One week ago, I made the mistake of trying out a cheap salon I found on groupon and let's just say I learned my lesson from trying to get "natural" partial highlights from a salon I don't trust. After my hair dye from hell at the groupon salon, I called Headlines and they were able to squeeze me in asap with Allison Lovejoy, who was able to bring my hair back to a normal natural state and I still would be hating my hair if it weren't for her. I have been going to Headlines for 26 years. I was thrilled to be able to have my hair cut and colored. The new process because of Covid-19 was so easy. The salon is so clean. I was not st all concerned. Knowing Gayle the owner I knew it would be more than safe to go there. They took my temperature. Everyone was wearing masks and the chairs are set up so the stations are more than 6 ft apart . The stylist Andrea was exceptional. I went yesterday to get my hair cut. My hair is shoulder length. I just wanted it cut a little more blunt to fix my damaged pieces. I am left with a horrible haircut. I am so embarrassed to look in a mirror. They did their best to fix it with a different stylist in which I am so grateful for. But I am so sad that I have to live my life with this hair cut. I have been stripped of any self confidence. I am hoping to invest money into extensions to add confidence back into my life. I just want to cry. I am so devastated. I look like a member of the Beatles with this haircut and extensions are the only thing I have left to try to add confidence. I do NOT recommend anyone go see June. When I got to Headlines I was immediately greeted and asked on multiple occasions if I wanted anything to drink. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. I had not gotten highlights in a long time and wanted to lighten my hair a little. When I sat down, Hannah asked all of the right questions to figure out exactly what I wanted! Since I am getting married in November, I wanted to come in early and have my hair done to make sure it looks right on my wedding day. This place repeatedly exceeds my expectations. By far, the best salon I've ever been to. The whole staff is so kind and warm. The lather lounge is THE BEST. It's soo relaxing and the head massage is just the best. Nicole is absolutely amazing. She really knows her stuff! She always absolutely nails every cut and color. She's also very honest about what will and won't work and why, which I really appreciate and offers her suggestions of what she think will look best too. I can say I have been getting my hair done for over 25 years now, and she is one of the few that has managed to not only obtain the color results I want, but also keep my hair healthy and that is not an easy task as my hair tends to get very brassy and I keep asking for ashy blonde, this girl works miracles on my hair. My hair feels soft and manageable, yes! Even after getting it very light highlights. I moved to Carlsbad less than a year ago, I am just glad I was able to find her, she has made my life a lot easier.
