It was easy to make the reservation online. You pick your departure to Dafauskie and your return trip. Recommend getting the Meals and Wheels option. The island is walkable, but we opted for the 11am Ferry and if we had opted for no golf cart, it would have felt like we missed a lot. The ladies at the check in were great. Unfortunately, they had to deal with a Karen that obviously didn't read how it worked. If they made the reservation online, you clearly picked a departure from Hilton Head and then your departure from Dafauskie Island. With that being said, if there's a review for Memorial Day 2026 that's bad, don't pay attention to it. Our Ferry ride operator was cool. It was a smooth ride in both directions. We had a disappointing experience with this pontoon boat rental. The first issue was being given the wrong address for the pickup location, which caused unnecessary stress and delayed the start of our day. When we finally got the boat, it was in very poor condition. The cushions were ripped and worn, making it clear the boat hadn't been well maintained. The biggest problem, however, was the motor. It struggled the entire time, topped out at around 9 mph, and constantly sounded like it was about to die. We spent more time worrying about whether we'd make it back than enjoying our day on the water. Overall, the condition of the boat did not match what we expected, and the combination of the incorrect meeting location and poorly maintained equipment made for a frustrating experience. I hope the company addresses these issues so future customers have a better experience. read more

Got so many beautiful pictures out on the water. The boat I was on was very nice and big enough to hold a pretty good size crowd. My group of 9 women went on the Hibachi cruise. The cruise was so fun and relaxing. We saw dolphins and enjoyed the natural beauty of Broad Creek. Dinner was delicious. Staff was very engaging and entertaining. Only thing we would recommend is more chilled alcoholic drink options. Over all a fun experience and well worth the cost. read more

The trip to the Island was nice and everything was ready (golfcart). They give you everything you need map, food vouchers and in my case support. I wouldn't book anything with this company. I had bought 8 tickets and one of my friends couldn't make it. I contacted their office and asked if I could return one ticket and just make it 7. I was told yes this wouldn't be a problem. So, we went on the tour. The boat chose to wait 45 minutes to leave the island after we were told to board in order to get two passengers from another one of their boats that was coming in late. It was well over 90 degrees outside and there is no AC on the boat. Their credit card machine also wasn't working so we couldn't get water. The day after the tour I contacted the office to ask when I would get a refund for the one ticket. I was told I wouldn't get a refund because I was outside of the 72 hour window. If I had been told this when I called originally, I would have given the ticket to someone else. Or, at the very least I would have asked for the meal and drink vouchers that came with the 8th ticket. They refuse to take responsibility for their communication mistake and insist on not giving me a refund or even addressing any of my concerns. I would skip this trip and find another company that values customer service. read more

We truly enjoyed our visit to Daufuskie Island with The Daufuskie Difference, Island Head. They were prompt in departing for Daufuskie as well as our return back to Hilton Head. We reserved our golf cart through them as well. It was ready and waiting. We made our way back to Daufuskie Crab for late lunch. My boyfriend had the fried shrimp and I had the chicken tenders. Both arrived hot. The public restrooms were clean. The ride back to HHI departed on time. It was a great trip. I would do it again. read more

The pontoon boat had a duct taped engine; the cover on the benches inside were all split; lots of rusty stuff all around inside. Having said that, the boat ride turned out fine- we had a 2 hour adventure- saw lots of dolphins,etc. But they really need to rehab their pontoon boats- the one we had not had any maintenance in years. read more

I cannot with a good conscience recommend this experience. First, I was told only at departure there would be an extra fee if I wanted to go along to observe my children. I have done parasailing twice before with them each time I was simply observing and I had no fee. Unfortunately, I felt held hostage in this scenario they require 24 hrs to cancel reservation with no penalty. In addition, their website makes no reference to a charge required to go along with your young children ( youngest was 5). I confirmed my 4 children were the only ones on the trip. So, again a charge is never mentioned in any form about going with your children, 24 hr notice is needed to cancel, and there was more than enough room was available on the boat. Next, I cannot post the video but not only did they not let me ride with my children on the boat ( I had two other children too young to parasail and they wanted again the 50 dollar observation fee for 4 year olds and younger), but you can see one of the employees (while my children are in the air) is laying down and fooling with his phone. The video also shows my children in the air and the captain with his hands off the wheel talking to another staff member. My children are in the air and not being observed in any manner. This is inexcusable and extremely immature. The captain is also viewable playing on his phone while driving the boat and my kids in the air. Last the description says approx 1.5 hr and that you will or may see this or that wildlife. It was less than 45 min or 100% less time then advertised and I payed for. I cannot express my level of disappointment in this experience and their staff. Grown men taking someone else's children on a boat, tying them to a parachute, and these men are unable to put their phones down like a teenager. Inexcusable. read more

What an amazing night on the water this was. We have been visiting Hilton head for the last few years and when we saw this we knew we had to reserve it. Hibachi on the water?! Two of our favorite things. The food was EXCEPTIONAL. A little hard to entertain a hug boat when people aren't circled around the chefs but they did a great job entertaining the ones around them. Our family had the best time on our dolphin tour on 12/23. The views of the island were spectacular and the dolphin spottings were plentiful.
