Really excellent experience all around with this company, I wish I could rate them more than five…read morestars. This company was recommended by a colleague and it was a fantastic recommendation. We had a couple of water activities we wanted to do, and Sky Pirate was EXTREMELY accommodating to the activities, as well as rescheduling in case of weather. I could not be happier with them and I can't recommend them highly enough. We rented a small boat one day. The price included the fuel for the boat. We had the absolute best morning riding around in it. The guide was really helpful in explaining the guidelines for the boat, as well as where we needed to stay (geographically, unfortunately we could not take the boat way out into the ocean lol). We came back with no issues and with the craving to go back ASAP. Another day we went parasailing. I thought it was gonna be maybe 20 feet above the boat. Nope. We were so high up, it was such a gorgeous view from way up there. We saw the idak and from a new perspective And even saw some dolphins way down in the water. We felt very safe and had a fun time with our group. We were elated with our experience with Sky Pirate and we would highly recommend them. We can't wait to be back!

Well, it was very fun, I was sick, so unfortunately, it made me kind of nauseated. Due to feeling sick I asked if we could change the day of our parasailing to another day later in the week since I wasn't feeling good. They told me that it wasn't possible and that " I had to just suck it up " were his exact words, unless I wanted to lose the money. With that being said, I went ahead with it because I was there with my boyfriend and it's something I wanted him to try since he had never done it before. After we went parasailing, I had asked where I could collect our video, since that was the package we had purchased. Well, to no surprise, they never took it. They didn't offer to redo it another day, they didn't offer to take us back up to take it. They didn't show any empathy whatsoever. Just honestly very rude people with zero customer service skills.

The island is walkable, but we opted for the 11am Ferry and if we had opted for no golf cart, it would have felt like we missed a lot. The ladies at the check in were great. Unfortunately, they had to deal with a Karen that obviously didn't read how it worked. If they made the reservation online, you clearly picked a departure from Hilton Head and then your departure from Dafauskie Island. With that being said, if there's a review for Memorial Day 2026 that's bad, don't pay attention to it. Our Ferry ride operator was cool. It was a smooth ride in both directions. Left on time both directions.

When we finally got the boat, it was in very poor condition. The cushions were ripped and worn, making it clear the boat hadn't been well maintained. The biggest problem, however, was the motor. It struggled the entire time, topped out at around 9 mph, and constantly sounded like it was about to die. We spent more time worrying about whether we'd make it back than enjoying our day on the water. Overall, the condition of the boat did not match what we expected, and the combination of the incorrect meeting location and poorly maintained equipment made for a frustrating experience. I hope the company addresses these issues so future customers have a better experience.

I think this might have been my first fishing expedition and I would do it again. I suggest getting there early enough to get situated. What I didn't know was you could bring backpacks and flexible coolers which are stored inside the boat area. Most people brought sandwiches and snacks for the journey. They also have a concession stand inside which serves food, snacks, soft drinks and beer. The prices are reasonable. Even the $85 for the 5.5 hour excursion seemed very reasonable as well. They provide all the equipment and bait. You just need to bring your skills or possibly patience. The crew helps to show you how to fish and takes care of anything you may catch and want to bring back. They do the fileting as well as packing of the fish. For my group, we just wanted to hang out and enjoy the open seas. Most of us caught something, but nothing worth keeping. All catch and release. We start out going through the tributaries towards Calibogue Sound towards Daufuskie Island. There are some artificial reefs we were able to anchor near. The Captain knows where most of the fish are. Some folks on our excursion caught some decent size fish which they were keeping. I caught a Croaker, but tossed it back. A family with small children had some sea sickness so it's important to bring Dramamine or buy some on the ship. My take it--- if you're a first time or casual fisherman, this is for you. if you're more of a professional, get a charter.

We had a fun time, saw some dolphins too and as far as I could tell everyone caught a few fish! We got to keep our croaker and whiting to eat at home, the others we tossed back. You may get sick. There's medicine on board and the crew is super attentive with cold wet towels, which is super revitalizing believe it or not. The crew is moving nonstop to help everyone but they're always chill and patient.
