I got my vehicle repaired at this location, at least three different times. The first two were very…read moreminor repairs. On the third visit, it involved major repairs because the Allstate claim adjuster, didn't considered it a total loss. After hearing the various damages, right away, I inquired about new parts versus aftermarket or used parts. But most car insurance companies, usually don't offer new parts as an option. Low and behold, about two years after a part to my wheel was installed, it went bad. I thought it was a tire, ball joints, a rim issue, etc. I really didn't drive the vehicle much at that time, and because of the pandemic, but the noise still lingers. It finally struck me in 2023, that it was the same part that this shop installed from the major accident that had been making the noise. Long story short, I called my insurance company and the shop. This shop gives a guarantee on the body courtesy of my insurance, but the catch being ... you only get a year, two, or 10K miles, or (something close to that) whichever comes first. on non-body parts that were replaced or repaired. Despite having a top-rated car insurance company, most people don't zero in on the verbiage that's told to them or what's in the agreement because they're either stressed out, very busy, dealing with other pressing things, and or many are very happy everything got covered. But beware, if it's mechanical, electrical, the many undercarriage or wheel components, etc. that exceeds the short mileage or the short expiration time, you'll have to eventually pay out of pocket to buy new expensive parts, pay for expensive labor, taxes, more stress and time lost if you keep the vehicle. Folks, start demanding that car insurance companies start providing customers with new parts for non-body parts too after an accident instead of inferior after-market or used parts. I'm willing to believe my expensive wheel part that South Loop Auto ordered and installed was likely used. They lost my business because they could've apologized and ordered a new one or a good aftermarket one and not charge for the labor since I purposely gave them my business a few times. I have to eventually write a bad review regarding Allstate too for not requiring new parts, especially since my vehicle was only two years old.

On top of that, I noticed my car was returned without proper care there was dirt left in the back seat. At this point, I no longer trust this shop to handle my vehicle. I will be exploring legal options and recommend others proceed with caution when considering their services.

I came the first time and asked for a quote to pop out the dent. The owner tells me $30, but they were booked for the day. I come again and they were booked again. I confirmed a second time on pricing and he says $30-$40. I come back the third time and he finally puts a mechanic to work on my car. After the job was complete, the owner asks me the price we agreed on and I told him $30. He goes into a crazy tantrum saying how he would never accept the job for so low and tried to charge me $80. I argued back saying how he told me twice $30 and we settled on $40 cash only. There was faulty airbag sensor found during the dent job, but after this experience, I decided to not continue with their services. The mechanic did a good job, but I would not come back.
