Walked in as a group of 5 and didn't feel welcomed from the hostesses, however the server made our experience great. The food was delicious! The restaurant wasn't too busy on a Saturday night in December close to 8:30pm. It was a bit of a wait from when we got our oysters to the rest of our entrees (~20 mins). Overall, would come back from the quality of food!

One of the best steaks I've had in a while! I absolutely loved the mac and cheese. It was perfect and not overly buttery. I had the filet mignon, and my husband had the bison. The ambiance is cozy, and the service is great.

My food was amazing and the server was really friendly and attentive. We had a larger party and she fully accommodated us! There were mixed reviews on the food. I enjoyed my salmon Caesar and the truffle fries were spectacular. I tried a few bites of the lobster bisque and thought it was good as well. A friend ordered the steak and said it was cooked to perfection but lacked any flavor at all. The steak had no seasoning, she said even with the truffle butter, it didn't make it any better.

Had the ribeye, crab cakes and all you can eat crab on Monday. Service and food were excellent and the crab is a good value at only $44 / person. The steak is from the owners ranch and you can taste the difference!

Stopped in just for a happy hour drink and got a great spot to enjoy it by the river. The scenery was amazing! There is a nice patio with multiple tables and chairs to dine at, fireplaces, and cute bright red Adirondack chairs to sit in and enjoy the river view. We did not try any of the food but the food I saw being served looked quite good and smelled delicious!

One of the great things about Steamboat Springs is that most places have Happy Hour. So...we went Happy Hour Hopping! But when you're my age, it's not the same as being 21 and going bar hopping. It's more like find a nice place with good ambiance that has "some" deals...even $2 off counts...LOL E3 Chophouse has a very pleasant area along the river (Yampa/Yamba? I should probably Google it first). I went with the Old Fashioned since it's a standard cocktail that most bars should be good at making. And this place does a good job. The setting near the river is very relaxing, with nice tables and a couple of wooden chairs looking out into the water. We didn't order any food, but we checked out the other tables, and the food looked good. Something to look forward to when we go back to Steamboat.

E3 was THE perfect spot for a bachelor party formal dinner for a good friend of mine! We were provided a private room where we could indulge in a variety of quality wines and cocktails, laugh, and enjoy one another's company during such a momentous occasion without interrupting other patrons. Our server was funny yet professional, and ensured we had a great time. The baseball florentine will go down as one of my favorite steaks. Cooked just right at medium rare topped with a creamy bérnaise sauce and king crab, I'm still dreaming of it. The flavor just exploded with each bite. The sautéed spinach en croute was a great side and balancer - fresh and vibrant, and warm and fluffy. I will note there could have been a couple of more bites of king crab, but the sheer delectability of the plate is surely the main point here. Thanks E3 for making my close friend's bachelor party dinner one for the books!

The delicatessens in the city are scrappy, endlessly interesting epicurean melting pots with flavors often represented from around the world. SM&S is exactly like this with yummy food specialties around the store from seafood, meats, cheeses, seedy crackers, freshly made pastas & sauces to go, soups, etc. And YES, the sandwiches are the star of the show! I've been regularly going to the Boat since the mid-90s after moving here from New York, and I was psyched to find a "real" deli serving up ultra-thinly sliced best-in-class Boars Head cold cuts. Plus, the bread is just right with a bit of delicious doughiness & chew to the texture, NOT like some other more popular main street sandwich shops where the bread is soullessly airy & fluffy, and covered in wildly inappropriate sesame seeds. Service has ALWAYS been friendly to me and my party, but I'll say that if you're looking for fake, over-the-top fain, then look elsewhere. These are real people, making real sandwiches, that are real delicious. Really!!!

