their dogs. I haven't had any issues nor witnessed any so that's a plus. I've come across many friendly dog lovers/owners. Hardly any poop left which is great that everyone is good about picking up after their furry friends. There's even a track around the park that you can choose to walk instead. read more

Because my small dogs do not like big dogs, I love a dog park with the dog sizes separated. If they play with big dogs they inevitably get rolled and it scares them and that's not fun. At Hazeldale my boys can relax and run with dogs they're comfortable with. There's a big dog yard, a small dog yard, and a mixed size yard. The fenced areas are semi-grassy with picnic tables and there's a playground nearby. Plenty of parking here. read more

Best dog park in the Northwest area. It has 3 different sections that consist of small, big and mixed dogs. The park is designed more for the dogs than for the people. Nice running areas for the dogs to run or play fetch. They can dig in the dirt unlike at Hondo Dog Park. People are always friendly here. Plus the dog park is next to a play ground so the children can play as the dog is having fun. It is a win for the entire family. There is plenty of parking and only having to walk the dog across a public park to get the dog park area. read more

Hazeldale Dog Park is my favorite now. I have been there several times and my dogs love it. They have a large dog side, a small dog side, and a third area for everyone to play together. Every time I go there are always lots of dogs to play with. If you have children (I don't), there is also a playground within eyesight so they can play at the same time. read more

So glad I decided to bring my four month old, very energetic, puppy to Hazeldale Dog Park! We went Saturday and had a good experience so we came back Sunday as well, given I live pretty close. The park is, in my option, hidden gem tucked away in a residential neighborhood, but quite big! There was a handful of pups on Saturday around 11am. My pup loves to play and has endless energy even in comparison to other puppies. She's part husky so she loves to run and I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of space for the dog enclosures. And the trees, grass and picnic tables really make a difference both for dogs and their owners! My pup is also part Pomeranian so she's small so we utilized the small dog enclosure. She instantly made friends with a small corgi and they wrestled and ran around for a good while. Everyone is friendly there and it's nice to be around people who have dogs especially those who have experienced puppies and those who've had dogs a long time because it's nice to hear stories, advice and mostly the pep talk of, "oh that's normal puppy behavior," and, "she'll grow out of the energy someday!" There was a good mixture of dogs for her to meet but I'd say, full disclosure, it's good to know tour dogs, both strengths and weaknesses and be aware and alert for any aggressive behavior. I was not impressed with a very small dog that came in and was being very aggressive with mine, chasing (in a not playful way) and snarling at her. It scared my pup so she ended up hiding between my legs after that. The owner didn't seem concerned until I said I was leaving because she's scared now and isn't playing anymore. If your dog is known to be aggressive, maybe a leash initially while he/she is getting acquainted with the other dogs would be helpful. So to anyone coming, I would just ask as a respectful dog owner to please be mindful of that and know when your dog is the problem. IMPORTANT: The fountains are turned off in the park currently due to construction so bring water for your dog! I brought a water bottle yesterday but only had a small amount today thinking I'd refill at the park. Nope. My puppy had to go without until we made it back to the car. Unfortunately, I parked further away today down a side street to take advantage of the lovely walking trails around the park. Normally that would be fine and it's a nice walking paved path with tree coverage, but today not so much after she'd been sprinting around the dog park. My partner and I will be bringing her back here frequently. It's just too convenient, well maintained, energy draining and socialization training to pass up. read more

Going here is very much a hit or miss with my dog. A lot of people have their dogs unleashed who aren't trained or friendly dogs. When they approach my 10 month puppy he clearly gets very frightened. Has he already suffers from a lot of anxiety being a smaller dog this does not help. Despite all of that He loves going to this park because there is three sectionals where you're allowed to actually have your dog leash list and there's an area where they can drink water as well and they have kitty pools for the hot days! One side is for small dogs, other side is for big dogs, and there is a middle which is for all dogs! They also do provide water fountains for your doggie. They recently renovated they're playground and from what I see kids love it. There is also a trail you could follow and it is a very nice walk. read more

This place is nice because it has three separate pens- large dog, small dog, and mixed. The water spigot in the large dog pen was broken, but some other nice people had filled water containers for the pups to drink. There are lots of trees. There are some tables for sitting. There is a nice walking trail around the park. There is a playground for children. There is some interesting metal art. There are port-a-potties (which REALLY need to be emptied). Overall a nice place. I'd go back. read more

This park was okay. I prefer another one that is closer to my house because it is better kept up. This one is very depleted of grass and when it rains, we have to wash my dog off both at the park and at home. It was fine but I won't be going back here as long as Hondo is well maintained. read more

