I had to do the ultrasound with a full bladder, go pee, then do another ultrasound. The ultrasound tech acted like everything was all good. If she needed me pee again I would have since they had me drink so much water! How do you not do your job and decide that you're done. So, they Don't tell the patient they couldn't do their job, send the non result to your GYN then bill for it? I called to complain that the ultrasound tech didn't do her job and I needed a do over or not get billed since she just didn't give a crap enough to do her job correctly. They had me go around in circles and never got back to me. Finally I left to go back abroad and dropped it. I'm back in Pensacola and now I'm here in the ER with my son. It took 5 hours to be seen when he came in dehydrated from food poisoning. I told the check in desk he needed an IV. The nurse that took my son's blood and urine sample yelled out our Spanish last name and when we walked up she yelled "Do you speak English!" If there were a language barrier I'm sure the intake nurse would have said something. Not sure if she's Racist but this Pensacola nurse just felt like showing her ass out loud. The doctor was super quick. The nurse in the room was in shock that my son didn't already have a line in his arm. She said "racist" nurse was supposed to put one in. This room nurse was messy. She messed up putting the IV line in my son's left arm and had to start over on his right arm. She left bloody alcohol pads on the bed next to him and I had to point out that she left the needle out next to his arm before she picked it up (after she took her gloves off, which means she didn't mean to pick it up). I asked why the blood pressure machine was making a weird noise and she said because it's picking up an error. Mind you the next door neighbor's machine was also beeping the same way and they don't care to fix it. They just let it annoyingly beep on error for HOURS! If you don't care about the reading, why hook it up? Oh I know why, so you can bill for it! I tell my husband all the time that I don't like hospitals or doctors in Pensacola because they don't give a sh:t here. After having a bad experience with a Pensacola gynecologist that wanted me to get a DNC (the Tampa General doctors said thank God I refused) I will not use a Primary Care here. I'll fly back home to Tampa or Panama every time. I did take my husband to Sacred Heart once and although it was packed with triple the amount of patients waiting, we were in and out in 2 hours. I thought coming here would be better because it's new. Boy was I wrong! It's new but due to the workers (doctors and nurses, not just the cleaning crew not giving a damn that the place is dirty.) I will say that the doctor did give us plenty of time to ask questions in the end, and he gave my son a prescription for nausea so he can keep food down which was the only good thing about the emergency visit. The IV brought my son back to life, literally. Online it said that with food poisoning you need to go to the ER to get an IV if it's been over 48 hours of not keeping anything down. The extra 6 hours it took at the ER wasn't helpful. The triage can do a better job at knowing the time people need assistance. We are not a family they get sick much, but if anyone needs an IV next time I'll just order an IV therapy service like I do to get vitamins in before a trip! It's actually more economical to have such a luxury service anyhow. I'll fly to Tampa or Panama for anything else as getting care at the newest hospital doesn't give me hope for Pensacola at all.

I have had a heart attack which resulted in a stint being placed on my heart. I had a broken neck which resulted in fusion of C4 thru C7 in the cervical spine, a compression fracture of T12 and herniation of L3 thru L5 of the lower lumbar. I have had 2 GI bleeds which resulted in 4 blood transfusions and I have arthritist in all joints some of which resulted in recessions at some joints - So you can see my pain can be intense. It took this doctor over 2 months to get me an initial consult with a pain management doctor which is scheduled for next week! I just finally saw a cardiologist yesterday and have yet to see a GI doctor. Her entire staff is just as inept as she is. All of my doctors in Colorado expedited my medical paper work to this doctor's office over 2 weeks ago and yet they claim that they are not sure they even received them - yet every doctor in Colorado has assured me they sent the records. Maybe the administration at the Santa Rosa Medical Center should question why this doctor is not practicing for the Air Fore any longer, or why she isn't at the practice in Niceville, FL anymore, or why she isn't at the Ft Walton Beach, FL practice anymore??? How long will it be before the nice folks in Milton realize that she is not the right fit for their town either . . . maybe it's time for her Air Force husband to get reassigned somewhere else so that she can start anew again. Either way - STOP!! Stay away from this clinic!! Go to West Florida Medical, or Baptist Medical, or Scared Heart Medical - I hate to tell the people in Pace and Milton to go farther away to receive medical assistance . . . but you do want MEDICAL ASSISTANCE right???

The GPS led us there first and they new exactly where to point us to get to the urgent care. (They call it priority care FYI) Overall a great visit and would recommend if you have something urgent you need looked at. Especially if your doctors appointment is going to be a few days away or longer. They will take care of you and be honest with you. Kudos again for helping us find the cheapest pharmacy to get the antibiotics we needed. 11/10 would get sick again.

