Cheese pizza

My husband and I stayed at a hotel next door and decided to grab a quick dinner at Harrison's. Tip: staying at the hotel next door gives you 10% off at the restaurant! We got seated right away. The service was a little slow and they weren't that busy but it was still good service. The food was decent. Not the best food I've ever had but it was good. We ate at this restaurant years ago and it has undergone a renovation since the last time we ate here and the result is beautiful. The decor and colors are really pretty. Overall I would give it a 3.5. Decent place to eat if you're looking for a meal but not super memorable.

Nice happy hour menu. Limited tho!! But great drink prices

Came here for our first lunch in Steam Boat Springs. It's connected to the Holiday Inn. In the front they have a sports type bar area for watching games and drinking and hanging with friends. But in the back they have more of a restaurant feel with tables and booths. They have happy hour daily (even on Sundays) from 3pm to 6pm. Then, when we were leaving, someone was setting up for live music. The happy hour menu was pretty good. We got their dry rub chicken wings as well as their artichoke dip. The wings were good. Crispy outside. Great flavors. Juicy insides. We got their dry rub as well as Buffalo sauce. They were good. Also, the artichoke dip was really good. The cheese pull was ridiculous. And lots of large artichokes pieces. Chips were nice and sturdy, not that flaky stuff. It stood up to a lot of artichoke dip being put on it. For Entree, I ordered their 8 in happy hour Mortadella pizza. Which contains pistachios, garlic, and parmesan. Extremely oily. Taste was lacking. Thin crust. My buddy got the pepperoni pizza, and it was even more oily. Service took a really long time. We were the only table in the dining room area for our entire dinner. Took forever for our entrees to be ordered and for them to come out. Thankfully, the apps came out quicker and helped satisfy our hunger pangs. Our waitress was really nice. Have connections to California. So that was cool. Super friendly. Didn't really know the menu too well, tho. Buy I did learn though what a well drink is. It's the house liquor. So, like mixed drinks (whiskey and cola, gin or vodka and tonic, etc.), but whatever their house liquor is. I had a whiskey and cola. It was pretty heavy-handed in the alcohol department, but that's cool, too, considering it was only $5!!! Someone ordered a well-done burger. Came out medium rare. All pink on the inside. They comped that meal as well as a soup that she had ordered. So that's cool. Looks like a new establishment. May still be working out the kinks. But for our first lunch/dinner in Steam Boat, it was nice.

Beer was cold and the burgers were pretty good. Could have been a little bigger burger patty but good overall. Friendly service.

Good food, they offer a wide variety of items. We sat at the bar, good selection of beers, good for watching games. Nice staff.

Food was fine but there just isn't enough staff to support the number of customers. The time to get our food took a really long time.

Service was very good. Food was good but the whipped potatoes were a little tangy first me.... Maybe too much sour cream.

After my first one I had to use an entire cloth napkin to clean it off my hands, and then asked for another one. When I got to the 2nd taco it was falling apart because of the mayo tsunami, I used my 2nd napkin to cleanup from this one. Then I started on number 3 there was no way to pick it up, had to use knife and fork. The Bistro Steak My wife enjoyed the seasoning, and the potatoes and veggie, she had 2 pieces left and she gave me one. One side was well done the other was rare, She ordered medium. I don't know how you could cook a 1 inch steak rare on one side and well done on the other. I didn't eat it. Finally the desert, it was really good, large cookie with ice cream - excellent. We also had coffees with desert and it was one of the better coffee's I have had in a long time. A little better quality control would have made this a great dinner

This visit, we ordered the Watermelon Gazpacho (GF), Beef Short Rib Anticucho (GF), and Ensalada de Manzana y Manchego (GF). The Beef Short Rib Anticucho was the star of the meal, at least for me, I honestly wanted more because it was so good! The salad was also delicious and, while definitely more apple-heavy than greens, they were happy to accommodate my request for extra greens. My only criticism is that the menu doesn't mention the compressed watermelon in the gazpacho is infused with sangria. As someone who no longer drinks alcohol, I could definitely taste it and wish that had been disclosed on the menu. Overall, Besame remains one of my favorite spots in Steamboat. Consistently great food, great service, and always a solid dining experience.

We ordered about 10 different toppers for the table, so it was pretty good odds to find a couple that weren't winners, but I have to be honest. The ambience is so cute, very swanky, but anything in Colorado still feels casual because everyone shows up in flannels and T-shirts. We had a 5 o'clock reservation and were sat right on time, and the service was really great. I started with a Pisco sour, one of my favorite drinks and really uncommon to find in this part of the world. It was delicious. I could've drank five of them. We shared a bunch of tapas for the table, starting with the patatas bravas, octopus, ceviche, duck wings, yuca frita, croquetas, gyozas, and shishito peppers. The clear winner was the ceviche - not your typical Peruvian style, made with salmon and a thicker aji amarillo sauce. It was absolutely amazing and served with these yummy plantain chips that paired so well with it. Those were also a big standout. The texture was perfect both outside and inside. I liked the octopus too, and the patatas bravas were good but felt they could have been a little more crispy on the outside and had the sauce more well-distributed. The wings really were not memorable, overly breaded and thickly sauced. The yuca was the biggest letdown of the night, usually one of my favorite dishes, but these tasted like they came frozen from a bag and did not even finish microwaving before they were served. Still, I loved some of these dishes so much that I would definitely come back and stick with what I liked and try some new things too. Thanks!

