Pros: Easy to book, online system for registration was straightforward, facilities are clean & peaceful. Cons: The biggest con was that my masseuse, who was very sweet and gave an effective massage, started coughing 45 minutes in. She eventually had to excuse herself to leave to go cough more in the restroom. After waiting a while, I got dressed and left. I shared what happened as I was checking out and didn't get a single follow up question, just 'here's what you owe and do you want to leave a gratuity'. It was so awkward. At a minimum my massage should have been adjusted to the 60 minutes I received. I just wanted out of there at that point so paid, tipped my masseuse 20% (I felt bad about how worried she was) and left. I would not return and was disappointed that this was how my Christmas gift / birthday 'relaxation' present went. They have cancelled my appointment 2x. The first time was when I was already infront of the location so 5 minutes of window time. Then the second time was the day of my appointment. Now that I am trying to reschedule they would not allow me without charging me because it was not within 24 hours of window time. Quite unfair for the customer. It's like going to a doctors's office in which you can't be late more than 20 minutes but they can be late seeing you for more than 4 hours. Only support businesses that has fair treatment. Booked a one hour, requested medium pressure and I made sure I said not too light. There were a few times during the massage that was medium but 90% of the time was very light and was simply her coating me in massage oil. Not worth paying for a one hour just to have to get back home and take a good shower to remove all the oil. This was not relaxing at all. Just a total waste. The location and ambience is below average. Music and ambience should be more spa-like and relaxing. Also, didn't appreciate the extremely long list of all I had to sign and initial which included giving away my personal information to their third party entities. I asked for that to be removed but was blown off by the reception just giving me a fluff answer that they they'd keep it private but she didn't do anything to show me that. I purchased a monthly membership last year and I have greatly enjoyed booking a massage every month. I have had a few masseuse and while Mila is my go to, recently Lasonja was a Godsend. I suffer from chronic migraines and had 2 pretty bad attacks in 1 week. My friend gave me a Groupon Birthday gift massage here. I was pretty excited to go, but I was a little bit disappointed. It also seems hard to reach them by phone. I also feel that they can work on their interior design more to give a more comfortable aura. The hallway wasn't decorated and designed to give a relaxing feel. I've been to other places that had paintings and soft lights in the hallway to build up a relaxing atmosphere which I think is necessary for a massage place. The massage therapist that worked on me, I feel, is more suitable for someone who wanted a real good deep tissue massage and who wanted to get all the knots out. For me, I wanted just a more relaxation type of massage. There were many times during my massage that I had to tell her to go lighter, but she was still very strong. It was still a good massage overall, but I was looking for relaxation. She was a really nice and sweet lady though. I do like the tealights on the tray at the end. It was a nice touch. There is also Aromatherapy when you check in on Yelp but they ran out of eucalyptus, so I had to choose another type. They have cancelled on me (therapist KiKi) 3 times now within hours of the scheduled appointment. They have such a strict cancellation policy for their customers yet no policy when they cancel. They offered to provide another therapist but no other offer to compensate for cancelling at the last time. If you read the other reviews, they cancel a great deal on their customers. In a city where there are so many options as to where to go for a massage, I am quite impressed with this Elements Massage location in Sugar Land. The locale is easily accessible, right off University Blvd, parking is plentiful and more importantly, the ambiance is what it should be. Tranquil, clean and warm. What really draws me in, is the level of service and professionalism from the staff. From the front desk to the massage therapists, everyone is on their A game. During my first visit I asked for a therapist who specializes in deep tissue, and that's surely what I got! When I called to make another appointment, I guess they must've made a note of that from my first visit and asked if I would like to see the same therapist for another deep tissue. I purchased a groupon for this place after reading the reviews. This is a really great place to get your massage. You are greeted by the lovely receptionist and if it is your first time, she walks through the steps to complete the paperwork with you. I arrived approximately 20 minutes earlier before my appointment since I had to fill out paperwork. I understand things can get busy, however, I waited additional 15 minutes after my appointment time before a massage therapist greeted me. What upset me the most was that the individuals who came after me were taken inside before me to get their massages. I did receive an apology, but I was still upset. I could have received a coupon or percentage off for my next visit for the trouble, but that did not happen. I received a great massage by the therapist which lasted an hour. She is not the most experienced therapist or the best, but she is good at what she does. However, if I do decide to go next time, I'll probably get another therapist. Where to start...? First off, I live in Los Angeles. I go to some pretty high-end places for massages where I pay an arm and a leg for a mediocre hour long massage. Unlike Massage Envy and other places that force you to join. I loved the energy of the place. A really nice hidden gem. Waking into the room Daimon took the time to listen to my trouble areas and concerns and made me feel welcome and relaxed. The room was immaculate. Clean, serene, modern and inviting. He respected my privacy in and out of the room while I changed - a HUGE plus. This guy knows his shit. I thought I did being a yoga instructor but - damn, he's good. He walks you Through what he is doing to let you know if any pain you may feel - if you have ever had a Glute strain - you know what I'm talking about. Not only did he take his time on the trouble areas but evened me out on the other as well. On top of that he stretched me out afterward - going above and beyond and WAY OUT OF HIS WAY to help me. Even though I asked and said, it hasn't been 90 minutes - they refused to listen. I just came back from my massage at Elements Massage and it was absolutely wonderful! I was greeted by the lovely receptionist and she was super helpful and kind. She provided great customer service by providing me information, refreshments, and small talk. Natalie was my massage therapist and she was excellent! She really tend to my needs on pressure points and the level of pressures. I was so relaxed that I started to fall asleep! Parking is plentiful and the wait wasn't long at all. When we went in it was 3.05pm I started asking about the massage and my massage consultant was I can't do whole body massage since we are late, then she asked me what part of the body she should focus on I told her back and can't believe she spent more than 45 min on that area and I am a very petite person and same with my husband. Sydney was a great therapist who was very responsive to my issues (shoulder, lower back, hips that day) and had a good sense of pressure. I prefer deeper massages and she was easy to talk with ( I was talkative that day and she clarified earlier that she was comfortable performing in silence if I preferred). The massage was more thorough than many places that always shy away from getting close to the spine and Sydney also had a few home exercises she recommended to help with the issues I discussed with her. My boyfriend purchased 90 minute massages for us. My massage itself was good. It my masseuse was less than impressive. 90 minutes of nonstop talking is not how I envision a relaxing massage. I especially don't want to hear about how my underwear is in your way (no, it's not) or how you make your female friends boyfriends jealous because you give them massages or text them all the time. Whatever the massage did, the talking knotted me right back up. My boyfriend's massage sounded like something from a nightmare. It was his first massage ever so he was extremely excited with minimal expectations. His masseuse was all over the place. There should be continuity throughout a massage not a constant flipping from one body part to another with completely unbalanced massage techniques. He asked for more pressure and didn't get it but wrote that off because he figured she just couldn't do it. The comment he made that just flabbergasted me was, "yeah it's weird though that they massage your feet in the middle of it, kind of gross." Yes, disgusting. She massaged his feet and then went back to his shoulders! I don't care how clean a persons feet are, that's just not acceptable. read more
