He gave the best massage I've ever gotten, really knew his stuff. I bought a 12 hour massage pack from this place since I had two good experiences. However as I started coming here through out the next year, Ying had left and I didn't remember the gentleman's name so every time I came back I just got whoever was available. There is this one lady, don't know her American name either, but her Chinese name also had Ying in it. I remember because both ladies have part of my name in their name. This lady gives the worst massages. She digs her nails into you when giving pressure and she presses on you with her arms which is okay but it's boney and she misses and ends up hitting some bone instead of muscle. I took my sister here for a couple massage and she got the same lady and didn't enjoy her massage either. She said the lady massaged her in places where she didn't care to be massaged and I knew what she meant. On top of this one time I got a 2 hour massage from this lady and I tipped her $30, which is more than 20%, she made a stink face at me and frowned!! I was taken aback how could someone frown when I give them a tip. I felt bad about it but didn't want to think about it and just left. My suspicion was confirmed when I returned with my sister and we got a 1 hour massage each. I tipped $15 each and the lady again made a stink face. She also complained that the $10 bill we tried to give her was old and ripped at the corner (like it's still money!) to get us to fork over the $20 bills we had instead. The owner was there and she asked nicely for more money saying the masseuses work hard so we were pressured into giving $20 each. They basically expect $20 tip here for each hour. I am actually happy to give that but this Ying lady gives mediocre massages and expect more. When I finished my last massage in my pack (thankfully it was good I got a gentleman the last time), the owner asked me if I wanted to buy another pack. I declined saying I was moving away (and I was). She also made a stink face for some reason instead of wishing me well. This is so rude!! If the massage is really really bad I would say something but for something like being rude especially towards tips, I felt awkward to call them out on it. It ruins the experience. I was just using up my massage package I already paid for. I couldn't wait to GTFO, and never coming back here again!

This is huge to me - I want to give my business to businesses that treat their staff well! I have chronic upper back pain and I received a referral from my doctor but - per insurance requirements - the prescription is adhered to strictly to comply with their provider expectations. If there are areas you'd like massaged but do not have a prescription for, my doctor was happy to provide me an updated prescription when I explained what I was experiencing in other areas of my body. I currently see Brianna for deep tissue work. She works quickly but thoroughly and always seems to find the right pressure for the areas that can tolerate more or less. I recently broke my foot and she talked with me to understand how to best accommodate my injury while making sure I have a relaxing experience where she can address my back pain. I've seen her a few times since and she always makes sure the table has the bolster on it before I lay down to protect my foot, and she has worked around it incredibly well. I always book her a few months out because she's so wonderful! Kaila at the front desk is the highlight of my week! She's always so friendly while I'm waiting or paying my copay and is able to explain billing questions to me thoroughly. The therapists always have big smiles when they are talking with her as well which shows me I'm not the only one who thinks she's wonderful. :) Booking here can be tricky but I chalk that up to their quality service, consistency, and professionalism. Like I said, I book my massages a few months in advance just to be safe, so if you know you will go in regularly that's a suggestion!

Then I had a missed called last night from Massage Center of Bellevue without any voice mails left. I called this morning only to find out that my massage for this afternoon is cancelled again! I brought up that both of my appointments have been cancelled within 24 hours (more same day cancellation) and that the office is not making any efforts to help resolve the issue. The office manager did not express any regret and she was not even apologetic and showed no signs of good customer service. What is the point of making an appointment if they continue to be unreliable like this? This is by far one of the worst customer service I have ever received, especially at a service oriented business.
