Happened upon this place while visiting mammoth. Lucked out and booked with Ben, he was amazing!! I originally scheduled for just 30 min and then chose to extend to an hour because he is just that wonderful. Ben is very skilled. After I described the tightness in my neck he knew exactly what to do and I could not be more pleased with my massage, which was more myofascial oriented than anything else. A couple days later and my neck feels so much better without the horrible knots/tightness at the base of my skull that had previously been plaguing me for months. I happened on this massage place after a long long day at the slopes, and they were thankfully able to take me in for a massage appointment. My masseuse (I think her name was Tracy) asked me to specify what I wanted I wanted to work on, and work on it she did! She was amazing! Next time I'm up in Mammoth, I'm TOTALLY going to go her again. She was a fantastic find, as was this place! Right after I got my massage, I immediately recommended her to my dad, and he was equally pleased with his massage. I've now been to this place 3 times and feel I can write a thorough review. I'm picky with my massages -- I need deep pressure and usually go to a regular person who does myocardial release. After a couple full days of boarding, through its nice to get a good massage. My third time here last week was one of the best massage I have ever had. I had a 90 min with Christine. My sister had a 90 min with Carrie and loved her. And our friend had Jennifer who she also loved. Depends on your preference. I loved Christine's pressure and style. I had a massage here with Carrie that was really good. She had the perfect pressure and technique for my sore Crossfit muscles. The room was nice and cozy and the bed was also very comfortable. I liked my massage so much that I returned the next day for a 90 minute European facial with Sandy. She also did a phenomenal job. She used different brands of products, gave a great massage, and was very relaxing. Finally, I checked out the restorative yoga class with Tara. The floor was heated which was a plus. There is a large column in the middle of the room, but it didn't hinder the class. I really enjoyed the small class. I will always come back on my return visits to Mammoth. read more

I am from germany, was 2009 in mammoth lakes as a tourist travelling with a car. After driving thousands of miles i had back pain and got a massage in the studio. It was the best one in my life. I had a lot of massages in my life, but no one was better than is. The woman (don't remember the name) did exactly know how to handle every muscle until it was relaxed. We wanted sports/deep tissue and that's what we got. $80 per hour. Andie was our massage therapist--she rocked. Excellent service. Similar to another review, I went in after a day on the slopes. I wasn't planning on getting a massage but last minute decided to get one. Tracy Bahr was my massage therapist and gave me an excellent massage. She does take extra time on the spots that need it and found others that I wasn't even aware were there. Don't be fooled by her stature, she will work out any knot that you have. I plan on going to see her whenever I'm up there. Don't think twice about it, go you will be glad you did. read more

I booked a massage with Carrie based on a friend's recommendation and also dropped in for an all level morning Yoga class on Saturday with Stacy. The yoga studio is really nice -- clean and calm with cork floors. Unlike "spa's" this center is very focused on the individual. Last week I was in Mammoth with my older kids to ski. In the middle of the night after the first day of skiing, I woke up with a severe headache and neck pain. I had not fallen that day and I drank quite a bit of water to avoid altitude sickness. But I do suffer terribly from TMJ and tension headaches. Advil did nothing. I suffered all night. I didn't ski that next day and hoped a massage would help. I scheduled one with HAC and Morgan was my masseuse. All I can say is that I have had at least 50 + massages in my life and never ever have I had one that completely alleviated my pain symptoms. Morgan asked me where my problems were (mainly in my head, neck, jaw, shoulders and upper back) and she focused on those areas for at least 45 minutes of the massage. This was literally the best massage I have ever had. All of my pain went away and I didn't have any further pain for the rest of my time in Mammoth. I only wish I knew of someone near me that had Morgan's skills and obviously the understanding of what was causing my pain and how to eliminate those causes.
