After posting my 2 star review of HDInstalls last week I received a call from the owner who was very concerned and apologized for the poor service I received, which I thought was very nice. He then proceeded to offer me $100 if I offered to take the review down. I told him I'd think about it and call him back. We really trust the reviews on Yelp, and we're also shareholders so I felt that while an extra $100 would be great, it would really undermine the benefits of Yelp which we constantly rely on. I opted not to call them back. Since then I've been contacted via SMS multiple times, again offering me money to remove the post and then most recently I was notified they'd be filing a defamation/libel lawsuit for $55k in damages. I'm a do-it-yourself guy (most of the time)... But there are a few things in life I've learned you're better off calling in the Pros. 1. Defending yourself in Court 2. Tattooing 3. Any kind of medical procedure 4. Oral Surgery 5. HD TV Installation (when you don't want any wires showing). I called them early in the morning... Voice mail was full, but I persisted and sent an email. My request was a little unrealistic, I wanted my brand new Samsung SmartTV hung that day, wall-mounted, and no cables showing. I figured at the very least, I would need to wait a few days to get placed on the calendar... Within a few hours, I had a phone call reply and a very professional, knowledgeable guy on the line. He asked a few questions, and promised to get the install done today, if I was okay having it done at 6PM. These guys are like Surgeons... they have every piece of installation equipment imaginable. They are meticulous in their work, super clean (concerned with any dust they may have caused) and even bring their own mini vacuum to the job site to make sure they leave no trace of their presence (that is, except for the flawlessly installed HD LED TV now hanging in my home). They even took care of things they had no need to do contractually: 1. Move my Ethernet cable from the floor level jack, up to behind the TV (while staying inside the wall... "no problem they said" 2. Add some screws to a loose shelf that sat above my TV... "no problem they said" 3. Carry out the trash and take it all the way to the dumpster for me (even when I said I would do it later)... "we got it, don't worry" All the while, they worked quickly and professionally... these guys are goodhearted too... you can tell they've been working together a long time, and they enjoy it. Very personable, friendly, service with a smile (and an occasional joke thrown in for free)... I researched prices before choosing them and not only were they accommodating of my time needs, they were the best priced service! All the pricing is on their website - so there's no surprises or cheap sales tactics when they arrive to do the work. I would highly suggest going to them for all of your Home Theater or TV Installation needs. These are local guys with a local business who are trying to make ends meet! Stefan was awesome - he knew what he was doing. My gut rehabbed house has no cable wiring and he came out first (free of charge) to see what the sitch was. Then he scheduled an appointment a few days later to come out and run cable wiring around our house (cable wiring matched the paint) and through our wall, installing a cable outlet inside the living room. He plugged the hole with silicon and also left service loops on the beginning and end of the wiring in case we needed more later. He was super friendly and very professional. The wiring was done perfectly and we can barely notice it on the outside, as opposed to how xfinity would have done it. Would definitely recommend! read more

They even accommodated late hours as I had mentioned I don't get home from work until after 7pm. Just moved into a new place and needed my TV mounted. We have metal studs, and working with them is above my pay grade. I did a little bit of searching, and after seeing all the 5 star reviews, decided to go with HDInstalls. The operator I spoke to on the phone with was very kind, and I was able to book a single TV mount with the wires concealed + mounted soundbar (180 bucks) two days out. My arrival window was from 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM. My handyman, Charles, called promptly at 11:00 to let me know he was running behind, and would be arriving at 1:55. The fact that he considered a time still within my delivery window was "late" just goes to show you the level of service Charles provides. He arrived at 1:55 and immediately went to work. He made sure to place our TV level, and was able to hide all of our wires and devices (including our wifi router) behind the TV. Unfortunately, I didn't have the correct mount for our speaker (guess those are very specific to speaker brand) so I couldn't get that mounted today. My invoice was sent to my email and Charles only charged me 99 dollars, since I guess wire concealment involves threading wire behind drywall. I did not know this, and honestly would've paid the full price unwittingly. I will be definitely using HD installs for any future TV mounting services, and plan to have them out again to install my soundbar once the correct mount arrives. read more