The bar area with the TV seems a little out of place, but I like sports so I'm good with it. The staff were incredibly, incredibly knowledgeable about their food. Most knowledgeable waitress I've probably ever encountered. We ordered the Wild Mushroom Arancini and Whipped Feta & Bruschetta for the table and together they were the perfect appetizer for four people. I'm usually not a fan of wild mushrooms, but it worked well with the crispy arancini. The whipped feta & bruschetta was a nice cooling change of pace, but I wish they gave you a couple more bread bits. For an entree I went with the interesting pork cheeks. They are literally pig cheeks, like the cheeks from their face. And I absolutely loved them! They reminded me a bit of chicharrones, but softer. They were supposed to be sriracha based, but I barely tasted sriracha, so that left me wanting more. The broccolini made up for it, but that's because broccoli/lini makes everything better. Definitely make this a stop when you're in Steamboat Springs.

They…read morewere pretty busy, but we made a reservation earlier in the day after finishing skiing so we had a table. It took pretty long for them to greet us or bring anything out after we ordered it - I'm talking 40 minutes for our meals, and our server Sam was a little sassy but I'm sure it was just the product of an overwhelming shift. We shared a bunch of stuff for the table, the large steak chimichurri, the burrata, tomato salad, the truffle fries, the kale beet salad, the mac & cheese, and the soup of the day which was truffle mushroom. The stuff was pretty good, I loved the tomato burrata. When I ordered the soup, I asked if it came with any bread or crackers, and he said no, but that he could add in some of the crostinis for me. He ended up charging me several dollars for those later, which I discovered on the bill. That didn't feel right, but whatever. The fries were yummy, the steak was OK and the chimichurri was not even real chimichurri - for $80 for one steak i was hoping for a little bit better experience there. The other dishes were good, but nothing was super memorable here, they did mention that their lunch menu was more well-known and that we should try that, which some of the group did go back the next day and said that it was a much better meal. I know that this is on property at a ski resort and that I never expected prices to be super reasonable, but I was a little bit disappointed for the value here. Giving four stars only because my friends enjoyed their lunch the next day.

If you read my other reviews, you'll see that I don't make a habit of criticizing restaurants. I know everyone has an off night. But this experience missed the mark on almost every level. We were a party of four adults and two teenage girls on our last night in Steamboat Springs. The adults planned to enjoy a nice dinner while the girls did their own thing, but we all agreed on one thing: we wanted to eat at the Truffle Pig. The menu looked fantastic, and we were looking forward to a memorable final meal. Our first impression was a little strange. When we arrived, the two hostesses were playing cards. It wasn't offensive--they weren't busy--but it felt odd for a restaurant positioning itself as upscale. We explained that the girls wanted their own table, yet they seated them immediately beside us on the patio. There was only one other occupied table outside and roughly 15 empty ones, but we were seated directly next to that party as well. I politely asked if we could move a few tables away to give everyone some space. I was told they were "managing the servers' sections." The result was three occupied tables packed together while the rest of the patio sat empty. Our server, Dina, was friendly and pleasant. She mentioned there were no specials and took our drink orders. Oddly, after taking everyone's drink order, she returned to the first person and asked what she wanted to drink. She had simply forgotten she had already asked. It seemed harmless at the time. After our drinks arrived, I asked about the bacon-wrapped dates. Dina explained they came in orders of three, but we could add an extra one, so we ordered enough for everyone. Five minutes later she returned and asked if we'd like to order an appetizer. I reminded her we had already ordered the dates. "Oh yeah," she replied. The dates arrived and, to their credit, they were excellent. A few minutes later, Dina came back to let us know our dates should be out soon. Once again, I had to tell her we had already received them. Her response was simply, "Oh good, because I saw they started your entrees." My wife's Spinach & Bib salad with added steak was very good. Our friends ordered the burger and the cauliflower steak. Dina highly recommended the cauliflower steak, but our friend thought it was just average. Then the evening completely unraveled. I ordered the $79 New York Strip, medium rare. It was honestly the worst steak I've ever been served in a restaurant. The center was completely cold--well beyond rare--and it was so undercooked it's difficult to imagine anyone checked the temperature before it left the kitchen. On top of that, the steak was overwhelmingly fatty. I understand a New York Strip has marbling; it's one of my favorite cuts. This was something entirely different. I had to send it back. Remarkably, the teenage girls had also ordered the New York Strip, and theirs was even worse. Instead of preparing a new steak, the kitchen simply threw the already sliced pieces back on the grill. The result was an overcooked, tough, nearly inedible steak. At that point, I declined another steak and asked for the burger instead, specifically requesting no mushrooms. About ten minutes later, my replacement burger arrived covered with mushrooms. I scraped them off and, when Dina checked on us, I pointed out that I had specifically requested no mushrooms. There was no apology--just, "Oh, I know they were in a rush back there trying to get your meal out." That response perfectly summed up the evening. Mistakes happen. Kitchens get backed up. Servers forget things. What matters is how a restaurant responds. Throughout the meal there was no accountability, no manager stopped by, no chef came out, no offer to remake the girls' steaks properly, no complimentary dessert, and no effort to make things right. When Dina returned with our massive check, she apologized for the (wildfire) smoke in the area - really, for the smoke? I can only imagine the owner or Manager was off tonight, as well as the primary chef - or maybe not? For a dinner that approached $500, we didn't just leave disappointed--we left genuinely surprised that an establishment with this reputation handled the situation so poorly. The logo is great. The music and atmosphere are amazing (love the Grateful Dead theme). I just wish the food and service had lived up to them.