I was there from 10:30-3:00 for appointments and asked to please get my MRI today so I didn't have to drive back. Rhematology told me to go down there (I was told they could do walk ins), but they refused me when they didn't have to.... There was no one in the office. They just didn't want to take a patient. They figure they make the same hourly wage regardless how they treat people and regardless if they help people. This MCC made prob 5k on my from my insurance today, but they couldn't help me. The lady up front was incredibly rude about it. An older lady, heavy set, with grey long hair and a stormy disposition. When I asked to speak to her manager, she said she was in charge herself. She would email Kaitlyn maze. What a way to treat your patients. Not a place I'll be getting any MRIs done at. My insurance money can go elsewhere. Called and let them know how their employees were treating their patients.

very very rude er hospital staff. . my daughter texted me…read moresaying how nasty she was being treated. she was having a hard time breathing . she has asthma. and it took medical help for ever to start my treatment . and it was done by a medical technician with a rude attitude. i arrived to pick my daughter from west florida emergency room . i arrived by uber.. i walked to the desk and was told my daughter had already left. so i took a seat to call for uber pick up. i asked the desk person to give me west florida er address. its easter weekend uber rides were busy. because im hearing impaired and with a walker i felt safe inside as i waited for my uber. seating about 15 to 20 minutes in a empty er room, as you can see in the pictures. desk assistance on the computer and security at his desk on the phone.. 20 minutes later the desk assistance walks over to me i couldn't understand , trying to lip read. security then walked over to repeat what she was telling me. his voice was a little heavier i could understand somewhat. so i repeated what was said. she was telling me i can not sit in the waiting room. as if the waiting room was running over and packed with people. look at the pictures ive never seen a er this empty. and she knew i was calling for a uber to return home cause my daughter had got a ride from the er.. what upset me the must, as a hospital assistance seeing i was disabled with a walker and hard of hearing.. she still demand i go outside. i tried to explain thats when security walks over to repeat the same thing. go outside and wait. being hard of hearing i felt safe inside the building. i probley could have under stood if er was full of patients and there was another waiting room for patients family. but to be told go outside and wait was a bit ridiculous. "cold or hot " go outside." i've never liked west florida for other reasons. and see nothing has changed ive visted many hospitals and west florida has the worst people relationship.

On 5/17/26, my friend was brought into the ER for an attempted suicide and was immediately placed…read morein the elopement/high-risk ward. What followed was one of the most disorganized and unprofessional hospital experiences I have ever witnessed. For someone considered "high risk," he was never properly dressed out. He remained in his own clothing the entire time, including jeans, a belt, sneakers with shoelaces, and a regular shirt. That alone seemed completely inconsistent with the level of risk they claimed he posed. His first nurse was cold, dismissive, and rude from the beginning. My friend admittedly was not in the best mood, but the attitude and lack of compassion from a medical professional was unnecessary and inappropriate. Poison Control had ordered blood testing every two hours initially, then every three hours. After the first test, we were told his levels were trending down, which was supposedly good news. Yet a few hours later, a man entered the room without introducing himself and abruptly informed my friend he was "not leaving," his levels were "high," and he was at risk of ICU admission. No explanation. No bedside manner. No consistency with what we had previously been told. Despite supposedly being "high risk" and possibly ICU-bound, his monitors sat disconnected from around 7 PM until discharge. Vitals were not being consistently checked. He was barely physically assessed and instead was simply watched on a camera monitor. I know this because I was allowed to stay with him the entire time. Then came the night shift nurse, Ariel. She was rude, condescending, visibly irritated to be there, and openly dismissive toward both of us. She threatened delays in treatment and care and repeatedly responded to basic patient questions with "I don't know" or "that's not my job." At one point, when I politely asked if a doctor would still see him that late at night and whether they were done drawing blood, she snapped at me and accused me of "flipping out" on her, despite the fact I never raised my voice and intentionally remained calm because of her previous attitude. Around this same time, the elderly man in the room next door repeatedly yelled that he was wet and soiled, and the night staff never checked on him while we were awake. It was heartbreaking and honestly disturbing. At approximately 3 AM, Ariel casually informed us my friend had apparently been medically cleared since 11 PM. Neither of us had been told this for four hours. We then continued waiting. And waiting. By 5 AM, still no doctor. 6 AM, still no doctor. Shift change came and went. The morning nurse was the first staff member who treated us like actual human beings. When we explained that we had still never seen a physician and described the issues overnight, she did not seem remotely surprised. 8 AM: nothing. 9 AM: nothing. He was finally offered breakfast despite having received almost nothing prior. We were eventually told we were "lucky" he was not seen by another psych doctor because apparently that doctor "only sees patients he has already decided to admit." That statement alone was alarming. Finally, around 10:00 to 10:30 AM, a psychiatric doctor arrived. He was professional, kind, respectful, and actually demonstrated bedside manner. He informed my friend he would be discharged and said it would not take long. We still remained there another 2 to 3 hours before discharge actually happened. The room itself was filthy the entire stay. There were random caps and trash on the floor that did not belong to anything used for my friend's care, along with crushed crackers and debris. No blankets. No pillows. Yet somehow he was still allowed to wear all of his own clothing and belongings in a supposedly high-risk psychiatric setting. I understand emergency rooms are busy and healthcare workers are under pressure. But there is a difference between being overwhelmed and providing negligent, dismissive, and disorganized care. Neither I nor my friend would willingly choose HCA Florida Fort Walton-Destin Hospital again after this experience. Another major issue throughout this experience was the complete lack of communication with his emergency contact, his mother, who lives out of state. She repeatedly attempted to get updates regarding his condition and care and was either told staff "didn't know" anything or had calls abruptly ended. For a patient in a mental health crisis, the absence of basic communication and compassion toward immediate family was unacceptable and only added more stress to an already serious situation.

The was a metal plate at the end of each arm and I grabbed it; boom big cut! Tetanus shot was given, and RX. ARNP Joan was professional and reassured me I would be fine! So, I left feeling much better. I'm really glad they were there!