I had a very pleasant free consultation with Besi, who discussed various options regarding my 60 inch TV. He noted that given my walls (with aluminum studs) and the weight of my TV (120 lbs), there would be some extra work involved if I wanted a fully articulating mount.. However, I did not get the impression that Besi was trying to 'upsell' or anything like that; instead, he was offering a candid assessment based on his expertise. He also suggested some simpler alternatives that would be easier to complete. Besi was also familiar with all issues of home construction and I bounced some ideas off of him regarding enclosing my den, about which he was very knowledgeable and promised to follow-up with some good contacts. In short, I am very pleased that I came across HDInstalls. Besi is a consummate professional and he inspires confidence that he will get the job done correctly. Need a TV mounted? Don't hesitate in giving these guys a call! We had scheduled an appointment in about a day, unfortunately they were not able to make it the first night BUT they did make it the next day. They were in constant communication during the process as well. Both installation specialists used the equipment I had previously bought, and figured out the best method to mounting. Asked about our preference on height as well. They not only made a clean install but also cleaned up after they finished as well. Our living room is now complete, and it looks great! I had Stefan and Michael in today to install a TV monitor in our office conference room. We ordered the service to be completed through Amazon Home Services and I am incredibly thankful that it turned out the way it did! These two guys came in, were friendly, quick, and professional. They made sure to ask where I wanted the monitor to be located ("is it important to be centered with the conference table or the credenza?), how high would we prefer it to be mounted, how do you want the cables set up, etc. They made quick work about the set up and actual install. The mounting job looks amazing and very much more professional than it did sitting on top of the credenza in its TV stand. Once their work was done, they asked if I wanted to inspect their work. Everything checked out. They even showed me how to use the "blue paws" to pop the TV out if we ever needed to. There couldn't have been two nicer, friendlier, more efficient gentleman that came to install our TV today. I'm so thankful that the Amazon Home Services worked out this well!! Shout out to the woman (I think her name is Monique?) who fielded my questions when I called her at HD Installs to reschedule our first scheduled appointment. They didn't know that we were a place of business, so when I let her know that an install after 5 PM on a weekday, nor would a weekend install be acceptable, she was very flexible and accommodating. Before I call a business, I check Yelp! I called HD Installs and they returned my call less than 24 hours later. Someone came out to my office right away. The gentleman told me I should receive a few estimates by email within 48 hours. The next day I received 3 estimates. I choose the one that fit our needs and budget. We then scheduled a time for the install. That day arrived and the gentleman came around the time we agreed to. Two gentleman got to work right away. They were very friendly and answered all my questions. After the install they explained how to use the DVR and told us that if we needed anything we could call them. That was about a month ago. Very disappointed with the install. Owner mixed up appt. date on his calendar despite e-mail confirmation. Appt. rescheduled with a 30% discount which was great, except the installer came unprepared, as well as late. I informed the owner I had a plaster wall and wanted in wall mounting; tech arrived with no in wall cable boxes that would make install professional; he says they just drill a hole in the wall and fish cables through but since I have plaster wall with metal sheathing for the lathe, this wasn't an option. There is absolutely NO indication of this sloppy method in the gallery of installation photos. So, I have an ugly install with the cables running down the wall and a too short cover over them. For the price of installation, even with a 30% discount, HD installs ought to provide the plastic protective in wall boxes, or at least provide them for an upcharge. Having seen these guys in action at my office and hearing about their great work at a co-worker's home, I couldn't wait to hire them for my home project. They arrived promptly in their appointment window ready to work and get the project done quickly. I had a 50" TV to hang above my fireplace and a 32" to float on the bedroom wall. Both required cords to run inside the walls for the TV, satellite boxes, Apple TV, & the Blu Ray. They allowed me to pick from a flush-mount, tilt, or full-motion bracket (I picked full motion) for each television and confirmed locations and height for hanging. After they finished, they vacuumed all drilling or wall dust from all surfaces. One family member was astounded how discreet the wiring is now, tucked away neatly and very professional up close and from the sofa or bed. I am not only pleased with the final product, but also with how courteous the workers are. In my opinion they have a standard and FAIR pricing model that includes a cost per 1. installed item, 2. needed hardware or mount brackets, and 3. needed cords (e.g. extra extension cord or HDMI if you don't have any on hand).
