We had wanted to trade in old company vehicles in exchange for the new. The salesman had offered to pay for our gas to compensate for our drive from Bellevue. About half way to the dealership the salesman had called and said that he "wanted to make sure we'd have our business by the end of the day" and went on to essentially manipulate us into doing business with him. The whole interaction from the start with this dealership seems a little shady and I wouldn't send my family or friends their direction. After we had decided to take business elsewhere a different representative reached out and had apologized on the dealers behalf which we respected.

Essentially being insurance centric instead of customer or truth centric. Furthermore they put red coolant hose kit on instead of the blue requested. Attention to detail might be lacking.

It was just like talking to the guy next door. He was not high pressure, which we appreciated and would not have gone back if he was. Instead, after we left, we decided to order a new truck that would fit our exact specifications so we called Chris and let him know. He easily walked us through the process and answered questions along the way. Of course, when the truck finally arrived from Ford, it was over the top perfect. We love it. However i have never dealt with Hinshaw Auto Body on any sort of project prior to this job. Highlighting the pros of this job; paint itself was matched well and seemingly done correctly. Even went above and beyond (to my knowledge) and painted the hood which was not on the service bulletin to be warrantied. They were fairly open to me seeing the process and answering my questions if anything came up throughout. Unfortunately with any pros came multiple cons; starting with body pieces being incorrectly put back, gouging tint on all four windows without telling me, breaking headlight electrical plugs, lack of cleanliness (buffing compound all over the truck, some of which stained parts unrelated to the project), etc. Although a few of these items were corrected, others were slacked on. Overall i am disappointed in the service that was highly spoken of from Doxon Toyota. I would normally recommend body shops, dealers, companies, etc. But in this case it is nearly impossible to do so. I would hope in the future this can help customers be aware of what can potentially happen to your vehicle here and provide feed back for Hinshaw Auto Body to be more attentive going forward.

As we're 50 miles from their shop, we send the serial number and ask him to check CarFax and validate his offer, which he does. We could not have been more explicit or thorough. We got there at opening at 10am as he requested. He was late and told us he has 4 things going on, and we'll need to wait. 45 minutes later he tells us his "assistant" misinterpreted the mileage and they couldn't pay us anything close to what he offered. The mileage was clearly stated in the ad, and the CarFax shows the same detail. If you know anything about the car business, this is standard unethical, sleazy business practice that is very intentional. It's bait and switch to take advantage of people. He didn't apologize, and he didn't try to make it right. In fact, he acted like he was the customer. Collectively, we spent 8 hours and 180 miles on this waste of time. If this is what the Harnish family business is all about, then there's some serious issues starting at the top. On principle alone, I would not do business with these folks.

Denis, the finance manager, tried to get me in touch with the bank they finance through, Kitsap. Something between Denis and the bank got misconstrued because the bank was trying to run my credit 30 seconds into the call. After calling Denis back, we agrees to have me come in Friday, March 19th when I got off work. I arrived, was met by James. James was a very nice guy, listened to all of my concerns and answered all of my questions to the best of my ability. I let him know I was willing to work on the unmovable price if they addressed my concerns on the truck. I pointed out a leak and moisture collecting in the taillights. James assured me he would speak to Denis and get back to me Saturday or Monday. Saturday, nothing. Halfway through Monday, nothing. I texted Denis at 12:06 on Tuesday, the 23rd, then called and got his voicemail. I called the dealership, was transferred and he answered right away. His happy greeting quickly changed. He told me that him and James had not spoken so I relayed my findings to him, he said he will have a mechanic look at it and call me back in 20 minutes or so with some sort of update. I texted him again at 3:30 Tuesday to ask when I might expect to hear from him again in regards to the truck. I was told "hopefully sometime tomorrow morning" I texted Denis again Wednesday, 24th at 11:54 asking if he had heard anything. He calls back and says yes, the leak I had spotted was an oil gasket which was replaced but the truck had sold in the meantime. The communication here sucks. I feel like I was being avoided because if I got the luxury of a response, it was days or hours and hours later unless I called the dealership and was transferred directly.

I was offering to buy a truck on their lot before they had inspected it, and they wouldn't accept my payment until they performed all their quality checks. They went on to perform significant improvements to the vehicle, despite already taking a deposit on it from me and having the sale basically gaurenteed. Car Village gets major points from me for their integrity and quality of service! I would recommend this place to anyone, and from now on am only getting my family vehicles here!
