He tried the steroid shots and that didn't really help any. I wanted him to try something unconventional to these doctors he had been seeing that never even bothered to even feel his neck for a simple evaluation before ordering more pills and scans. I sent him here and he called me after his appointment so grateful. He said it was well worth the drive through an hour of traffic to go here. Had he not went he wouldn't have found such relief. The doctor felt his neck and found two of his cervical disks misaligned and popped them back into place and basically told him he's fixed and never to come back. I've never heard of a doctor saying we don't want to see you again! My husband has already recommended this place to his family and I can say he's back to being my husband again and no longer moody and grumpy. We're going back for a follow up just to make sure his problem is resolved and I have to go to see this place for myself.

I had tried conventional treatments (steroid creams, anti histamines) with little relief, and I was desperate for something that would actually work without having to take oral steroids which is risky for the baby. From my very first visit, Dr. Jin was compassionate, knowledgeable, and deeply committed to helping me heal. He took the time to understand my symptoms, explain his approach, and create a customized acupuncture treatment plan. After just 1 session, I started noticing a real difference, and as I continued treatment, my condition completely cleared up--something I never thought would be possible....my dermatologist and OB were shocked. I did not need to take oral steroids and risk my baby's health. Dr. Jin is truly a master of his craft. His expertise in acupuncture and holistic healing is unmatched, and he genuinely cares about his patients. If you're struggling with a chronic condition and feel like you've exhausted all options, I highly recommend giving him a try. I'm beyond grateful for his help and wouldn't hesitate to see him again for any future health concerns. Thank you, Dr. Jin, for giving me relief when I needed it most!

She asked many questions to ensure we were on the same page. I felt incredibly calm and relaxed after my first session, so continued to see her for months on a regular basis. I was being treated for infertility, which was not a doctor diagnosis but it was taking some time to get pregnant, so I figured I'd try acupuncture since it's non-invasive. Karen also gave me Chinese herbs (pills) to help regulate my Qi. After a few months I got pregnant and stopped seeing Karen (due to other doctor expenses and out of precaution during pregnancy). The office is in a medical center, so does not have the feeling of a spa, however I liked the professional setting. She makes sure you are very comfortable and leaves the room mostly dark so you can relax during your session. There is soft, calming music playing and she even puts a heater on your feet to make sure you are warm! It was so soothing and wonderful. Each time I left I felt rejuvenated and very relaxed.

My…read morefirst pregnancy I was induced at 41 weeks, so this second time around I was very motivated to avoid induction again if possible. I started with the free consultation with Reagan, the main acupuncturist at the Sugar Land location. She was super friendly and discussed my situation with me to see how they may be able to help. I had a total of 3 acupuncture treatments by Reagan and by Vy, another acupuncturist at the clinic. Both of them were super professional and friendly, and if you've never done acupuncture before, know that the needles are barely noticeable and don't cause much discomfort. When I was 39 weeks and 4 days, I woke up with some off and on contractions but nothing sustained. I went to the clinic at 3:30pm and had my 3rd labor prep acupuncture session, and by 5pm my contractions were more consistent, by 7:30pm I was in a decent amount of pain with contractions, by 1am I was at the hospital and a little after 2:30am I had delivered the baby! If you're interested in labor induction acupuncture, I highly recommend the Axelrad Clinic. I also recommend that you discuss with your OB or midwife whether they'd be OK with you starting breast pumping/breast stimulation to prepare your cervix and encourage labor -- this is another method that is powerful and drug-free. https://evidencebasedbirth.com/evidence-using-breast-stimulation-to-naturally-induce-labor/

I would like to dedicate my first review of 2018 to Yin Yang Acupuncture. I have been wanting to…read moreshare my wonderful experiences to the world since I received my first treatment last year. I was referred by my Yelpers friend Mark W. Few years ago, I was desperately looking for a reliable and knowledgeable acupuncturist near me. Most of them in Chinatown don't meet my basic requirements. Mark said, "try my mom." I've gotta tell you, after my first treatment I felt like someone took away a rucksack filled with rocks off of my back. I came back for sciatica pain few weeks later. This time was an acupuncture treatment. Dr. Lu's technique is very skillful. There were 2 types needles, orange one applied to my forehead and others in my belly and legs. I didn't feel any different right after. But I felt energizes after 4 hours of my usual grocery shopping. I normally take an hour nap before repackaging meats away. But that day, I had so much energy I even cooked our dinner, prepared my lunch and washed dishes. People always think Yelp is for restaurants and Yelpers are all foodies. Not so fast. There are so many non-food businesses in town that with mentioning. You may have seen my cupping photos (multiple shades of circles on my back). That is an ancient Chinese method to improve blood circulation. Once air is drawn out of a glass cup, it's applied to my back immediately. Doctor will move the cups like playing mahjong on my back. I really don't know how it works but it felt so good afterwards. The circles disappeared after a couple of days. I swam with my tank top, because I don't want to freak people out. **1st review of 2018**

