I love Sheila, she makes me have less hair on my body and in a stylish way. She is super fun to visit and doesn't make fun of me for getting tears in my eyes sometimes. Also, did mom and daughter facials here, so fun, they start you off with little foot soaks with ya mamma (or whoeves you wanna bring, your mailman, neighbor....) with tea and all this nice soothing stuff. Looks small from the outside but this place is hard to beat! I require frequent massages due to my occupation and this place did it just right. The day started off with a heated neck wrap, foot bath, and tea, then moved onto a phenomenal massage. This particular therapist incorporated weighted heat pads to facilitate muscle relaxation through out the hour in ways I have never experianced before. She also actually listened and spent extra attention on my trouble spots which dosent happen all that often. All in all, this place was great! Its also in a less busy part of California, so parking was east. No pressure to purchase items when I was done, and fairly priced for all massage services. read more

Permanent eye makeup. Joni did a wonderful job 10 years ago. I went in to have my eye liner touched up. It cost $175 and includes a follow up touch up within 3 months if I want. I love how my eyes pop with the liner. I don't have to worry about my makeup running when in hot yoga. The procedure is that she numbs your eye lid, then she tattoos the color in. You have to apply an antibiotic for a few days and I did not do hot yoga for a week. I highly recommend Joni and Head to Toe spa. read more

I went into head to toe day today for the first time for a facial and a lash lift. I met Monica who was super kind and easy to talk to. She talked me through everything she was doing and made me feel right at home. After leaving, I noticed my lash lift got a little wonky... maybe over processed, I'm not sure on the science of these things, but it just didn't seem right. I wasn't even sure if there was anything wrong with how my lashes took the treatment, but called just to see what they thought. They had me come right back in to get it fixed. I don't know what Monica's schedule is like but I imagine on a Friday night, having an additional client wasn't ideal, but she continually THANKED ME for letting them make it right! They applied a softening treatment and fixed my lashes and she asked me to call back on Tuesday when she was back in to let me know how they were holding up and let me know they would do whatever they could to make sure I was happy. I should mention the little touches they provide throughout the process such as water, tea, and orange slices and a peppermint patty after my session definitely make a difference in my experience. I work for a company that will do this sort of thing for customers, but I rarely encounter them as a consumer. I'm new to West Seattle and something tells me there are more local businesses here that treat their clients like this. I appreciate their promptness and their willingness to make things right. I have always walked out feeling refreshed and relaxed but one time I was disappointed because I had an appointment that I was really excited for and I drove a long way only to find out that my provider had called out sick. I have been a customer here for 20 years but have had my last treatment thanks to the aggressive and unnecessary policy of requiring a credit card on file. As frequent as security breaches are, I'm not comfortable with a small business having my credit card on file, especially for something I use as infrequently as a spa (and I can't imagine Head to Toe is using state-of-the-art encryption for keeping those numbers, either). I will also note that in 20 years, I have missed exactly one appointment, which I called about in advance and paid for in full. When I protested the policy, I got a somewhat snippy response from the front desk: "it's the same for everyone, everyone has to leave their card." While they can have any policy they like, it seems a disadvantage to long time customers and there are dozens of places to get massage in West Seattle, including Fauntleroy Massage, which does not require a credit card to reserve. The treatment staff is good, though there is a great deal of turnover, especially in massage and waxing. Finally, the sheets in the massage rooms have been downgraded to a polyester/rayon blend which stick to you post massage oil. I asked for cotton sheets but they don't have them any longer -- it feels cheap and not very nice on your bare skin. read more

