Okay, first of all, BAD BAD BAD and BAD customer service! Don't bother going here. All the good reviews are only for mani&padi which they don't do that anymore. My first time was pretty good. It was few months ago and the young lady behind the counter was nice and massage was pretty decent. No comment on that. The second time I came here was few days ago with my boyfriend. When we showed up, there was an old lady (more like a great grandma) behind the counter and she couldn't speak a word in English. Oh! Just to let you know, employees (masseur&masseuse) don't speak English AT ALL and even the owner barely speaks English After waiting for about 40mins (Yes, whats the point of making an appointment?) , we were serviced by two girls. Obviously they don't have no massage experience whatsoever. Not only that, they were talking and giggling in their own language which I found it to be rude and distracting. Massage in general? I hate Yelp reviewers, but I liked this place. Everyone there is very nice, they speak little English so you have to show some respect for their culture. These yelp reviewers are insane if they say you won't get your money's worth. Got an 80$, hr and a half couples massage with me and my girlfriend. Hot oil, hot stones, foot massage, hand massage, all segments of the back, the works. Came out feeling relaxed as hell, make sure you gesture or sound off if they go too hard on you. I would have given -5 stars if I could. I called in and made an appointment at 3:30. They messed up some walkins and thought they were us and just let them in. "They were already in there 10mins ago." So? I was here 5 mins prior my appointment and I don't give a shit about your walk ins. Got the couples massage through Groupon for my boyfriends birthday and were so dissatisfied. There are cheaper way better places & services, yes even with the Groupon else where. I wanted to try someplace different & because we were not far from his other birthday surprise I figured it was perfect.. I thought this place was upscale for the price.. No not at all .. A very throw together parlor. They never asked us what type of massage we preferred & the man gave me the deepest tissue of my life. I keep having to say, please softer, he was getting mad then started rushing. I told him not to do my face & head because I had just got my hair & make up done but to rather focus on another part more.. He was so upset talking to the lady in his language with an attitude. As well as when i was face down & he was standing above me his feet smelled so bad. Never the lest as he rushed I laid there an extra 15 minutes after until the lady was finished with my boyfriend. I asked my boyfriend how was his, he was saying that it was not like other places we been & could hear them arguing in there language about me. When we left I did tip & 15$ each & she said that's all?? I was so upset like.. You guys don't even deserve that. This place is also called Head 2 Toe Massage and they offer $35 massages. I lucked out and got a guy named Lee (Li?) on my very first visit (a walk-in, I think). He is very skilled. Every time I've gone back, I've made sure that I'll be seeing Lee/Li. As an Asian-run spa, it's a bit "different" from a lot of your usual American type massage places. They do a lot of work over the blankets, not actually touching skin. They encourage patrons to wear this robe/wrap-type thing (but I don't). Near the last 2/3 of the massage Lee/Li finally touches bare skin. I only note this because it's what we are used to here in the U.S. But even without a lot of the bare skin-touching thing, Lee/Li really gets in there. And unlike a lot of people, when I tell Lee/Li what problem areas I have at the time, he actually focuses on those areas instead of just doing his usual everyday massage work. I would pay twice that to see Lee/Li. He's that good. read more

At first I had a bad experience with miscommunication about the amount of time I purchased for a couples massage, and what my husband and I actually received. But I was able to call them back today and speak with someone that understood my frustration. That was willing to work With me to make things right. I was satisfied at the outcome of the situation, and happy that I was able to speak with someone that showed me business professionalism. I would recommend this establishment based upon the massage therapist, they are wonderful women. They adjust the pressure adequately to your needs, and will work out tough stress spots. read more

