Blue Bird Lavender Martini and Hot Honey Old Fashioned
    Zac E.

We came to Hazies for a post mountain drink and were ecstatic with the service and the drinks! I'd highly recommend the Hot Honey Old Fashioned, but do not, I repeat, do not leave without trying the Blue Bird Lavender Martini. Hands down, this was the best drink we had in all of Steamboat during our entire vacation. Shoutout to Lindsey for great service and Hazies has the best views from the top of the mountain. Check them out now!

We ate at Hazie's while skiing Steamboat Mountain. It's located at the top of the Gondola lift. It has great views of the mountain and a nice menu. We ordered the Duck Wings, Lamb Meatballs, and Mushroom Fondue. All were delicious. Kudos on the Duck Wings and Fondue. Amazing! We also ordered the Lobster Bisque. It's a bit different than we are used to, as it's more like a gravy than a bisque. We limited our dining to just apps as we still had a ton of skiing to do after dining. Service was excellent. All in all a great experience! RECOMMENDED

Expect waiting for the Gondola in Long lines. We arrived at 4:50 and it was an hour wait and more then 300 deep. We didn't realize there was an entrance for Hazel guests!!!! It was super hot waiting out in the full sun in the summer. No ac in the gondola and no fans. My mom almost passed out. Once we got to the top we checked out the third floor happy hour and it was hot (no ac) and crowded. We realized our reservation at Hazie's allowed for no wait lines and free gondola trip. Plus their bar is much quieter and relaxing. Wish we had known that before paying for the other gondola ride and waiting forever in line. Best tip- So you can just Drink at Hazie's bar and have apps and skip the line!!! Be aware there's no AC so it's not as cold as we would've liked. The windows and the view are beautiful but there are several windows where they didn't get shades so the sun was blazing on our table. The restrooms ate down a floor so be prepared for stairs. We made dinner reservations and had drinks in the bar. Kristin the bar tender was welcoming and warm and friendly. The general dining menu is pre-fixe but does allow for kids at a reduced cost. Sarah was a great waitress. Staff supported the bread and drinks as able. The manager/assist Sara was a big help with bar and food runs. Caesar salad needed more dressing or bacon/Parm toppings. It was lack luster. Emerald mountain martini was awesome. We also enjoyed several Old fashioned. The Elk steaks were OK. Iatbe shouldn't have strayed from traditional beef. They exerts were pretty good. But we don't eat that much so this was way too much food for us.

All the staff at Hazie's went above and beyond! From the hostess, to the manager and especially Shelly (the best bartender) We came in for NYE and they made the night perfect! Go and see Shelly, she makes the best cocktails!!

We stopped in for lunch on a snowy day. We did not have a reservation but it was only about a 15 min wait for a table for two. The hostess updated me often with what was going on with the table we were getting. There is a bar to the right and a small seating area to the left (past the salad bar). There was also a loft area for seating but I think that is only used for dinner. There are great views from every table. Once seated, it took a little bit of time for our waitress to arrive at our table. She apologized for our wait when she arrived. We had a voucher for two free glasses of champagne so we decided to use them. She returned with the champagne and warm bread (both were delicious). I opted for the "Waldorf Chicken Salad" while my fiance had the "Chicken Shepard's Pie." I was shocked at the amount of food my lunch had. The plate was overflowing! My fiance said his was just the right amount for lunch and a day headed back to the slopes. I was only able to eat half of my sandwich along with the meat from the second half, a few sweet potato chips (this made me sad as they were very good) and my fruit. The desserts sounded very tempting but there just wasn't any room left. Good food, good views, nice service and rather decently priced for the amount of food you get. We will most likely be stopping back in during our next trip!

Nice place on the Mountain for Lunch or to take the Gondola for Evening Dinner. I stop about once a month for a bowl of soup and a Jasper (local name for an Arnold Palmer). The staff is top notch and the ambiance is a step up from the Stoker Bar immediately below. I visit Hazie's to relax after a hard morning powder day but most of the time it is either the Food Court at Thunderhead or Rendezvous, The Deck at either place on a Blue Bird Day or just ski to the bottom for home or maybe Slopeside.

Had literally one of the worst meals of my life here. Bad service which starts at reception and ends with deaf management. Avoid 100%.

I've…read moretried so hard to like them, it's always "we'll give them one more shot" (because they're the only place on the West side of town) but their last shot has been taken and each time has been nothing but disappointment and frustration. Tourists flock for the cheapest hotel rates in Steamboat, and that's the only thing keeping this Harison's alive. Harison's decided to hike the pricing up on their menu which is absolutely absurd as they were already too expensive for their poorly cooked food anyways. My husband ordered a steak that was 45% fat for $60. If you're going to spend that much do yourself a favor and go to E3 or the Ore House for a REAL cut of meat. The cheese curds came in a pile of oil which was disgusting. We had an awkward bald guy who kept chiming into our conversation about our cars, when all he had to offer was his video game experience. As for our "we'll give them one more shot" we made sure to not sit at the bar again so we could have our own conversations without entertaining the bartender that doesn't know how to take a hint or take a hike out of our conversation. The short woman with blackish teeth couldn't wait to show us the igloos in the back. I felt bad but it looks like they came from Temu. The heaters don't even heat them properly. $85 for a freezing cold experience is one I can have in my own backyard. Another Harison's flop. I really want to like Harison's. I grew up going to the back patio of Rex's with my family and it truly is an understatement on how much this place has changed, and continues to change only for the worse. I would love to do the same with my children and let them run around the back patio as I used to do as a kid and dance to music, but until there's massive change there's no point. This place just can't get its energy back because the hotel doesn't know how to staff up here. Granted, with the current staff it's going to stay a zero instead of going hero. Waiting for your food for over an hour because they're constantly understaffed isn't an answer anymore. Do something about it. We're a small ski town with a local vibe. Doesn't get anymore anti-local vibe than this place. Locals don't go because we know better, unless we're giving them that "one more shot" because we're too lazy to drive into town. We as a town are awaiting this businesses demise because we deserve better. Do yourself and the town of Steamboat a favor, give your business elsewhere. And to the hotel and Harison's, give us our patio back!!!!!

