Went in last night to get a massage for my husband and I. My husband has been having some back pain the last couple of days so I decided to take him out for a massage. We walked in and asked for a 60 minutes massages for both of us. They just looked at me like I was dumb and told me to sit down. After waiting about 20 minutes someone grabbed us and took us back into a room. The massage was okay for me. Some parts of my body hurt a lot when I was done. And in the beginning of my massage the lady was trying to get me to tie my hair but didn't speak English so kept pointing at my wrist(I had a hair tie on it) and then pointing at my hair. My husband said his massage my absolutely horrible. His back came out hurting even more then when he came in. The lady was literally kneeing his back and putting way too much force in it. Overall was no pleased. My mom took us back in November her and it was absolutely amazing for all of us. We came back and my mom had told me if I was going to go back it has gotten worse there. Clean. ..let's start there first! Anytime I go to get a massage I am always immediately inspecting the place. My mother's friend highly recommended this place and of course I went to yelp to read their reviews. With everyone praising Megan, while my mom got a massage I made an appointment for a gel manicure. Couldn't be happier. She was very nice and took her time on my nails. She offers a variety of colors and is excellent with her own designs. My mother enjoyed her massage although she prefers the salons where you have to remove your clothing. All and all the experience was very pleasant, just want a girl needs every now and then! I've been here a few times -- they are not very consistent with their service. The first few times I went, I was very happy with the massages because they were really awesome like everybody said. But the last few times, the masseurs were slacking. They thought I fell asleep so they went from massaging me to just rubbing me. I had to move to let them know I was still awake, and then they went back to giving massage. I kept forgetting taking their names down because I was upset and just wanted to leave. They looked new though, so that might be why. The first few times I went, they asked me between rose, lavender, and milk, which would I like to soak my feet in. But then they stopped asking/offering the choices. I never ask what was the deal because I didn't want to disrupt the massage, and then I would forget to ask afterward. The room we went into was clean and dim so it was comfortable for us to get undressed and get situated before our massage. The massage was great but a little too much pressure on my shoulders so the next day I felt sore, I could've just said something so that's my bad. The woman at the reception was mad and with a bad attitude just for 10 minutes late! She doesn't know that we are in L.A and traffic is crazy? Even in a restaurant you have 15 minutes to get late. I have been coming to Head 2 Toe Care for the last 2 years because the pricing was great, the massages were amazing and they always have available appointments. Unfortunately the last 3 experiences have been unpleasant. Most of the massage this previous time I went was done using elbow which hurts so much. (last night) There is nothing relaxing about it. When massaging my neck and feet she was digging her nail. I made sounds including let her know that it was painful but that method continued being used. Okay first off I see a lot of people complaining about this place because of Groupon. Okay so Groupon can be a bit of a rip off (this is precisely why people should call before purchasing the Groupon) this is why I called ahead of time. When I called the lady informed me not to even purchase the Groupon and instead she told me to purchase directly through the business. (The Groupon advertises the couples massage as 165 and the discounted price as 99 dollars but in reality it is only 80 dollars for an hour couples' massage.) I'm glad I did it this way or I would be on here complaining. Anyways my husband and I came on Valentines Day for a couples' massage . This was our first time ever getting a massage and it was great and at a great price. We were running 10 minutes behind and we were still able to get our full time for the massage. And then when i went in to ask why the lady at the counter was clueless and could not even talk English. No one else was there and she said she only has opening for 1 person at 9:30! WTH! Great stop for a reasonably priced quick massage, I like that they also offer couples massages. The only downside is that we called same day to make reservations, yet when we arrived they didn't have us down. They still made sure we were taken care of but it was confusing. A lot of couples coming here to get massages. I came with my girlfriend here for a 60 mins couple massage. I had an okay experience here. Some of the rooms are closed by a window shade in the doorway - kinda weird. The first 20 mins was massaging through a rough bath towel which kinda sucked to be honest. Three Strikes - You're Out! This place is in walking distance for me, and the price is great. That's as far as the good points go. The bad points: 1) Only the owner speaks English, when you book appointment by phone. No one speaks English when you get there. 2) They are never prepared for your appointment when you arrive, and sometimes ask you to return later. 3) I have gone for an hour massage only to be told by the masseuse when i arrive that they can only do a 1/2 hour (which they rushed through). 4) It's noisy. The last time I went, the girl left the door ajar the entire time, with customers and employees walking by, and the foul smell of the bathroom wafting in from next door. Not pleasant. I have spoken with the owner, and she does not seem concerned with making improvements, so I will not be returning. read more