I went here with a friend for a couples massage during a midweek spa visit, thinking it would be a…read morerelaxing experience since it was not very busy. I had actually been here a few years ago and remembered it being decent, which is why I suggested it. Unfortunately, this visit was one of the worst massage experiences I have ever had. Before the appointment, we both clearly noted that we wanted strong pressure and listed the areas that needed attention. I specifically mentioned knots in my back and neck, and my friend noted pain and tension in her shoulders and upper back. Despite that, there was almost no pressure during either of our massages. I even asked during the session for more pressure, but I was ignored. The entire experience was uncomfortable. During the hot compress and hot stone portion, one of the therapists kept placing the hot stones directly on the massage bed near me. Because of that, I kept accidentally touching them during the massage, and they were hot enough to burn me. More than once I reacted because it hurt. My friend even asked me if I was okay because she could hear me reacting. At first she thought maybe it was from too much pressure, but I told her it was actually because the hot stones kept burning me where they had been left on the bed. The therapist was aware this was happening and still did not move them or put them somewhere safer. That was not only uncomfortable, it felt careless and unsafe. When it came time for the actual massage, very little oil was used, to the point that it felt rough and uncomfortable on the skin. I asked for more oil more than once and again was ignored. Since it was supposed to be a quiet and relaxing environment, I did not want to make a scene, and I assumed maybe my friend was having a better experience, so I tried to get through it. Afterward, my friend immediately said she also had a bad experience. She mentioned that she usually relaxes enough to fall asleep during massages, but this time she could not because it was so uncomfortable. She also said she barely felt like she received a real massage and that her problem areas were not addressed at all. We both had very specific tension points, and neither of us felt that those areas were worked on in any meaningful way. What made the situation worse was how it was handled at the front desk and by the manager. When I politely explained that neither of us had a good experience, the first response I got was asking whether I was paying for both services together or separately. There was no acknowledgment of the complaint itself. When I asked if there was a manager or owner I could speak with, one of the front desk staff walked away without explaining what was happening, while the other just continued processing payment. When the manager finally came out, her response was dismissive and defensive. Instead of listening, she basically implied that even though I requested strong pressure, the therapist may not have been able to provide it because of my body size and because the therapist was smaller. That was inappropriate and unprofessional. If that was truly the issue, it should have been communicated beforehand instead of giving me a poor service and then explaining it away afterward. I also specifically mentioned the issue with the hot stones burning me and being left on the bed, and that concern was completely ignored as well. That was one of the most upsetting parts of the experience because it was a legitimate safety issue, not just a matter of preference. I also got the impression that the therapists were inexperienced. The manager's attitude only made things worse. She kept focusing on the payment and mentioned that she could have given 10% off, as though that addressed the actual problem. I was never refusing to pay. I simply wanted the business to acknowledge that the service was poor and handle the complaint professionally. Even the refund and recharge process for the discount turned into an awkward and unnecessary ordeal. On top of that, the manager suggested bringing the therapist out to question things directly, which felt confrontational and uncomfortable, especially since we were calm and respectful the entire time. Overall, the massage itself was poor, but the customer service afterward was what really guaranteed I will not return. There are too many good massage places in Houston to spend money somewhere that provides such an uncomfortable experience and then responds with attitude instead of accountability. I would not recommend this place.

As other yelpers indicate, you are greeted with tea on your way in and I chose a mimosa on the way out. Then, they give you slippers to walk from the lobby to your room. Mine were way too large and kept coming off down the hallway. The massage I chose lasted 1 hour and the best part of course was when they walk on you since they get a little deeper that way. It's just a completely different feeling than a masseuse using their hands. Overall, customer service was excellent throughout the entire visit from all employees. The interior appeared to be fairly clean as well, as this is a legit massage place.
