Damage was severe enough that the car had to be towed. Fortunately, no one was injured. Fast forward roughly four weeks and I reclaimed my car today. It was exactly what I expected: impeccably repaired with a paint job--thanks to master painter and WBS owner Danny Avalos, Jr.--that matched the original finish perfectly. I had some growing patches of rust on my 1998 VW New Beetle that multiple body shops declined to work on, either saying that it couldn't be fixed or that they did not want to take on the challenge. The job was nearly half the in-person estimate I got from a competitor, who padded the bill with what seemed like unnecessary extra work. Just picked up my BMW that I had scraped alongside the brick exterior on my garage, and it looks incredible! Danny might be the nicest and most fair/honest auto body person I've ever encountered. I paid out of pocket for the repairs, and it was much less than I was expecting it to be. He even dropped it off at Firestone to have an alignment done, which I would have had to find time to do on my own. Like most, what attracted me to Western Body was the yelp reviews and word of mouth. Western Body doesn't look like the high end shops that charge 3x as much, but the work that is done is better. Let me explain. Western took in my 2012 Mini Cooper S after I was hit on the side quarter panel by an suv. I got quotes all over the place, but western came in at a 1/3 of the price some of the body shops were quoting me for the same service. However, what really sealed the deal was meeting Danny who was a standup guy and who seemed like an honest hard working individual. I was told 3 days and than I wanted the bumper done and it took 5 as it ran into the weekend but when I got the car back I didn't notice any damage whatsoever, it looked brand new just like Danny said it would. They also cleaned it up real nice. Keep in mind, western auto is VERY busy so that is one of the primary reasons it took 5 days so book early. I really appreciate the work they did. Seriously such a good experience at this place. I initially came in to get my front bumper replaced, but I knew that other parts may have been damaged from my incident. I told them to let me know any other things that would need replacement and the urgency of those repairs. They gave me an estimate the same day and we scheduled a day to bring it in. On my way to drop off my car for the scheduled bumper repairs, I got involved in a hit and run, which slightly shifted and cracked my back bumper. They took a look at it, and got me a quote for the repairs that afternoon. I ended up not getting the back bumper repaired, but when I picked up my car (I think it was 3 or 4 days later) they had buffed off the paint streaks and, from afar, it didn't even look like my back got damaged. I really appreciated that. The front bumper itself looked great, and it looked good as new. They also washed and vacuumed my car! Overall, an awesome experience for a not-so-awesome situation. Gustavo was great at answering all my questions quickly and honestly and preparing quotes quickly for all the repairs. He understood my sensitivity to cost, and didn't try to sell me on something I didn't absolutely need or ask for. Highly recommended. Don't waste your time or money anywhere else. read more

This place is honestly amazing. Our family has dealt with this little shop for many many years and no wonder it's still thriving. They tow your car (if needed) to their shop and try to get things moving quickly. Gustavo, at the front desk, is completely transparent and communicates regularly so you're never in the dark about your car repair. Now on to the actual repair. The car looks pristine. If anything, it even looks better than even before the accident. I had very specific requests as to how I wanted my car. Each and every specific request was met and they even paid attention to the little details. The pink strap (in the photo below) is placed EXACTLY where it was when the car was brought in. They also were kind enough to wrap (not dip, which isn't as great as wrap.) a part of the bumper I had previously dipped black. Making the car look even better. I contacted a bunch of body shops after scraping and denting my door on the garage. Danny at Western bodyshop was able to get me a reasonable quote extremely quickly w just some pics I emailed, not to mention they had all the work done within 3 days of me dropping off the car. What a breathe off fresh air after I went in to a body shop in Gold Coast off Elston that told me I'd have to replace the whole door at a cost of at least 6-7k!! Really annoying to look at, after taking it somewhere else and not getting fixed properly I reached out to Western Body Shop and brought the car in early Monday morning and had my car back by the time I got out of work. Believe and read all the reviews about Danny and the team at Western Body Shop. I would give them 6 stars if I could. I had some rust damage on my left rear wheel well and a nasty scratch and dent on my right rear quarter panel. Before Danny, I got 4 estimates on the work, including a body shop I have used in the past, which was TWICE the amount that Western Body Shop quoted me. In fact, Danny's quote was the lowest of the 4 quotes I got and his quote promised the least amount of time to get the work done. Result: He delivered on time and the work was first rate and he kept me informed on the work progress via email throughout the project. He even cleaned the inside of my SUV. Look around on other ratings website. You will see the same high ratings that are on Yelp. Should I need more body work on vehicles in the future, I will turn to Western Body Shop and recommend them to anyone who asks. read more

I don't know much about cars, but he walked me through everything very clearly and was always available to chat via text or phone call or email if I had questions. I had a great experience here. I needed some body work done on my 2009 Nissan Versa after I was involved in an apparent hit-and-run that required repairs to my front bumper. I initially reached out to the business via Yelp to get an estimate. Danny immediately followed up on my request, and I sent photos of the car a few days later. I was given two preliminary estimates, and then I went in for an actual estimate. It's a small shop, and the office is tucked away just off Western, but I never had any issues parking on the street. Gus was fantastic to work with! He is clearly very knowledgeable; without giving him many details about the incident, he was able to identify what likely happened based on damage done to my car. He immediately noticed the headlight looked a little askew, and sure enough, when we popped the hood, the bracket which holds the headlight was broken. He also was very good about making recommendations to things that should be fixed right away, vs. cosmetic repairs. Once he identified the repairs, he pulled together a full estimate shortly thereafter. The estimate process from start to finish took about 20 minutes. The work done on my vehicle was fantastic...my car looks like a million bucks; the bumper looks much better, and the paint job was a perfect match. They also got the car in and out during the time promised; they even pushed to have repairs done a day earlier, because I would be out of town for the holiday. The only "red flag" is that when it came to the estimation process. I was told right up front that he would be giving me the absolute, 'low as we can go' deal. When I didn't flinch, and told him I'd get back to him about whether or not I'd be using their services, he managed to knock the price down two more times for seemingly arbitrary reasons. I paid $75 less than what I was initially quoted. I won't complain about a lower bill, but clearly he didn't give me his bottom line upfront. Great service, otherwise! I'm very pleased with the time frame, great customer service from Gus and Danny and I'd definitely trust them with my car in the future. read more