I got a groupon as a gift from my friend so I went there for a massage. It's the worse and the weirdest massage I've ever had in my life. First of all, the lady hopped on top of me! She uses the knees against my thighs and then push her elbows on my back. I had to tell her to get off me since it's so painful!!!I've never had a massage in which a therapist came on top of a customer (granted I'm a female). I purchased at Couples 90min massage for my friend's birthday and my friend loved it(she found this place). I on the other hand left with a knot in between my shoulder blades(that was not there previously). At first I enjoyed the massage on my legs and feet, but the upper body was horrible. I asked my masseuse to go a bit harder and then she did. It was not uncomfortable while she was working, so I didn't think anything. As soon as I got home I felt a horrible discomfort on my upper back(in between my shoulder blades). Needless to say I will never go back. You know the place where you just don't know what you are going to get from visit to visit?? This is it! Frustrating beyond belief..owners lie and hide behind mask contributing to problems. Employees can't speak a lick of English so it creates a huge safety issue when you need to tell them to stay away from sensitive/injured areas etc. They book you for your requested person and last minute they do the bait and switch and give you a person who again speaks no English so they give you everything. When you question them telling them you called and made an appt with the person, they argue with you until you show them proof. You don't want a massage from just anyone as it can absolutely harm you and or be physically unsafe for your body condition/needs). It is noisy, cold and what !!really!! Bothers me that they use one bath towel to cover you during massage vs the standard full Coverage sheet. It's cold. Also their rooms have a weird sliding door type thing where when changing, anyone could technically look under and see you - is this even legal? read more

This is small little place in a strip mall, nothing fancy at all. I got a Living Social deal a one hour hot stone and aromatherapy massage. There was no aromatherapy at all and the lady who did my massage used hot stones for about 3 minutes on my upper back. The massage was a full hour, as advertised. I wouldn't go as far as to call it a massage tho. It was more just someone rubbing oil/lotion on my skin and digging their elbows into me for an hour. The lady who did my "massage" focused mainly on my back and only did my front for about 5 minutes at the end. I also requested a female when I called to make my appointment. A lady showed me into the room and so I assumed she would be the one doing the massage. After I undressed and was laying waiting, a man came in and tried to life up my towel! I quickly grabbed it back from him and said I requested a female. He then sent in a lady to do my massage. Thankfully I realized before he started the massage. Today my upper back and shoulders are so sore and not in the good way you feel after a proper massage. I don't think the people there are even properly trained. I would NOT recommend this place and would advise to avoid it. It super cheap, but you definitely get what you pay for here. This is nothing out of the common. Here are some suggestions for the ladies who work there: - when I left the place I felt it was more like a bait and switch deal. They offer aromatherapy but the "aroma" there was was the coconut oil they rubbed on my back. Coconut oil is not an aroma oil. I expected eucalyptus, or lavender, peppermint, bergamot, or any other oil. - In the past, they used to do massages with their hands. I personally feel very relaxed when they massage my neck and upper back with their hands but the woman only used her elbows. Quite frankly I paid for one hour to be relaxed but it was not relaxing at all. - They seem to do the massage in such a rush like "I can't wait for this to be over and for her to give me my tip." You could sense the woman doesn't want to do a great massage. She will rub her elbows everywhere and then tell you time is up at the exact one hour. - If you guys don't step up to the plate and really carry out the offers you put out there, get out of the business. - This is supposed to be "head" to "toe". They weren't going to massage my head or feet hadn't I requested it. - Last but not least, learn the freaking language. You can't have a business if you don't even understand what the customer is asking you. - Needless to say, I am not coming back. I have been to better places than this. read more

My friend and I tried this place because we found a coupon for a combined 30-minute massage plus a 30 minute foot massage that was $60 for the two of us. We both had our massages in the same room at the same time. Once I had to let them know that the pressure was a little too much, and I will admit to being taken aback by the fact that they pull each toe and make them pop, but overall it was a very good, relaxing massage for an excellent price. Both of us would definitely go back. We made our appointment for 11:00 and waited in my car because it turns out that they open at 11:00. I was VERY surprised that the staff members arrived in a van and parked in one of the prime parking spaces right in front of the store instead of the back of the lot and not leaving the spaces in front open for the customers. I mentioned this to the receptionist and she gave me one of those blank looks that either meant she didn't understand what I said, or more likely, pretended not to. Given that this salon is right next to the very popular (and very good, BTW) China Buffet, each of the small businesses in this location have understandably staked out their own spaces with signage to keep the restaurant customers out. read more

Checked this place out after I read the reviews on Groupon. Very quiet, serene and tranquil atmosphere. The masseuse who took care of me was very thorough which I really enjoyed. She really worked out the knots I had in my neck and shoulders, and always made sure the pressure was ok. I had a 60 minute massage with hot stones and oil aromatherapy. It was well worth the money (deal or no deal lol) there are about 8 private rooms and a few that take couples. I really enjoyed how peaceful it was that helped me relax a lot more. Terrible. I called to make an appointment for this massage and got confirmation for a time and date. The day of the appointment, I called an hour before coming in to make sure I was confirmed before driving 40 minutes to get there. Once I arrived, I was told that there was no appointment for me and that I would have to come back in 2 hours, which did not work for my schedule. The front desk people were extremely unhelpful and did not seem to understand the problem or inconvenience they had caused. I will not be going back to this business. read more