Beyond disappointed. I made an appointment a couple weeks back and the gal on the phone told me to come 30 minutes early. When I arrived all the lights were off and the door was locked. I waited and even came back after 15 minutes, waited in my car until the appointment time but nothing. After I had driven home and sent my babysitter home I received a call asking where I was. Since I had already been home, we rescheduled for Tuesday the 30th at 11:30am. When I arrived for my appointment today the gal at the desk said they didn't have me on the books. I thought it was a joke but sadly I was never rescheduled in the system even though I had confirmed the rescheduled appointment over the phone. Second time I found a babysitter just to send her home early. I was hoping I had found a west Seattle massage spot for my friends and family but sadly I will not be going back nor will I refer. I have visited H2T on 3 separate occasions. The first visit was mediocre but the last two visits I've had have been amazing. The spa is tiny but the waiting area is inviting and you're always offered water or tea and snacks (cookies were out today). I went in for a facial, my second, from *AMAZING* Dennise and she was prompt and so friendly. My facial was incredible- paraffin dips for your hands, lavender/lemongrass foot soak before you even get your service started. She must have used 12 different products on my face and it all just felt so luxurious. Her facial massage (and arm massage!) is incredible and left me relaxed. I left with my skin glowing and feeling amazing. I love the little orange and chocolate they leave after your service as well. Overall I was surprised by the very personal service I received. Dennise clearly remembered who I was and/or takes amazing notes and remembered even what my profession is. I look forward to returning! read more

We moved here in June, and I have been trying to find a good spa. I'm looking for a place that is clean and nice with a good menu of services, but which is not snotty. Everyone at Head to Toe was wonderful! I was running late, and the receptionist couldn't have been nicer. Betty performed a traditional facial that was amazing. Betty was so nice, despite my tardiness. She instantly made me feel comfortable. The facial was great with just the right balance of therapy and pampering. The spa itself is very clean and very nice. I could not have felt more comfortable. Betty did not push products on me, and she was willing to provide free samples when I asked for advice and recommendations. Friendly, clean, upscale service. They use organic salts, polish, oils and offer a variety of organic spa products for purchase. I was treated by a friend to a pedicure and it was an hour long pedi. Love it. I have been twice now for a massage. Both times I've called relatively last minute and been able to schedule a massage within a day or two of calling. Both times have seen Danielle, who's great. Personable, right amount of pressure, focuses on problem areas and areas you ask for focus. It's a little on the pricier side for how often I'd like to go...They do have packages but I wish it was set up with more of a discount per massage (6-massage package saves only ~$6 a massage I think). As I sit on a sail boat, eyelash extensions blowing in the wind, and technology being what it is, thought I'd write my review. Alison is THE BEST. I loved her work on my own, but I get so many compliments from stylish women about my lashes. It's really no surprise because she is meticulous and takes pride in her work. The length and spacing are two commentaries thay follow "your lashes are amazing!" The salon is what I love my day spas to look like- boutique-style and incredibly relaxing. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. It's also open Sunday, which makes my life easy and helps me to end one crazy week right and start the next at peace. One last thing: wildly affordable for the services -especially for West Seattle. BUT! Not cheap, ya know what I mean. Well, I am so glad that I was finally able to put the gift certificate to good use by booking a massage. My first and only experience at this spa was amazing. My massage was with Ashley. I arrived right when they opened and was quickly escorted to the back area and was seated in a chair and was told that we would be doing a foot soak. I immediately thought there was a mix up and that they had booked me for the wrong service. To my surprise I was wrong and this was how they started their massage appointments. After completing the foot soak I was led to the massage room. After getting situated I was then tucked in with a warming blanket on the massage table - pure bliss. The next hour was exactly what I needed. I can honestly say that this was one of the best massages I have ever had at a spa. Ashley is not only very sweet but a very talented massage therapist. Today was my first visit to Head to Toe for a massage with Jenifer. I live in West Seattle and had driven by their location many times and finally decided to give it a try. Let me say it is the best massage I have ever had anywhere. Jenifer is just incredible. She uses the perfect amount of pressure, not soft but not so hard that I was in pain. She found every spot that needed work. The spa is clean and quiet and small. The service was excellent from the tea in the lobby to the orange slices after my massage which somehow where exactly the thing, who knew? Got a gift certificate for my birthday from my fiancée and was so excited to be given a gift certificate with so many options! For one of my services I got an amazing pedicure from Stephanie who clearly had a ton of experience as I later found had been doing it for 14 years. Everyone I talked to in the lobby were regulars there for massage and facials and steam rooms. Everyone raved about it and now I see why. My problem with other places (I.E. gene Juarez who Ive yet to have a good experience) is that they never fully get my calluses and touch skin, or the file them unlike what I had asked for, or the massage was less than however Stephanie did amazing and I will for sure have this be a regular place for me. read more
