This review is on my first microneedling session with Lynda Carter who has been my acupuncturist for 2+ years. I have a very sensitive skin prone to redness and large pores so I decided to try microneedling that is known to provide many benefits for skin including pore size reduction, increased collagen production that strengthens blood vessels and reduces redness, improves skin tone texture, etc. The first step of the procedure was skin cleansing, then a numbing cream was applied to my face and neck for about 20-30 minutes. The microneedling procedure was pretty much painless (a little bit of prickling sensation), I felt very comfortable the entire time. After that a serum and a soothing sheet face mask were applied to my skin. My face and neck looked pretty red immediately after the procedure, it took about 24 hours for the redness to go away. It's been 4 days and I can definitely see the positive results : more even skin tone, less noticeable pores, improved firmness and smoother skin texture. Day 10 -my skin keeps glowing. I first went to Chelsie for help with my allergies to various environmental elements; I have been dealing with these since I was a child and some of my worst allergy attacks leave me sick and weak. I was nervous about going to acupuncture because I was uncertain about needles and if it would hurt, but my sister had been a long time patient for a sports injury and encouraged me to go. From the start, Chelsie was patient and gentle. She spent time asking me about all of my symptoms so she could develop the best treatment plan. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that acupuncture does not hurt, and was even relaxing! With Chelsie's acupuncture treatments, and some suggested herbs and natural ointments from her, my allergy symptoms have become much better and I have not had a serious attack since I began treatment. I've only once left a yelp review and am not big into doing this, but this one was worth posting! Chelsie is amazing at what she does! I'm a crossfit athlete who has been suffering from chronic knee pain for over a year. It got to the point where my squat # was suffering and anything below parallel was killing me. I saw a Physical Therapist who was also great, he gave me some at home exercises but getting better was taking forever. I felt helpless. I originally started seeing Chelsie while she was an intern still in school. During my first apt she did ortho exams on me to distinguish where the tightness was coming from (I was very impressed). She found that the pain was actually coming from a very tight hip flexor and IT band. She released those areas and Estimed the knee around the tendon. After 3 treatments the pain was gone! I love Chelsie and this is from somebody who hates needles!! My first visit with her was nerve wrecking for me because I didn't know what to expect, but she explains everything in detail on what she is doing from start to finish. The needles didn't hurt she is very gentle with me. I am going through menopause and my Doctor put me on Hormones. I didn't want to be on that and she told me she could help. I was on hormones for 2 months before I saw Chelsie. I have not taken hormones since and it's been more than a year with Chelsie's help. Chelsie didn't stop there. In the past 10 years I had tried several solutions to cure my lower back pain (chiropractors, deep tissue message, etc.) without much success. They all helped ease the pain, but none managed to cure the issue; I recently decided to give acupuncture a shot and see if this method can help me get rid of the pain. To my surprise Chelsie manged to eliminate my pack pain after only a couple of sessions. She is extremely knowledgeable and fantastic at what she does.
