Pretty much chose this little joint because it was pretty much the only pizza place open at that time of night (early morning). But the guy who answered the phone was upbeat and pleasant. This is one of my favorite pizza joints in town. The veggie pizza is amazing...especially with all the banana peppers and fresh veggies they include on the pizza. I have also tried their spaghetti, fettuccine alfredo, salads, and loaded stromboli and hot ham and cheese sandwiches. I have yet to find anything that is not delicious. Comparatively, they are a little pricey. But the quality is so far above any other place, it is somewhat easily justified. They have an excellent delivery service, calling you when they are on the way. There has only been one hiccup in service; once a delivery driver had a breakdown about a mile from our house, and I had to go meet him at a convenience store to get my pizza. When I arrived to meet him, he said he had just quit, but still wanted to make sure I got my pizza. (In my book, that is the mark of a standup dude). My only gripe involves their cookies. I guess if they hadn't changed it, and had package these this way from day one, I wouldn't know any differently; but, the way they used to package their cookies was in a plastic tin, all together. They were always piping hot, ooey and gooey. Now, they individually wrap each cookie in plastic. They haven't been coming hot any longer, definitely nowhere near as good nor at the quality they once were. Again, businesses need to listen to their customers' suggestions; and, most importantly, realize that if it ain't broke, don't mess with it. read more

I ordered over the phone and the lady was either drunk or getting Alzheimer's. She kept asking my name and my order and kept forgetting what I was saying. I get there and she still kept asking my name and she says my order isn't ready when she said it would be done in 30mins and it was 40mins. She told me to hold and it was there all along. I pay with my card, checked my account this morning and was overcharged by double! All I had was a large 2-topping pizza and they charged me $45, also the pizza was wrong. Good service but food isn't quality at all, I think a better option would be going to walmart and getting an oven pizza. Food is almost always raw and doughy after a couple times I figured eh maybe it was an accident or just a bad day but almost every time i've ordered the garlic knots it's always really doughy and raw. My sister and our friends ordered Heady's for our Oscar's party last weekend. It was my first time having Heady's and I was extremely impressed by their wings!! They were juicy and big and the sauces were amazing. The pizza was okay, I prefer a little bit of a softer crust, but I would give it a 7/10. A friend and I ordered garlic bread, spinach salads with grilled chicken and white chocolate chip and macadamia nut cookies. The bread and cookies were exceptional. The salads left a lot to be desired; however. In the past the chicken has been grilled strips, this time it was shredded. We both ordered extra meat. There was hardly any meat on either salad. At nearly $47 for the order we were highly disappointed. We will think twice before ordering from Heady's again. read more

The manager jay is unexpectedly rude when me and my husband walked in to order he was on the phone taking a delivery order after watching him get off the phone and go out the back to smoke completely ignoring the fact that we were waiting to place an order we then ask him if we can order now and he replied with they were short staffed and busy I then explain to him that since I had been there only one person came into the building and they hadn't had a single call in over 20 mins he then told me I could wait until they had the time or leave. I moved out of Evansville years ago but Chicken Blah Blah runs through my veins. I LOVE that pizza. It is deliciously perfect on thin crust. I always got Heady's when I lived Downtown. They deliver all over Evansville, and graciously delivered to us at 1:00 a.m. all the way across town at Howard Johnson. The driver was awesome, food was awesome and hot as can be expected.
