The attic cellulose work referenced was recommended by their team and performed by a contractor they referred. I had an air conditioning unit installed by Evolution Air in 2021. Since installation, the unit has intermittently made a loud "farting" or bubbling noise. I reported this issue within the first year. A technician came out, but unfortunately the noise did not occur during the visit, so nothing was adjusted or fixed. The problem has continued since then. After researching the issue myself, I found multiple discussions on Reddit indicating this is a known and common problem related to airflow or pressure adjustment, and that it is typically an easy fix for an experienced technician. You'll be surprised how nice it is not even knowing that the HVAC is operating other than the airflow you sense from the registers. We opted for a heat exchanger, and I was very surprised that it occupies about 1/3 of the area the previous system's compressor did. You literally have to look at the fan spinning to know if it's on or not, it's so quiet. After three days, the work was finished and the guys left no evidence they'd even been there. We had contacted a local company and, while the quote and scope seemed adequate, the plan for condenser placement was not great and I had sticker shock. So I went to YELP and found JL Martin. I am so glad I did! Jared toured the home, and came up with a great plan for a new system and was able to come in around 3K less that the previous company. I appreciated the 'out of box' thinking! This included working with the city permit process as well. The biggest hold up was actually the city acknowledging and passing the plan. Once that happened the JL Martin team scheduled quickly and the install was completed in under a day. The install team was incredibly respectful, explained everything that they were doing, and took great pains to be as unobtrusive as possible. They gave me the guidance on what to expect with the state inspection and city, made sure I understood what the filter requirements would be in the future and the city signed off within 10 days of install.