3.5 STARS Another dog park in the 'burbs! I heard about Hazeldale's off-leash dog park and went to check out the venue on a warm sunny weekend. Located in SW Beaverton (more near the city of Aloha), the park is hidden within a neighborhood. I was driving down SW Farmington and turned right onto SW 192nd. There is an entrance to the Hazeldale's parking lot on SW 192nd and Prospect. It was a bit difficult to find the place. When I got there, there's a large field so people can play soccer/football. There's also a basketball court and a set of swings for children to play. Towards the south side of the park is their off-leash doggie area. My 3 year-old min pin was excited to visit a new park. My first visit here happened to be their annual "Dog's Day Out Festival" where they had a lot of vendors giving away a lot of swag for the little pups. There were a bunch of doggies available for my dog to mingle with. What was cool is that they offered doggie snow cones! It was pretty much shaved ice with chicken broth or beef broth (you choose flavor for your pooch). Each snow cone was $1. My dog only ate 50 cents worth and got tired of it. Not sure if he liked it or not but it was something refreshing for him since it was quite hot. The fence to the dog park seems a bit run down. But I like how the park is run by the community and they have great support for our little furry friends. The park has mostly dirt and some grassy areas. There are a lot of trees as well. It's not as modern as Hondo Dog Park in Hillsboro, but it's a decent place to go. They do have doggie poopie bags and trash bags as well. I wouldn't mind bringing my min pin here again, it seems like a nice place for him to frolic around! read more

I've taken my dog here a number of times over the course of the last year. We've never had a bad experience until this past Saturday afternoon. I was playing fetch with my dog when he his hind leg fell into a deep hole dug by another dog. He suffered an immediate rupture of his cranial cruciate ligament and is now completely unable to use one of his back legs and he is in terrible discomfort. Our vet has referred us to a veterinary orthopedist and the preliminary estimate is $3800. I have no way to pay for his surgery and am now at my wits end about how to help my poor dog. BE CAREFUL allowing your dogs to run around at this park. Watch out for minefields dug into the ground. AND PLEASE do not allow your dog to dig here! read more

I went on a road trip recently through OR and WA and back. I checked out a lot of different dog parks throughout the trip, and this was hands down the best one. It seems that most people in WA like to let their tiny dogs run around with big dogs at the parks and don't see a problem with it. That's all well and good, but working in animal control I see a lot of the horror stories involving prey drive. My small dog gets along well with most big dogs in but a large group of them is pretty overwhelming to her. The first park I went to in WA was fully mixed, and had no gates. My dog got scared and almost ran away from me twice when big dogs ran up to smell her. The next two had small dog areas but you had to walk through the big dog area to get to them. Wtf? In contrast, Hazeldale park is extremely well designed. It has 3 large areas of play, one clearly marked for big dogs, one for small dogs, and a third for mixed sizes. The grass and trees are well maintained, unlike one park I went to that was full of weeds and thick brush. All play areas are pretty equally sized, with separate entrances, and even a "you must be this tall/short to play" type sign on each gate. My dog was comfortable and had lots of room to run around, relieve herself, and sniff all the trees. awesome. read more

Sometimes you have a dog on your hands that no matter how many times you throw the ball, it never tires. Solution? Hazeldale Dog Park. This dog park is awesome. There are bags and balls actually already there. Next time I go I will be bringing a toy to donate and I suggest you do too because seriously, how many dog parks have toys lying around? None. I love that there are three areas for the dogs; big, little & mixed. For our first dog park foray were cautious and did the little dog space but my canine charge is quite energetic and outran all of the other little ones. Next time, we are graduating to the mixed size dog area and perhaps I'll be able to tire him out in under an hour! An amazing spot that I without question will be visiting again soon! read more

This is the perfect dog park. I have a little 13 pound rat terrier who is terrified of dogs any bigger than him. They have a nice section that is just for small dogs with plenty of room for him to run around with other dogs his size. We usually go on Sundays and there are always lots of people there. They have everything you need: water dishes/water station, balls, poop bags, and even agility equipment. read more

I totally understand it is maintained by volunteers. But shouldn't the city maintain it? It is an awesome area to take the puppy to go run around at but in the winter, the grounds are so muddy. There should be bark laid down in the open area so the dogs do not get muddy. It was nice that when we arrived that no dogs was there, but it is sad that no dogs was there. I just wish there is a better maintenance at this park, and I wish Tualatin Parks and Recreation should take over the maintenance so it can be up to par with the rest of the parks. read more

This dog park was clean, had fresh water available for the dogs, well drained so there wasn't a lot of mud and a good supply of pooper scooper bags. There is a couple of picnic tables for the humans and lots of trees . Loved the sections for small dogs, large dogs and all dogs. Lots of space to throw balls and for dogs to play freely. When I went this time, there was only one trash can in the big dog area, which was a little annoying. We've been here before, we love it. Seems to be populated with polite dogs and their humans. read more

