The woman who helped me was friendly and knowledgeable but didn't really listen to my requests for less suction. I'm very sensitive and tend to bruise really easily and I've been to cupping before just never with a machine so I kind of know what I'm talking about. Also, she didn't ask before doing cupping on my neck and part of my face!! What?!? That is bonkers to me as I have a public facing job and I kept asking if would have bruising and she said "no you'll be a little red but it will go away in a few hours". It did not. I had been dealing with sciatica pain and decided to give cupping a shot. I have had cupping done before and I will say that Rita definitely makes every minute count. She is skilled and I felt like she read my body well and knew where to go. Communication can be a little difficult at times but overall, that wasn't an issue. I saw her for 3 weeks straight and that along with the PT I was doing greatly improved my healing process. Red Cupping is the real deal! I'm a Seattleite but I've lived in Indonesia for the last 12 years and I spend a lot of time on mainland China. When I'm feeling sore and a massage doesn't cut it, I always seek out gua sha (sometimes also called coining or kerokan) and cupping. Rita has magic hands. this is a review after my second visit there. initially i had pinched nerve on my neck and arm pits that caused high blood pressure. guasha cupping helped a lot where it does pulls out all the pinched nerve and veins. 2 weeks after, i feel glowing and shining skin (facial and body). 3 month later i had lower back muscle contraction that caused severe pain (chiropractic did not help) and she relived those muscle with guasha cupping again. She's very personable and has an inspiring story about why she wants to elevate cupping as a healing strategy to more people. She listened to what I was telling her and was able to treat the areas where I was having pain. For a week or two before, I had felt like my whole back was really stiff.
