I have a 2023 Toyota GR Corolla. Terrible factory sound system. I put in new rear speakers and a small amp behind the head unit to no avail. Never been to HD Audio, but the reviews were good. Erick and Seth are nice, friendly. They had not worked on the GR, but I was willing to let them take a stab at my car with a larger amp and a digital processor to split the signal to the rears better. Put down $100. Parts came in, and problems started. Turns out the GR Corolla channels everything thru it's amp (under pass. front seat) including auto functions. At some point they got all sorts of dash warnings and my power steering went out. They brought in an auto electrician, he could not find the problem. At this point Erick suggested I'd have to take the car to the dealership to correct the problem. And since I had aftermarket work done, the question was if they (I) had voided the warranty. So I took it in and didn't tell them the whole truth. I felt uncomfortable lying, but I also didn't want to get soaked for some huge electrical problem cost. Turns out they had to disconnect all the LIN modules (local network) from the CAN line (controller network) to reboot everything. Pain in the..., but nothing fried. Just $450 labor (which was surprisingly much lower than I anticipated). So now, everything is back almost, now, I have no control over the rear speakers, and HD Audio still does not know what they did to put things on the fritz, or how to proceed. So at this point I decided I didn't want the car to get zapped again, and I would live with the crappy audio. As for the $100 down payment, and the $450 out of pocket to the dealer... of which I didn't do anything wrong... nothing from HD Audio. Talked to Seth, he copied the bill, said he would pass it onto Erick. Called Erick 2x, no response. So I'm not upset that the guys couldn't upgrade my audio, no even upset that they glitched the car, but come on guys, write it up as a loss and help me out with the bill. YOU guys were the ones who fritzed it. I know it was unintentional, but to stick me with the bill and then ghost me? That's b.s. Erick. Not good business. This is the third vehicle I have taken to HD Audio, this time it was my motorhome. The guys put in a brand new head unit in no time, and put everything back together where it looked like it came out of the factory that way. I'm pretty careful about who I have work on my motorhome due to the costs involved if something goes wrong. I had taken it to another audio shop recommended by my RV dealer, and they tried to sell me a stereo that was 3x the price of what I needed. I think it's because they thought I must be made of money because I own a coach. Eric and his guys aren't that way. They worked within my budget and helped me find a solution that worked without being pushy about it. read more

The factory stereo in the family minivan started turning off if I turned right or used the turn signal. I guess there's a short in the steering wheel controls! I contacted HD Audio via email on Sunday and by Monday they had a quote for me. I scheduled an appointment, and an hour after I arrived my new stereo sounded SO much better than stock! I should have done this years ago. Now it has twice the clarity and three times the power. I will be careful not to blow the speakers. Installation was NOT expensive (an hour of my time is worth more and it would have taken me forever). Surprisingly affordable for a massive upgrade in sound. read more

These guys are crooks ... I paid them over 10k for a stereo system and door locks and Jeep lighting... nothing worked after 3 months ... I took the Jeep to a reputable stereo dealer and they charged my 800 dollars to fix all of the crap that these guys did to the Jeep.. they told me that HD audio did the worst work they had ever seen .. e we hen I complained they just stopped answering the phone ... stay away from these guys... I learned my lesson ... please don't learn the same lesson... stay away !!! read more

I called yesterday to schedule an appointment to have a my remote start removed from another company that was installed over 6yrs ago. CJ the person I spoke with understood the situation and we scheduled a 4pm appointment. I arrived a few minutes early only to find the doors are locked on a offsite install. I received no type of communication for a reschedule and then told completely the opposite info to help me once they didn't want to do the work. I WOULD DEFINITELY STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! This use to be the place to go but have fallen from grace. The guy working in there hardly knew how to clearly communicat about the product I needed. Oh and good luck if you want to hear any of displays 2/3rds of them don't work, some of the ones that are work are only half working, you're not aloud to touch them, and the guy didn't know what was what. read more

If only people would spend more time researching for a good local place to have stuff done instead of the cheapest. Instead they come to us wanting their horrible installs fixed and then bash us for not fixing their mistake taking it elsewhere in the first place.