If you're expecting standard hotel restaurant fare, prepare to be blown away. Despite having amazing food, improving service is the biggest challenge Harison's faces on their way to greatness. We arrived on Saturday with a reservation to find only three people working the entire restaurant. Bartender, chef, waiter, hostess, manager....everyone was everything and no one was anything. After being seated, it took 14minutes to receive a drink order, 45 minutes to receive an appetizer, 57 minutes to receive main entree, and 1hour 43 minutes to receive a check. There were some items missing but trying to flag anyone down was an exercise in futility. We didn't feel welcomed, we felt like a liability. Let me reiterate, the food here is amazing. One of the best green chili breakfast burritos I have ever had. If Harison's reinvents their service culture, it will be unstoppable.

We ended up splitting some soups (get the tomato crab), the beet salad, and the Market Fish (salmon) on a bed of cous cous and red cabbage. It was very nice that they split all the dishes for us. Small restaurant that has been around since the 1990s. My partner enjoyed his sommeliers choice wine Complementary bread (2 small pieces) with olive oil and olives. Pretty good Tomato and crab bisque (shared) was super rich creamy and delicious The duck breast was meh for me. Meat was fine but the rest of it all together was off The venison short loin (red elk) was amazing. It was cooked perfectly- rare to medium rare. Mashed potatoes were good. Asparagus was just ok Crème brûlée was also super delicious. The vanilla bean inside was great We were ready to come back on our last night to order the venison again before we drove back home 3 hours bc the food was so good My biggest complaint and why I dropped two stars were the services. the server was super nice and attentive at the start. But once we finished the entree, he spent most of the time chatting with the table across from us. We heard the whole convo as we were waiting for him to remove our plates and bring us the dessert menu. It was 8pm and he only had two tables left: Our table and the other table. He chatted with the other table about furbo and ring cameras for their pets for a very long time. Maybe ten minutes later he took our plate and said he'd bring the dessert menu. Then he brought them wine , chatted with them for a bit about growing up in steamboat and the neighbors and then he eventually brought our dessert menu. Then while we were eating dessert, chatted with them for another good 20 minutes without even looking at us. We just wanted the check but my partner didn't want to be rude and interrupt him. By 9pm we got tired of waiting and we got up, put our coats on and walked to the front to try to pay at the front. That's when he came over. No apology, just said oh you want to pay? Charged our card and gave us the receipt to sign. We noticed he over charged us. He was already back chatting with the other couple and my partner didn't want to interrupt him so then I went to go ask another employee for help which then got the servers attention and he came over. Then we waited like 10 minutes until he was able to refund and recharge the correct amount. We had just driven 3 hours after having a medical emergency all morning and almost cancelled our trip. We had an absolutely heart wrenching day with the news we received from the doctor. But we decided to move forward with the trip and just have a nice dinner as we recovered for our first night. So while the food was good, this was not a pleasant ending to our already terrifying day. Pay attention to ALL of your customers! Not just the ones who are clearly wealthy and keep ordering more glasses of wine. I am updating the review 06/09 because in the end, the restaurant made it right.

Mocktails on the happy hour menu! Thank you!…read more We've been here on a few occasions, but for this visit, we came for social hour and there are a few things we were really impressed about with the social hour menu. The number one thing that really impressed us was the mocktail of the day that they had on the social hour menu! As non drinkers, we often comment on the lack of mocktail options on happy hour menus so we were extremely pleased to see this as an option. Not only that, the drink offered tonight was well crafted and delicious: a sparking, tea-based, citrus drink that was refreshing and well thought out. Another special touch is the addition of two dessert options on the social hour menu as well! While we love coming here for dinner, Primrose has moved to the top of our list for Happy Hour due to the Mocktail option, the delicious food choices (we loved the brussel sprouts and the steak tar-paccio.), and dessert in the social hour menu. Service is friendly but not stuffy or pretentious. We will definitely be back for both dinner and happy hour!

Took about an hour to get our food, so that could be improved. The burger was delicious, as was everything else we ordered (salad was ok). Ordered 2 of the desserts, the peanut butter one was really good. The chocolate brownie had too much cinnamon for us, but the Dulce ice cream was really good. Our waiter was fine, however the woman refilling water was quite pretentious, wouldn't look at us, or respond in any way, it was an odd experience and unfortunately even though the food was good, this is what I remember most.
