The car is great. The service at headers is not great. My title was sent somewhere to an old address. I had to an extra $150 to have it sent to the new address. And when I called to make sure they had the address on file it wasn't updated they said they would put it in my file and hung up on me. They also said that it could be up to eight weeks and there's no time guarantee on when it could be coming. So then I asked could they give me another tag because it was obviously out of date and they said that's illegal soon now I have an illegal car that I have to drive anyway and not because I didn't pay for insurance not because I didn't do everything right but because even when I went to the DMV in Indiana they had no record of this car title being transferred or even where it came from. So now I'm just sitting waiting hoping and wondering if they sent it yet or if I'm going to have to pay another $150. Worst customer service ever. read more

Update to last review, I purchased a 2007 Chevy Suburban from this lot and less than 6 months later the transmission went completely out on me while on way to work. I called & spoke to the dealer Justin & he tell me that I can bring it in and he'll diagnose for free but won't do work on it. After further discussion the Owner decided to put a replacement transmission in and I had to pay $600 plus cash to pick up my truck. Fast forward i pay the money to get it back then days later there's another issue I take it back they agree to fix for free it's been 2 weeks no one calls to update me and when I call Justin acts like I don't have a reason to be calling. He eventually told me to pick up a loaner which I did and vehicle was 100% unsafe to drive brakes were to floor. I returned and have heard not a word. This place is definitely a rip off they will get you in something Quick already having the knowledge of the issues. The management team sucks you can't talk to anyone pass Justin which is unprofessiona. The only people that understands how to be professional at Header's is the friendly women at the front desk. I've always made payments on time and often times even early. They're currently holding a truck that is financed to me and I've been paying on it. read more

Bought car almost 2 months ago got paper plate good for 45 days. I called the Thusday before expired on Sunday the lady I spoke with was Very rude said Nothing they can do till it expires...wow ok she hangs up with out a thank you for calling have nice day. Now it's Friday she calls tell me title is in mail. Now its Sunday plate expired I call ask for renewal she said no be illegal because title in mail said call back Monday. I check mail no title I call again rude again no can't get renewal title in mail in Fort Wayne. Tuesday no title in mail. I call ask speak to general manager he listens than said hang on going check see what's going on and then the rude lady back on said still in fort Wayne 2 days now and said call back tomorrow speak to manager. So tomorrow be 4 days with expired paper plate and just getting passed around with no results. I would highly recommend to shop around elsewhere just Bad business on their end read more

I hate this place every year for years they have been selling messed up cars to people knowing its something wrong with them. And always holler about "As Is" or " No Warranty". Then when you bring the car back they claim they will fix it AND DON'T they are liers. I'm sick of them and they need to be sued or shut down. read more

