Plus, handmade products as well. This College Ave location is the everyday stop when you need to grab anything from vintage starter jackets, I've gotten retro J.Crew pieces here in additions to Y2K Nike pieces. Try them out if you're on the block. Parking can be busy, but there are 2hr free spots on the nearest block where the store is. It's also independently owned by a young cool duo. I fell into this intriguing Antique store on the main st. of Park Ave. It has 2 levels of pretty much anything ranging from Furniture, clothes, knick knacks and various things which are anything that constitutes as " antiques". I had bought a Hockey Jersey which has the infamous Friday the 13th villain but definitely in mint condition never worn. Sports memorabilia and Throwback jerseys and hats. The cashier was super friendly and helpful. It has something for everyone and also has reasonable prices.

They did a great job packing and quickly shipping the tote bag. The purchase was kind of funny for a couple reasons. One, I thought it was a vintage bag because I didn't know you could resell newer items on Etsy that are not handmade. It looked vintage to me, so I didn't question it, but it turned out the bag is from a few years ago. No big deal. Second, I didn't pay attention to the bag's measurements or the word "mini" in the title. I had to laugh when I took it out of the box. It's so tiny. It looks like it will maybe fit my phone, wallet, keys, and that's about it. I was expecting it to be much bigger, but that's totally my fault for not paying attention. The tote bag is in excellent new condition with the tag still attached. It also came with a detachable long strap. I'm not sure what I will do with it because its teeny size feels too small for me, but it's an awfully cute bag.

I have been attending the Vintage Fashion Faire since the very beginning! I really love attending…read morethis show because of the various themes and locations over the years. Sandra Michaan who oversees this event brings the most unique vendors with various eras and wares so beautifully displayed. Sandra also runs the Alameda Point Antiques Faire which always is the first Sunday of every month. I have much enjoyed when the event when it was held at the Albert H. DeWitt Officers' Club (O' Club as it is more commonly known) on the former Alameda Naval Base. It has also been held at Rock Wall Wine Company and more recently at the Michaan's Annex Auction Showroom. I have enjoyed the evolution of this show and always find something for myself that I have to have. While some have complained about pricing please keep in mind that these items are vintage scarce hard to source and getting harder to find thus the price you pay. But I find that in most cases the prices are not set in stone there is room for negotiation. I have never paid the marked price. I find that many of the vendors are quite knowledgeable about the wares in which they sell. And are happy to give information freely if asked. I don't mind the entrance fee I mean $ 5.00!!?? For what could be a days entertainment and people watching. And there are always themes the last theme was "Sci-Fi Drive-In" spaced themed. There has been the fabulous 1940's, old Hollywood glamour, Steampunk, Mad for Mod, and the 1950's. There are food vendors there and sometimes coffee a well. I have long enjoyed this show and I will only continue to attend. Sandra Michaan keep up the great work and I hope your shows only continue to grow.

I don't like it when places charge me to shop. Especially when I know that they are charging their…read morevendors upwards of $500 to show their wares. I call that double dipping-- charge the vendors AND the customers. But, it was on the island,and my husband and I wanted something fun to do together. We thought the $5 entree might be worth it. Since it was cash only, my husband went inside to the ATM. While he was there, I tried to peek in best I can to see if I thought it might be worth the entrance fee. I was, oh, say, 10 feet from the entrance and tried to look through the door. As soon as I did, some d00d, about 6'4" moved to block my sight line, obviously on purpose. Um. Okay. You're strange, but I can deal with it. Husband came back with the cash and gave it to the amazingly less than friendly women at the door. We walked to the entrance and watched while the three people at the door blocked the folks trying to leave. Not on purpose, but it was pretty clear they didn't have a clue about about customer service. I moved over to let them pass, and looked at the guy doing most of the blocking, and he finally moved. Um. Okay. So, I walk up to the guy with the stamps. He stamps my hand, because my husband is obviously right behind me with the tickets. But. Wait. Big tall guy who previously blocked my line of sight now moves directly in front of me. I'm staring at a skinny tie, some ten inches in front of me. Some woman, who seems to be part of the Super Duper Security Detail, joins him to block my way. I feel slightly threatened and wonder why, since it is clear my husband, who has the tickets, is right behind me. (No throngs of near rioting masses here, it wasn't a Jones Brothers concert, there were, say, twelve people in the lobby and six of them were workers.) Eh. We make it through the Super Duper Security Detail and into the exhibit area. Meh. Not bad, not great. The prices are high because the cost to vend there is high. Nothing I see I want. I get to the end of row 1 and look. And, guess what. There is a row 2. But no rows 3-7. Really? We paid $5 for this? You know that feeling that you get when you think you've been cheated? Yeah. That one.