Im usually not one to write bad reviews but I HAD too for this place. My boyfriend and I booked a couples massage here for the first time. It was his first time getting a massage and I wanted it to be something special we can do together. When you walk in the place is very nice and welcoming, they were able to get us into the room very quickly. The first problem was that you could here all the talking between the rooms and even all the phone calls from the front desk but we both tried to ignore it. The second problem was that both ladies kept massaging very rough as we kindly asked them to go softer over 5 times they laughed and kept doing their thing which was not enjoyable at all. Then once we got home I noticed my boyfriend had a HUGE purple bruise on the back of his neck from all the pressure she was putting on him. Don't waste you're time on this place I wasted 100$. ok, i had taken my mom and me for a massage it was great!! BUT i didn't not like the fact the lady in front was try to up sell me, and at the end i paid for both and gave tip in cash, i only has $9 so gave one $5.00 and the other $4.00 she had told me it wasnt enough!! and it was $5.00 minimum and when i asked my mom of any cash she came up with 1dollar, the lady in front asked again THATS ALL YOU GOT!!! DONT WASTE YOUR TIME! I made an appointment in the morning for a massage at 3:30 and arrived at 3:25. I had driven like crazy, all the way from DTLA to get here on time and had another appointment in San Pedro at 5pm afterwards. They kept me waiting until 3:50 saying their masseuse went home I had to wait yadayada. I told them I couldn't wait and if they would like to see me come back (this was my first time BAD first impression) that they could offer me a coupon or certificate for a future visit. The whiny girl at the front desk who'd made this mistake told me she'd called the owner who would offer me a discount only if I stayed and waited. Way to safely offer what cannot be received and thereby obviating having to deliver any sort of generosity or understanding. I left. Oh, and if you haven't been here before and having your time and gas wasted isn't a big deal to you, on my walk to the bathroom, I noticed the tiny rooms are merely divided with half drawn window blinds - so tacky. read more

I have come here about 5-6 times before writing this review. The owner/manager is so sweet and delightful. I usually call ahead to set an appointment same day and request a female massage therapist, they always accommodate my request without any problems. The massage therapist does a wonderful job, and always listens to my request for light-medium pressure and checks on me frequently throughout the massage to see how I'm feeling. I love the individual rooms and bring a set of "massage clothes" with me which is just shorts and a sports bra. I recommend this place highly. Keep in mind there might be a language barrier but they are so nice and the prices are incredible. 5 stars! read more

I went to get a massage today and I wanted a specific person. The lady at the front desk told me I had to have who she wanted to give me. I agreed and went to the room. During my massage the lady from the front desk came in sat on the floor in my room next to my masseuse and they both were laughing, talking and looking at her phone. I was thinking what's going on. She stayed in my room about 10-15 mins and then she left. After the massage I paid and was going to tip her. I handed her the tip and she rolled her eyes and started speaking in her language. She was visibly upset and I realized she wanted more tip. How rude! I said thank you and she didn't respond. Then I said bye bye and she looked away. Unprofessional and appalling. Customers shouldn't have to be pressured into tipping a specific amount, this is the second time I experienced this after a massage here. I have been going to Head 2 Toe for over 3 years now. Over the last 3 years, there has been so many new foot massage stores opening up every where. What I like about this place is that you have your own room and it is clean. I have been to over a dozen foot massage place and this is my favorite by far. My husband, my mom and my sister all goes there too now. Besides massage, there is skin care as well. (the price is unbeatable) I usually get a whole body massage first follow by a facial. I've been going to this place for my mani and pedi for months now and this is my go to place! Megan is the manicurist and she is super talented. She's always so patient with me and she does exactly what i ask for. I always leave the place 100% satisfied :) The price is so much cheaper than any other places that do nail art. I indulged in a lot of inexpensive foot massages when I was in Asia a couple of years ago and have been looking for a similar experience in LA. Most places seem to be in San Gabriel so I was very excited to hear about this place, which is close to where I live. Based on the other reviews, I decided to just go with a one-hour foot massage rather than a body massage. As it turned out, the foot massage also included some body and scalp massage so it was very nice. Overall, it was definitely worth the low price. I've always been more about the massage than having a luxurious ambiance, but the ambiance here was totally fine- clean and comfortable. I was pleasantly surprised by the private room as I'd expected a communal lounge. The massage was a bit too firm at times (and I generally like firm massages), but for the most part, I enjoyed it and the quality was very similar to my experiences in Asia. I'd recommend to others, but suggest telling them to use light pressure if you don't like very firm massages. read more
