    BBQ ribs!
    Yuk L.

A local brought us here for lunch before heading to Trunk Bay. My friend and I shared the BBQ ribs plate. Our companions had the oxtail plates. Excellent food. Great location.

The food here was delicious, the staff was friendly and the vibe was of a local chill and hang out spot. I hope when we return they are more established.

The best food and the best pina coladas on the island. My husband suggested this open air resturant and bar. We ended up here twice during our short vacation because it was that good. He ordered the oxtail and I had the steamed fish both times with sides of lentils, rice, potato salad, coleslaw. You must also have the fresh juices available. They will kindly add a shot of rum if you ask. The pina coladas are fresh and so good. Listening to Bob Marley and enjoying the freshest most flavorful local food was absolute heaven.

BEST FOOD WE'VE HAD ALL WEEK! WELL SEASONED, FLAVORFUL, WITH LOVELY SERVICE BY KIND AND WELCOMING OWNER AND FAMILY- HANDS DOWN BEST MEAL ALL TRIP!!!! We had seafood pasta (MASSIVE Pieces of LOBSTER inside), and four local fish with THREE SIDE DISHES for each entree . Soo good, super reasonable prices, LOCAL AND FAMILY OWNED, I'm super bummed I didn't find this gem the first day but will be v happy if others discover this family friendly outdoor place! Very relaxed atmosphere, tables with dominoes to play with and just the friendliest and most helpful people!!

The drinks are a little pricier, but taking into account you're in the middle of a national park with not much around, the prices make sense. Drinks absolutely delicious - we loved the pina colada! They have plenty of seating, so you can either stay and enjoy or take your drinks back to the beach across the street. I'm not sure if they're related or not, but there is a little food shop little right next to it with the same available seating. As with the drinks, food there is a little pricier but take into account where you are. We ordered the mahi bites. Absolutely delicious. Fish was solid enough to pick up but flaked apart in your mouth. Would totally order again. Great place to stop when you're enjoying the beach at Maho Bay.

This place is the hub for anything fun you plan to do in Maho bay: ample rentals to kayak, paddle board, snorkel, chair rentals for the beach front. Great strong drinks and a fun chill vibe to chillax, play corn hole, kick back and people watch, or stare at the stunning turquoise wonder that is Maho Bay. Very highly recommended.

The Longboard's creative cocktails, specifically the Swell Chaser and Paloma Brava, are perfectly crafted. The ceviche, Shrimp Tostones, and Isla Verde poke bowl are fresh, bright, and delicious. We've never been disappointed -- the food is always on point, and the service is always welcoming. Even though the restaurant isn't right on the beach, it absolutely has the vibe. It's comfortable and inviting -- the perfect stop after a day in the sun for happy hour and light bites or a relaxed dinner in a laid-back island setting.

Having said that, it's a beach bar vibe like most places. Open-air seating, no AC, and beach club motif. In this case, it's a one-page menu of food and drinks, serving ceviche, sushi wraps, and poke bowls...that's it. Some appetizers, but that's the menu as you'll see in pics. We ordered an F-bomb frozen drink that was COMPLETELY refreshing on a warm day. Happy hour is early 2:00-4:00, so know that if going for dinner. For entrees, I got a Tropical Poke bowl with tuna (they also offer two other kinds of fish). It was chock-full of pineapple, pickled onions, sushi rice, and other goodies. In other words, a typical fresh poke bowl. Our other entree was a jerk chicken lettuce wrap with chili flakes that was really good and deceptively filling. At the end of the day, this was a great meal and atmosphere, and we would return if we have exhausted all options in Cruz Bay.

If the waiter just came to the table our bill would have doubled for them. Therefore? It was very over priced for the full package. Dinner entrees are all $40-$60 for moderate portions. I know St. John is expensive and there are several other restaurants charging the same prices but those have full staff checking on you and a much more refined interior. This place is good but prices should be 30% less or they should up their interior & service. All that said, the food was all great.

For our date night we went out to The Refinery... the food and service were great. The drink menu has many options, and we selected the non-Caribbean, the Hawaiian-themed humuhumunukuapua'a (humumu) drinks... they are poured from dry gin, lemon/lime, orgeat (also in mai tai), and pineapple - very good! We made surf n turf from two menu items: - Mango mahi mahi - Churrasco Steak and fries - Both served with yucca fries - similar to potato french fries but a bit lighter and really good The Refinery is located a block from the street with several other restaurants in downtown St. John, and is right next door to a building that is home to The Legislature, the St. John Annex of the US Virgin Island's law-making branch of government. The spacious dining area with a great happy hour and dinner menu comes out at 5:00. We got there for the lunch menu and were glad we did because we got sandwiches which were great. Candidly, nothing on the dinner menu blew our minds. The tuna sandwich with wasabi and arugula was fantastic, and the tuna was prepared perfectly! We also got shrimp tacos that were better than the sandwich for what it's worth. Our server, who didn't give us her name, was sweet and attentive and even brought a cask of water without us asking. At the end of the day, High Tide delivered as advertised. Three last thoughts if you've read this far: Park at the MVD and walk; it's not that far and free. Get the Key Lime Pie; it was outstanding but pretty typical of the area. Lastly, stop at the merch store and grab a t-shirt, which are some of the best I've seen so far!

As for the food m, I thought it was okay. I ordered the chicken curry off of the chef specials menu and I wasn't blown away by it or anything. The rice and broccoli sides were plain, the chicken was cooked fine, and the sauce was good, but not amazingly flavorful like other curries I had had in the past. And for this being a chef special, I just want super impressed. The waitress we had was super kind though, and our food came out quick which was much appreciated. Again, the view is amazing and they have a decent menu listing. While this place is great for a cocktail, sunset, and "little something for everyone" vibes, personally I think there is something left to be desired.