The Owner, Collin, was at the check-in stand and overheard our conversation asking about wait times as it was a busy Saturday night. He graciously created availability for our family. The food, atmosphere, and service were tremendous. It is low-key one of the best restaurants we have visited while on ANY vacation. The serving sizes were ample and filling. We dined on the brussel sprouts, pork chop, chicken fried steak, Caesar salad, hamburger, and baked chicken. Each dish had a southern flair full of flavor and confidence. Pro tip: the blue cheese stuffed olives were large, oily, and flavorful. Best olive I've eaten. Pro tip 2: if you like pimento cheese, find a way to get a small serving. It comes on the burger and is out of this world good. Our server, Dragon, was outstanding. He was great in answering questions about the menu, substituting any food concerns, and let us enjoy our dinner without being pushy or inattentive. Collin - Thank you for an incredible meal and creating a special experience for my family and many, many others. I wish you continued success.

We were seated right away with no reservation (on a Tuesday evening around 7:30 pm); I imagine reservations probably come in handy. We started with a bottle of wine - the wine list had a wide range of bottles priced lower to your more expensive bottle; we chose one in the middle range (super Tuscan) and it was very tasty. Reviews on food: Calamari: I really enjoyed the calamari! It was lightly battered but had just enough crunch. The flavor was great. They even had lemon wedges and pepperoncini fried in with the calamari which I loved. Cesar salad: I forgot to snag a picture of the salad, and it also happened to be my least favorite item we ordered. The dressing was overly sweet for my liking and did not have your standard Cesar flavoring. I wish I would have asked more about the dressing to understand it a little better. I probably would not order this salad again. Eggplant parmigiano: this was sooooo good! The eggplant was breaded and cooked perfectly. I could have just eaten the eggplant it was so tasty. Highly recommend!! Tagliatelle bolognese: I am a huge sucker for bolognese, so I usually judge this sauce pretty tough. This. Was. De. Licious!!! The meat sauce was full of flavors and the noodles were cooked perfectly. I was impressed! Butterscotch budino: perfect way to end our meal. I'm a huge fan of butterscotch flavored desserts and this did not disappoint. It was light and not too heavy after a meal of pasta. The thick layer caramel on top was delicious. The portions were big in my opinion, so while prices were a little high, I thought we got our moneys worth of food. Our server (and others that came to the table) were all super kind and helpful. It does get very loud in the restaurant, so had the weather been nice enough to eat outside, I probably would have chose the patio seating. Overall this was a great meal! 5 starts for the scrumptious food, portion size, and service.

The Beef Short Rib Anticucho was the star of the meal, at least for me, I honestly wanted more because it was so good! The salad was also delicious and, while definitely more apple-heavy than greens, they were happy to accommodate my request for extra greens. My only criticism is that the menu doesn't mention the compressed watermelon in the gazpacho is infused with sangria. As someone who no longer drinks alcohol, I could definitely taste it and wish that had been disclosed on the menu. Overall, Besame remains one of my favorite spots in Steamboat. We ordered about 10 different toppers for the table, so it was pretty good odds to find a couple that weren't winners, but I have to be honest. The ambience is so cute, very swanky, but anything in Colorado still feels casual because everyone shows up in flannels and T-shirts. We had a 5 o'clock reservation and were sat right on time, and the service was really great. I started with a Pisco sour, one of my favorite drinks and really uncommon to find in this part of the world. It was delicious. I could've drank five of them. We shared a bunch of tapas for the table, starting with the patatas bravas, octopus, ceviche, duck wings, yuca frita, croquetas, gyozas, and shishito peppers. The clear winner was the ceviche - not your typical Peruvian style, made with salmon and a thicker aji amarillo sauce. It was absolutely amazing and served with these yummy plantain chips that paired so well with it. Those were also a big standout. The texture was perfect both outside and inside. I liked the octopus too, and the patatas bravas were good but felt they could have been a little more crispy on the outside and had the sauce more well-distributed. The wings really were not memorable, overly breaded and thickly sauced. The yuca was the biggest letdown of the night, usually one of my favorite dishes, but these tasted like they came frozen from a bag and did not even finish microwaving before they were served. Still, I loved some of these dishes so much that I would definitely come back and stick with what I liked and try some new things too. Thanks!