Do not buy from here. My friend paid $6000 for a car and motor blew up the next week. Wade told us the car had a different engine with around 40000 miles on it. We called Wade the week before and wanted to return the car. It was still running at that point. He told us too bad the car was not returnable. He did not offer to trade for a different car. Screw Headers nothing but scam artists.. Pictures online look nothing like the cars in person.. different mismatched rims busted windows. Than if you go for a test drive odds are youll run out of gas or the car will need towed back. YOUR CAR WILL RUN FOR A DAY OR 2 THAN TAKE A DUMP. We bought a car from a friend less then a year ago after getting into an accident and losing my truck. She was talking the car up so much almost to seem like it was just the perfect car. Well let's just say in less then a year We have had nothing but engine and mechanical work done on it. nearly 1000 in repairs in less then a year. I finally said screw it and sold the car for cheap, and decided to check out headers. I knew about the reputation of headers but despite what I heard we were desperate, because we have a baby due next month, a 4 year old, and well who doesn't need a vehicle? Only having $500 to our name we went in and filled out the application and the same day got approved for there but here pay here option. We came in the next day and our salesman, Scott met us outside as he had been keeping in good contact with my boyfriend and already expected us. He instantly asked if he could pick out a car for us because he said he just knew this car was in really good shape, and wanted us to leave in a car that was good for us. We checked it out took it for a test drive everything worked great on it. We asked to look around at a couple different ones, we did that and asked about a couple of them and he was HONEST and told us they needed a lot of work and that he was so sure that the car he picked out was gonna be the best one as it had no issues. So we took it home ! (Niiiice Ford 500 red paint almost no cosmetic issues, real beautiful.) now lets get to the part that people always talk about. When we test drove it no lights came on. Well 3 hours of having it the check engine light came on and of course knowing headers reputation we were a bit nervous. Took it to autozone and what do you know , one code that was less then a $20 fix. No big deal at all!!! We have drove it over bumps and even drove it nearly 80 mph to checked fluid colors and everything on it pretty much the works and there is literally NO problems!!! So stop being afraid to try headers. If you come in late oking to leave the lot with a car that cost 1000 dollars, you're gonna have problems! It's not gonna be perfect! No different then finding one on the market for that price. Honestly give them a shot, ask questions, listen to what they're telling you, check the car out don't leave with the first thing you see that's cheap. Then you'll be back in here saying you got screwed over. When I'm reality you didn't do your part in making sure you got a good car! We are doing payments and so the car is not one of those cheap cars, we made sure we were leaving with a car that wasn't gonna "break down" in a week like every other headers review claims. I have managed to not buy a vehicle from this place for the past 2 years (their prices are appealing) but I had a truck to sell so they didn't give me as much as I wanted so I traded "up" and only paid $400 between the 2 vehicles. Within 5 days of having it my back tire fell off (thank God I had a vibration and knew something was wrong) and one of my lug posts was missing and all the lug nuts were gone. Everything else looked fine. Then after the first week, I notice a black film on the top of my reservoir and and my engine has a slight tap. If you buy a vehicle from here have a mechanic do a full check on it, that's all I can say. Thought we checked it out well, but apparently not. You only get what you pay for, you get a cheap priced vehicle and it will truly be cheap but will cost you more in the long run. It's like my dad always taught me and for some reason I forgot it until now, buyer beware. read more

Stay far, far FAR away from this place. When in to inquire about a car I found on Autotrader, the sales man offered to print me a price list with everything in my price range. After he found out I wanted to finance, he told me he printed me the wrong list. He came back with the the new list and the the car I was interested in was now $2000 more than if I paid cash. i bought a $3000 truck at headers that was barely worth that but i needed a 2nd vehicle. i hadnt even made it the 20 mintues back to my house and the check engine light had come on and my rear lights had stopped working. the next day after doing everything that i could to do to fix it without paying an arm and leg i called to see if they could swap it for something i could acutally drive legally they told me that wasnt an option. but if i wanted i could bring it in and they could have their repair guys fix it at my cost. this is what they do they. they reset the lights so you think you are buying an okay vehicle then charge you a ridiculous amount to fix it. they knew it had issues when they sold it to me and lied about it when i asked before my test drive if it had any and let me buy a lemon. when if they were an honest company they would fix the issues or at least price the vehicle according to its issues. so basically im going to end up paying $6000 for a truck that was barely worth the $3000 that i paid in the first place. read more

I have purchased 2 autos here, the second auto quit running 7 hrs after I purchased it. Their auto mechanics could not repair repair it and sent it out to two other mechanics. Their mechanics had flushed and changed the radiator and coolant but failed to bleed the air out of the system, causing major fluid leakage and stated it was my fault. Russ, the service manager and salesman, became extremely rude and belligerent when I stated I wanted a different vehicle after they had the car for 1 month and wanted me to make a payment. He also lied to me about changing an Mass Air Flow Sensor. They did end up waving the first payment, however, I am stuck with a lemon that I continue to pay of and throw money at constantly. When you are purchasing from them they are wonderful but after sale is complete the entire staff is rude and act as if you are a second class citizen beneath them.