Excellent dog park! Three clearly marked sections for small, large, and mixed size dogs. My herding dog had a ball running and exploring the big dog section. Well maintained, large play areas. However if I had a smaller dog, I would avoid the small dog section. The times we have gone there have been 25+ dogs, not necessarily a bad thing but it was enough to overwhelm even the most patient, well socialized dogs at times. So I would just exercise caution there. In general the owners were pretty responsible. Overall, very pleased! We will continue to attend on nice days until we move to a different area. read more

We love this dog park because it is so huge. There's separate areas for small dogs, large dogs, then an all sizes section. Our dog is a sweetie, but she's a little dumb, which is why we're trying to socialize her. We like taking her to the small dog section first so she gets a little tired. Then, we'll take her to the all sizes section after she's ran around a bit & has some manners. There's several sitting areas, shade, water dishes, poop bags. I've never noticed anyone not picking up after their dog on purpose. Sometimes they might be distracted talking to other owners & don't notice their dog pooped. No biggie, just politely tell em their dog pooped over there. We're grown ups right? This place is well maintained & we enjoy it very much. Thank you to those who take care of it! read more

I've come to this park on several different occasions lately, and it's been great. My dogs like to tell other dogs off when they are on leashes, but if the situation is right (they're off leash and on neutral ground), they enjoy socializing. Today I arrived at 11:30AM, it was raining, and no one was there. I let my dog fetch her frisbee until she was good and tired. Last time I came there were 4 other people and they were all there with very energetic, young dogs. All the dogs got along okay and one of them provided some entertainment by splashing and rolling in a mud puddle. The time before that, I had both my dogs and while I was watching my more active dog closely and making sure she wasn't overwhelming anyone, my older dog was off doing her own thing. Someone asked me discreetly, "Is that your dog?" and I turned around to see the older dog doing something that required me to clean up after her. I like it when people watch out for each other and make sure the park stays clean. There was one time I came here, a few years ago, that stuck out in my memory as a reason to not come back. A couple was at the park with their very large, powerful dog that was going around the park with something to prove. This dog would approach the other dogs and get very stiff, stare, and generally try to intimidate. He greeted each newly entering dog by growling and body blocking the dog from entering. This dog's owners did not seem to be concerned, in fact they were more busy chatting than watching their dog. At one point a new intact male dog entered and the macho dog chased him around, eventually pinning him to the ground, snarling and biting his neck until his owners finally came and put his leash on. Once they had done that, they turned around and told their friends, "Well, I guess we better go.......we'll see you tomorrow!" The idea that this dog would be there daily, terrorizing all the other dogs really worried me. Luckily, that was the last time I saw him there! read more

This is a really nice park for being maintained by volunteers. Personally I wish there was more grass and less wood chips. My puppy always wants to eat the wood chips which makes it kind of dangerous for him. There is water available for the dogs and tennis balls all over the place. It has 3 sections for different size dogs, which is great. Everyone has been very respectful and responsible with their dogs so far! read more

I love this dog park! Everyone is so polite and respectful, and they have sections based on dog size. My Muffin Top loves the small doggy area as she gets tired of being harassed by big dogs. Plus the little dog section has some of the nicest owners and dogs. We take our Muffin Top here almost every weekend and she has the most fun with all her buddies. It's kept clean and the small dog owners regularly chip in and provide toys, tennis balls and puppy pools. read more

Great dog park! This dog park has three areas: small dogs, large dogs, and mixed. There are dog bags, water bowls, beches and shade. Bring your boots in the winter and fall, it gets a bit muddy. I like this park more then Hondo because there are less dogs to contend with. It can be difficult to find. If you are are Farmington, turn on 192nd. There will be signs that then lead you to the park after that. read more

Love this park. It has a small dog area and large dog area, there is places for your kids and family to have fun too. It is really muddy in the winter, but hey, this is Oregon right? Everyone there was super nice. My dog had a great time and so did I. I even brought my son with me and he loved being around all the friendly fun dogs. Great place to take your loved dog. this is a great dog park, only minutes from us in Beaverton - take our dogs there all the time, the 11 year old AND the 1 year old! sorry about the accident that happened when the dog fell into a hole, but you cannot blame the dog park for that, but it was a good warning...I have seen the same people there a few times, everyone is responsible. Great dog park with 3 sections for different size dogs. The people that bring their dogs to this park are so friendly. The only downside is it's a little dusty. Especially on those hot days and the dogs are running around kicking up dust. Blah! read more
